One thing I love about the videos on this channel is how Chris talks about the animals. His love and dedication for them is palpable ❤ This is all so educational for adults and kids alike 👍
I love seeing all your animals. Those Prairie Dogs are adorable and the Owl is stunning. I always get nervous when you are with your crocodiles, but I know you know what you are doing. You are awesome with them.
Thanks for pointing out Maverick the conure in the small parrot aviary. I kept thinking there was another type of bird in there but couldn't get a good look. He's a cute one! 💚
Love our beautiful girl Akila. She just looks regal to me for some reason. I can visualize her lying on the banks of a river in Africa waiting for the massive migration of zebra and wildebeest to begin. Nile crocodiles are amazing creatures. Hope y’all don’t have any damage from the cold. We’re expecting anywhere from 3-7 inches of snow in Knoxville plus very cold temperatures. Hugs to everyone. 💕❄️🐊
Nile crocs rule , literally! There was a reason the ancient Egyptians revered them (and their meeker West African 'sacred' crocs, which they kept in certain dedicated temples, and when deceased were mummified) ! Gorgeous, gorgeous creatures,I love them (if you hadn't guessed yet !),Akila's father being my croc idol !
@@DianaSheward Ah yes, Sultan is just a gorgeous, amazing crocodile. I love to watch Mike interact with him. I’d love to have a bond with such a powerful apex predator. I love Lyle too. My friends think I’m crazy, but I think crocodiles and alligators have such adorable faces and pretty eyes. I guess you can tell I love crocodilians as well. 😉 Have a blessed rest of your week. 🐊
Ahhhh. Got me an Asami fix. Love me some Chunk Skunk. Hope yall are staying warm down there. It is freezing up here in the panhandle. Great video as always.
@GatorChris_ of course you guys are an inspiration. I'll eventually inherit almost 30 acres and even though I'm a northerner we are in need of rescues too. Your sanctuary is such a an inspiration and a wonderful way to learn. Thank you so much.
I already wrote in the comments on another vlog, but here it goes - in German porcupine is called Stachelschwein, a combination of the words Stachel (thorn or sting) and Schwein (pig). So same as in French apparently 😊. Great vlog as always! Love Asami, the prairie dogs, emus and fennec foxes especially.
The emus....They are just built to be funny. When Summer and Echo run chaotically...I mean, HOW in the heck to they run that way and yet they stay upright??? 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Heyyyy akila, beautiful crocodile. Yall stay warm there in Florida. Sending positive vibes, thoughts and prayers to all in Florida. Great vlog as always. I can't wait until it warms up and we get to see all the beautiful crocs and alligators eat. Especially my baby boy Dino.
You are probably aware but the pineapple conure is really a green cheeked conure that has been bred to have a different color, hence the designer name pineapple conure. It’s just a bs excuse for breeding and selling small parrots. Thanks for giving this little one a home.❤
Chris, is there a way to make her the croc equivalent of a terrarium “hot rock”, for her to lie on and warm up sufficiently to digest her food? Just wondering. Perhaps a heated concrete slab more or less her size?
Chris, I have a question for you. If you don't feed the crocodilians because of the cold why do you feed the tortoises? Don't tortoises have similar issues with thermoregulation and digestion.
I am curious about this too. Do the tortoises need a high environmental temperature to digest their food? Or does plant matter follow different rules? Because plants can be eaten uncooked.
Do porcupine quills come out super easily and is that why they stay in skin when they’re stabbed? If so, does it hurt them when they come out or do only the ones that are naturally shedding come out? and can you technically just pull one out (not that you should but is it possible?)
Because i do not know i am going to ask a questionthst may be interpreted negatively but i dont mean it disrespectful in any way. I notced that you do not have a door on the three pigs and the goats shelter... I was wondering if there is a reason for it. I live in a big animal agriculture area. And not many have barns as far as pigs to get in but they do have roofs for sun shade. But goats do normally have access given to them to a barn or something like a barn. When i shared an half acre with horses, pigs and dogs the horse wete not offered shelter except for trees, tye pigs had a pen with a roof and two walls and the dogs had a dog door leasing into a laundry room. I live in the central valley in Calif. Our summers are long and hot amd our eknters long amd mild. We jave short falls and short springs. Knowing that i wonder if it because you dont have cold cold freezing winters but you do get hurricanes and tornadoes so just curious and a bit confused. Like I have said before I do not know much about large farm animals only a few species. Btw How is Dino's water looking?
I have a terrible memory. I personally (ignore me if it doesn’t resonate with you of course) would love to see vlogs dedicated to each animal, like their own vlog and how they came to you to now. 😮 like your not already busy I know. The idea came from Chunk Skunk 🦨 as I cannot remember if she was wild born or not. ❤ I also will get a Cameo later on if you still do them after I sell my house (I want out of Fl) because I have a question that is driving me nuts about the MBD in all captive gators. I just wonder if you ever thought about, is it possible, since they don’t get full prey items, that could be the cause? Do they eat the stomach of their prey items or are they lost in the death roll? I know nothing about these amazing critters but I want so badly for you to solve this for the future of our Dino friends.

I really like the way Akila slowly made her way to her cozy pond. I love the way the sanctuary is coming out.

The pigs are just wonderful, the goats too, they all are.

Pebbles seemed to enjoy the taste of kale with that serving of fingers.
😂
I love when he educates us
Akila is a thick girl! Happy girl!
I love the way you explain things so thoroughly.
I appreciate that!
Chris: Pebbles, choose peace.
Pebbles: I choose violence!

Glad you spotted him!
Shippo is my favorite fox. He’s so adorably sleepy looking ❤🙂
I love how Kira sits so patiently and polite, meanwhile Hazel is almost on the ceiling 😂

She is rather majestic, they all are. 😁

The little red and green finches look like Christmas finches. I’d love to paint them ♥️ 💚
Congratulations on your guys engagement. Day is made y'all posted. ❤

Interesting!
Algicinificated.
Also, I really envy Jellybean's heat lamp today. 🥶

My kitty cats like to watch these with me 😊
I saw that Ocala is supposed to be in the upper 20s tonight. Sending warm thoughts.

Thank you so much !

lol yep, then when I call him a green cheek people would correct me and say he’s a pineapple 😂
Pebbles is a demon 😂
😂
We haven't seen Tadpole in a minute. How about an update? Pretty please!

Perhaps a heated concrete slab more or less her size?
I remember something about straw bales in ponds help keep the water clear, but that might be continuously circulating water.
What happens if its cold and they eat? Congratulations on your awesome proposal to Gabby!
The cold slows down their ability to digest the food and metabolism in general, and then it can rot inside their stomachs.
Commenting for the Al Gore Rhythm.
Akila in slow motion!
Yeah. It was windy and chilly today in the Sunshine state. Had reptile keepers scrambling.
Tapenga the Fortune Tella!
I see all.
I hear all.
I smell all.
.
Go wash, now!
Would love to see the snakes and the armadillo more often! I sure miss seeing Zaheer; I know you still hurt over that.
I know, I miss him too.
Because the tortoises have heated hides that are warm enough for them to digest in
Another great Vlog, Chris! Can Kalusa's glaucoma be cured?
I thought jet is fast. Man Sierra is super fast.
She is!

How fast Aquilla can swim underwater with that strong tail?
Very fast
Let her roam your house for the winter
@GatorChris have you ever thought about trying CBD supplements for the foxes anxiety? I’ve seen CBD dog treats, I’d imagine they’d be ok for the foxes
We were thinking about it!

You should put his food away from the door
