- Well what a year it has been so far with the weather. Ice is not looking good around the area but I am still finding some fishable ice. I ended up going as far as I could on this lake and just made it to where I wanted to go for walleyes. We have even more bad weather coming so we will see what happens hope it stays but who knows. If your ice fishing be safe and check the hole way out it different every step. Stay tuned for more videos coming if the ice holds up.

Fishing has been killer in the Fergus falls area. Lots of safe ice and nobody is fishing! I can’t remember the last time it’s been this hot of bite for this long.

I’m sure the 78 year old man who drown on Christmas Day on a small lake he wanted to ice fish on felt the same way you do. What are at in the MN and WI this year. 6 or 7 deaths and close the 200 who had to be rescued.
@rene8803 and I'm sorry about anyone's lose but I'm sorry it's a passion, here in South East Michigan me and my buddies are dreaming of any kind of ice , I just wanted to say that Marshall pointed out key things about his trip and I totally get it.

@@MUDDRAGGERRCI understand 100%. I’ve been on the ice this year already. And I didn’t feel safe at all but really wanted to drop a line. I think are all guilty of pushing the limit for the sake of fishing. My reply was more about age than anything else. I’ll be 50 this year and in my head I still feel like a young man. My body not so much. If I went through ice I don’t think I’d make it out without help. The 78 year old man who went through and didn’t make it out didn’t tell anyone he was going fishing. He didn’t come home one night and the next today someone reported ice fishing gear by the shore. I think he was testing the ice before he pulled his gear out and went through.
@rene8803 understand completely, im 59 and my brain thinks I still 25 , hahahaha. It is a risky game out there on the ice. I have never gone on anything under four inches in myself.

Been out the last 2 nights on a wheeler in the BLA. Pretty consistent 6-6.5”. Couple frozen in sunk houses too lol
