The interior of Nexon leaving infotainment is clear winner over XUV 400. I have a feeling, NEXON will launch facelift for both petrol & EV in 2023. And they will update rear looks & infotainment size with better battery quality too. So, I guess it's worth waiting before going for XUV 400 now.
I think Nexon EV Max is better product. If Nexon EV max is priced higher than XUV400 then also Nexon EV max is my choice. Because, interior premium, design, regenerative break , wireless charger, ventilated seats this features are missing in XUV400. Also Tata in EV spaces already tested in market and more than 25000 ev's already in market. Previous EV experience of Mahindra in EV with everito is extremely poor. I will go safe with Nexon EV Max even it cost more.

Real range is not known yet and the design of this car is just trash, they copied ssangyong Tivoli design and now framing it as their own which still doesn't look good. Nexon ev is just 1000 times better than this.

Range only depends on the battery capacity and not on the battery manufacturer. If Tata themselves are providing 8 year warranty on the battery, then its that they are confident on the cell quality. Also, even though Mahindra sources the NMC cells from LG, its the first gen cells from LG which has had a lot of recalls around the world in models such as Hyundai Kona due to defects. So have to see what solution has been thought by Mahindra and LG in this regard. Hope LG has solved that issue.

Xuv 400 has better power, specious and more range. 8. From the last 3 launches we can observ that Mahindra is highlighting only those things that is 90% accurate to their claim. Nexon ev looks and interior are much better than that of xuv 400. And if you are talking about safety, Nexon also got 5 star rating in gncap. Nexon ev's cabin is also spacious for rear seat passengers but not that much like we get in xuv. Xuv 400 looks comparatively so much outdated and company even didn't give rear ac vents for passeengers! both have sufficient ground clearance to not touch in any speed breaker. nexon ev max has 205mm ground clearance. and xuv400's ground clerance is not revealed yet but it could be 180mm same as xuv300.

Regeneration is common for all ev cars, I don't think xuv400 will miss that and if they miss then it will not be worth it.
they have regenration, they also have single paddle driving, but it doesnt have option to set different regeneration modes like nexon ev max.
