My mom taught me how to sew. She made our dresses growing up (because poverty) and altered all of our hand me downs. I keep a mini sewing kit in my purse. I would’ve raised that split to exactly where I wanted it. 💃🏾

That’s exactly what I was thinking. I would’ve enjoyed seeing it as well. I don’t think it was a waste of time. Every hair do is not going to be a success. That was/is a huge part of the natural journey; trying things that don’t work. I think that’s why some people cannot do the natural hair life. They chafe at the hard work and quickly become disenchanted by failures. The attempt at braid out could’ve been funny and maybe positive encouragement that every one has a flop once in awhile.

Usually I'm good with my twistouts, but braid outs have always been a struggle for me (my hair is never fully dry when I try to do them, but thank God for wigs I can slap on and go about my day). So I totally understand how Kelsey was feeling 😅😅 side note, I need Kendra to wear more colorful pieces!! That dress was so pretty 🙌🏿🔥

4 perfect braid out. Moisturize until wet, comb thru & at least 11 to 13 braids. More braids reduce drying time. Key: complety dry naturally, if possible. Enjoy!
