The last question he asks her, if there's a moment in the movie that's "her" - I've never heard anyone ask that of a filmmaker, and I think it's brilliant.

Is it wrong if I find her strangely attractive?
    She is my dad's age...

Chastain should have got the Oscar...simple. This film's filmmaking on another level...why wasn't Bigelow nominated at all for Best Director. Brilliant film.

Probably because she made it as a propaganda piece in collaboration with the CIA.

Also..... All of America were praising the skill and precision shown by Seal Team Six after the mission was carried out flawlessly. I guess this was Kathryn Bigelow's way of saying, "Wait a minute!! We did all the work!! America should be praising us." Ask yourself why they barely showed our troops at the last part of the movie. They didn't show the countless hours of training they did for this 1 event.... They even built a mock compound to ensure accuracy.

Well I didn't go cause my ol lady had to work, but apparently it is only crazed Batman fans that feel the urge to blast a midnight movie premiere. I'll catch it Monday-probaly smaller chance of getting blasted while watching the blasting on screen.

What makes you think this is a propaganda, maybe just because she show that torture works and you're right IT DID WORK BUT AT SOME POINT, NOT EVERYTHING and if she hadn't put that in the film, that is when it become a propaganda and why do you think these torture shits glorifying ? I don't understand

I think the story is bs but I am going to see it cause Kathryn Bigelow makes good war movies. I'll probaly wait till it comes out on BluRay as there are too many massacres going on in this country.

@ASDMarauder007 The soldier asked If they were going forward Based solely on the Intel. She snaps back saying she didn't want their help with their chewing tobacco and their velcro. Then they show her looking professional While the soldiers drink beer and throw horseshoes. See how you like, My own opinion is based on evidence and content

the movie was about maya. it wasn't about the Seals. And as an average viewer, I thought they were portrayed well. They seemed smart, down to earth, highly skilled, as well as humane.
And I don't see how it's feminist 'agenda' when it's based on a true story. maya was a woman, fact. doesn't make anthing an 'agenda.'

Not often, but sometimes, Peter Travers writes a decent bit of commentary/critique. After he gets the likes of oh-so-quotable pap like "One terrific roller coaster ride!" and "One terrific roller coaster ride!" out of the way. That and getting something for those lips chapped beyond Chapstick by kissing ass. (Yet still I must credit his most measured, poignant, and brilliant review of Platoon--"One terrific roller coaster ride!")

No they weren't. They were shown as individuals with different personalities and questions stemming out of mistrust of information. Intelligence, sophistication, and personality, would be the correct way of describing the soldiers

@ISaidSaidI People who offer no insight and and resort to name calling are usually as worthless in person as they are online. To bad theres nothing legal we can do to "thin the heard."

that is a very sharp observation, except that leni was much more talented, she was hypnotized as millions were, but leni had a long career....filming underwater, she was a pioneer in that field, before jack cousteau.
