How many holes do you think are in my jeans?! Guess here for a chance to win a $200 Etsy and $200 to a charity of your choice! - forms.gle/vwaX...
(we've gotten a couple of comments saying the link isn't working for them, if you have your ad blocker on it wont open!! )
You guys know that I have been focusing so much on the interior of my home this past year…but I definitely have not given the exterior much love. My backyard was not awful, but really needed an upgrade, so why not go all out right?! It is my job to make spaces pretty after all!! This is the first part to this series because I made myself so much work to do that I couldn’t fit it all into this one video. In this episode, I walk through everything I am planning to do for the exterior, fix the shutters, work on the pergola and basically start the demolition process. Not gonna lie, this is going to be a LOT of work. Stay tuned for future episodes to watch this exterior makeover finally come together!!

What you have in the corner courtyard area looks to be a 20 year old lilac bush. They are stunning in the late spring when they bloom and smell AMAZING. Yours is about as big as they get and they can easily be trimmed back smaller to your preference. You do you for your space, just thought you would like to know. 💐

🌸 Whole-heartedly agree... on all of your points 🤗.
😉Personally, I am a reluctant gardener🪴. ✂️Much better at pruning and maintenance than actually growing anything😔. 🌄 Living in a drought prone area with lots of 🪨 rocky dry clay soil, I 🎉celebrate as well as try to preserve those tough 🌱plants🌿 that are determined to thrive with minimal care & water💦 here in greater Los Angeles.
As someone else mentioned, her adding 🌧️ a water catchment system would be a very 🌎 environmentally friendly option. It would solve some of her drainage issues too. Also allow her to use the overflow to💧water her whole garden🌲. With her creative skills 🛠️Kelsey could easily disguise a more boring and utilitarian rain barrel too.

I so enjoy your Making Home Series. I was wondering if TSG could find someone who needs a room decorated with an emphasis on making it work if they have physical disabilities. There’s actually a squirrel spray that you can spray on your lights that will prevent bulbs from being taken by squirrels. My friend would have lights up in her backyard but every time there would be missing bulbs until they found this squirrel spray. Also it’s a good way to prevent squirrels from getting into your bird feeders. You will have to reapply it every time it rains tho.

NEVER bake your dirt unless you are 1000% sure it contains ZERO FERTILIZER. You are inhaling toxic fumes by doing this. Once you bring soil home, pour it into a clean, dry airtight container and keep in a shed or on a shelf. Do not reuse soil for indoor plants. If you find that your soil has been or could be contaminated, do as she mentioned in the video and dedicate it to the garden beds.
