Money Matters is a series where I have conversations with normal people such as you and I, on your personal finance issues.
It is important to note that I am NOT a financial expert, I am NOT SEBI registered, and I am NOT qualified to give financial advice.
Everything that I say in these videos is purely through my own experiences.
So these videos do not offer any stock tips, or specific mutual fund recommendations or get-rich-quick schemes.
I am not selling any product or service through these videos.
None of the brands that I mention in these videos have paid me to mention them, unless I explicitly say so (and I will say if the video is sponsored).
This also means that my advice may not always be the right advice. So incase I make a mistake, the best way to correct me will be to share your point of view in the comments, so that everyone can benefit from it.
I am not perfect, nor claiming to be either and would love to learn and grow.
The idea is simply to help people with their finance journey and through their story try to help others who may have a similar story.
In this episode of Money Matters, I help Rajat from Panchkula who's stuck in a dangerous debt cycle. With monthly expenses and EMIs of ₹1.28 lakh against a combined family income of ₹78,000, he's been using credit cards to pay credit cards - a classic debt trap that many fall into.
I break down his situation and provide a 3-step rescue plan involving debt consolidation through a loan against property, which could bring down his EMIs from ₹40,000 to just ₹4,600. This episode is crucial for anyone struggling with multiple loans or using credit cards to manage monthly expenses.

Rajat it takes lot of courage to stand and face your own mistakes, you have overcome that fear. Don't worry and be positive you have got the best possible advice, follow it religiously and you will be debt free.
Ankur sir hats off to you again!!!!
I think It Is A Very Good Financial Advice To Make Him Stable❤....I Can Admire That "CREDIT CARDS ARE WORST NIGHTMARE FOR A MIDDLE CLASS FAMILY" 😢
Credit cards can be tricky if not managed well, but with responsible use, they can also be a helpful good money managment tool. Budgeting and 100% payments make all the difference! 😊💡
Hey It depends on how U use it & where all U use it.
Even a KNIFE is also dangerous won't we use it in the kitchen.
Guys be gentle and soft spoken don't humiliate anyone if he will be seeing his video and Reading comments he will feel very bad and as much I know, already he will be in a lot pressure by family so don't make it More tough for someone. Everyone do some mistakes in their lives maybe this was eyeopener for him and brother if you are seeing this mssg then bro work hard follow the steps and guidance given by sir you really need it.
And guys be gentle in comments if you can't encourage someone then don't discourage them.Reading all this people will hestitate to join conversation and tell about themselves openly
The problem is he came on video but is not saying anything properly and which monthly expenses gets to 15L loan😅

This guy is trying to look bechara, but the way he fu**ed up his finances, he seems to be super smart in a bad way and I am sure he will not take any suggestions from Ankur. I really wish Ankur should make a series with "How Money Mattered after 1 year" and show the life of the guys with whom he interacted and suggested.
Ri8 i also want this
The sheer arrogance he has saying " Kharche ho jaate hai ", I mean, I am not wanting to be judgemental, but this attitude of actually being in an arrogant state of mind that too when your neck deep in shit is profoundly found in folks who have no financial knowledge whatsoever, yet want to seem like a smart guy. Furthermore, instead of asking for clarity from Ankur, when Ankur suggests him taking a loan against his property to pay off other debts, he again wants to sound smart by saying that he had already done the same in the past. I mean the sheer audacity of being so ignorant time and time again. Hats off to Ankur for trying to help such inconsiderate folks around. Certainly something to learn from and be on the right path.
@chiragrana2323 Absolutely pin pointed the things which I felt while watching this episode. I felt that he wanted to gain sympathy by trying to look like he is in deep trouble but he is such a dumbass trying to be super smart. At the start of the video he mentioned that I we don't track our expenses and budgets on excel them how can we keep track and later the way his finances looked , it is a pure joke.
Also who the he'll spend 7K for kitchen and again 5K for grocery, 6.5k for milk and them 5k misc as Gas and other.

With so many loans , who can afford to have 2 pets, and 15 k electricity bill. I am in panchkula and electricity rate here in Haryana is way lesser than neighbouring states.Despite 2 AC running in summer, bill was never beyond 7 K. Good advice by Ankur, giving best suggestion.

But what he caught???
@ As you can hear and see in the video , The guy was sharing about his personal loan which got accumulated to around 15 Lakhs +plus he is paying hefty percentage of interest on this loan ! Activa se acha usko car sell karna chiye
Car sell
@@RAJ-km8gw exactly, because two wheeler to chahiye bhai..chote chote kamo ke liye useful hoti hai
4K electricity bill, I live in a 4 bedroom villa. I don’t get 1700
2 Suggestion from my side- 1st you should cut your monthly expenses as much as possible and use that money to pay high ROI Loans. 2nd you should also use your PF money to pay your high ROI Loans.
Bro I have similar finical problem. Please sujjest ki kaise bahahr niklu
Bhai ke kharche bhi bahut hai 2 dog pal rahe hai 2 Activa 1 Car dudh ke 6500 kye hai ye 😢 electricity 15000 😢
Rarely I've seen such an attitude of someone from Panchkula. By the way, great video with excellent suggestions and strategy ❤👏🏻👍🏻

Woww .... bahut hi best suggestion diya aapne ....❤
I was happy when I got a credit card but I learned later the rate of interest and I immediately paid off the 3 months emi and closed my credit card .Never took loan in my life .Thankfully my mother is a great businesswoman who taught me how bad unhealthy debt is .Even while building home ,I’m not taking any loans but will my own savings I’m building one new home .God is good .Thankyou Jai shri krishna hai shree ram
loan ka mtlb abhi tk clear hua he 😂
O goshhh...how people can have a lifestyle which is not compatible with income. I am feeling frustrated after hearing this...Ankur has lotssssss of patience for sure.
My first suggestion will be 1)"sell the car and Activa" and pay off the Credit cards loans(instead of taking Loan against property)
2) Try to reduce light bill which is 15000
3) Stop all investment.
Now u can add your car expenses in PL emi next 3 years u have to do.
I know the pain behind it credit cards and personal loans wale 50 average calls karte hai per day
Once upon time i was in same situation.
Situation ko understand karke standard maitain karna important hai bhai😊
Correct brother....but my think the only shell the car....
He Should also focus To increase income from different sources. 😊
Income badana hi iska main goal hona chahiye
Such an amazing video, I'd not comment on how the person was playing with his money but the advice that Ankur gave is actually both financially and psychology better for the guy to improve.
Amazing sir, And the way you have guided and the way you explain, that upto mark. Love you Sir
Rajat brother, please follow what Ankur sir suggested. You have a kid and you better be a responsible father. Even if you cant give her any assets, is fine but get out of this mess as soon as possible.
Rajath, you have a great support system. I couldn't agree more on what Ankur mentioned but i would add the following
1. Maintain the daily expense excel sheet (if needed let me know I will share it)
2. Reduce the petrol expenses. 7K is a lot rather stick to rule
Brother, can you tell me which bank give this types of loan because I also eagerly wants to know about loans. You said 4% interest rate and the other side home loan like 7-9.5 something.., i always thought that home loan is the cheapest loan ever..
So can you make video's on how we take loan for minimum interest rate
I find best comment because everyone talking shit but you guys are talking about how to free to this trapped

I can understand this person's situation. I have been in this situation. But God Grace we realised and closed all the credit cards. We Pledged not to take credit cards ever. Took finance from our close friend and closed all our bank loans. we started paying little little amount to our friend and 95% of our loans cleared within 2 yrs. Now we have started saving and started our travelling journey. I used to watch your videos on lockdown. Your The best finance advisor tho you say your not certified finance advisor.
