New phantoms doesn't feel that way at all...
Also one of the best parts of Fnaf 3 is that you don't get to see Springtrap's face until way into the second night creating a sense of mystery and tension as to what springtrap even is, the Main menu only shows a silhouette and the Cameras do that too(except for the vent cams but they're pretty blurry too and he's usually too far away to see him clearly, the only way to see him clearly is when he's standing right in front of you in the hall or when he jumpscares you

Probably because Puppet was borderline unfair. You had literally less than 2 seconds to react to him and if you didnt, Springtrap was almost guaranteed to get you with him hogging the screen for almost 20 seconds, in a game with some of the most aggressive AI in the series.
It def needs better audio design but the visuals are great. I think the puppet should have stayed the same in terms of mechanics, it was a lot more creepy having it stare at you for a prolonged duration and it raises your anxiety knowing that Springtrap is making his way towards you while you're stuck with the puppet.
Erh. It doesn't do it for me. Scott has a very particular style that isn't appreciated enough but when you put it side by side with this, it really shows. It's more subtle, simpler while still being very detailed. This feels like it's just "too much", I don't know how to describe it. Also... if you're going to make an intro sequence where it's just you walking, please use more and better footstep sounds.
I suppose the saying less is more applies here, while the new design looks visually clean, the old game had a more broken and forgotten vibe which fits the theme I think the game wants to be
the old game gives the location an abandoned and burned building vibe, the remake removes that vibe by making tablets and cameras clean. also the death screen in the original feels much more terrifying because of its simplicity, remake one feels like they just want to put springtrap wherever they can, and it doesnt fit really well with the abandoned and burned building vibe. I think the people (or the person) making these + fnaf games are sort of missing the point. The thing that always made fnaf 1-6 so good is how all the details where made with eitjer gameplay or lore intention. For example fnaf 3 is made to feel really personal, becuase its between father and son. The jumspare isnt him launching himaelf at you becauas this isnt a monster this a serial killer hunting his prey. Fnaf 1 animatronics where never meant to look scaey they look uncanny just like tje atmosphere of thr whole game. In these new + games the intention is to make everythijg way more scary through traditional horror means. It doesnt capture scotts intent at all.
@@darkenergy9760That’s his style bro, totally make sense. He’s a adult serial killer who want to feel every bit of your fear and deseperate, he’s slowly emerge from the screen: “Ah…I got you…” instead of jumping on you and try to kill you immediately like he has something personal to do or still like a child.
I said my biggest complaint with the unofficial remaster is that there's too much music, too many sounds. To build tension with the player you don't have music and everysound possible at all times! all you need are a few sounds to build a damp quiet abmusphere that's broken by key sounds like your cameras, control panel, and of course jumpscares. The constent music and various different sounds doesn't build that much tension for me, especially when the music kept played during the newspaper part of the intro, feels less like a horror game and more like a ghost hunting game, another thing I don't like as much is that the jumpscares are just off, too fast, too short, not theatning at all, make them a bit longer and add more of a build up to it, as well as a sense of unknown like perhaps the puppet suddenly drops down and then is dangling from the ceiling at first as a warning, then something trigger the jumpscare part, weather that be looking at it for too long or closing your camera to see it's gone and shortly after it stares at use preventing sight like the first game. A few things I like better in the unofficial remaster is the sounds of the camera system and the new designs for the animatronics, the camera constant hum is a great way to build tension
honestly most of the old phantoms were better but some werent better. the only reason i said some of the old is better because the sound and jumpscares. springtrap new was 100x better than springtrap.
This comments section is a great example of how nostalgia affects people's perception of quality. And I say this as a fan of the franchise since the beginning.
Original main menu screen: you instantly get the feeling of an actual monster, gazing at you through this dark void, with the blurry and decaying camera footage. The erratic spasms on full display, as if to tell you immediately this _thing_ is going to be a very active threat. New main menu screen: literally just him staring at you... its not creepy or anything, its just awkward and annoying. And he sneezes like a dog wtf
Really needs some audio tempering to make it interesting, as it is one of fnafs main points From the ambience to the jumpscares, the lack of a proper audio just makes it feel so weak for a horror game The cameras need some filters to hinder information gathering and some animations can be changed instead of others (don't change the puppet, for example, change the freddy walk at the corridor)
i really like how old fnaf 3 has it so that theyre actually standing in the background, and can even see them coming before the jumpscare, like how foxy stands before jumping at you, instead of just flashing out of nowhere

the most frustrating thing in new fnaf 3, is that spring trap jumpscare is not like what the story tells, like its not normal jumpscare, its looks like he is really jumpscaring the player idk if you understood me or not lol
the jumpscares of the old fnaf are better, cause it makes you feel the panic and the heart beating faster because of the visual things like the red light. And the noise of the animatronics are scarier
lore tip: the reason why springtrap doesnt kill you is beacuse he realizes u as his son micheal and he tries to talk or not go to him but his suit forces him and if he talks he gets the same pain from 30 years ago
The plus is much more advanced and cleaner but the best version would be the original with upgrades with graphics look so it looks better while still having a nostalgic atmosphere and better jumpscares
phantom bonnie? interesting. Also I like the revamp of Springy boi's jumpscare: much better. as for the puppet, its general idea should have stayed the same. The intro could use some better walking sounds, and better through-the-night ambience. Other than that, I would like to point out that everyone in the comments is hating on something that actually looks really good, y'all need to chill. Keep it up bro, it looks really good.
There is a very good theory about fnaf3 original springtrap that he is not trying to scare us but instead trying to look closer to the night guard cause he recognized his son and wanted to be sure that it's him
the main menu of the new one doesn't have the dark mysterious-ness of the original and the Springtrap glitching looks more like a Gmod shitpost than actually being unnerving
The old jumpscares had way more impact. They were louder, more well-animated. The old FNAF 3 could bring an uneasy vibe because of how grim everything look, as the new one just seems to try to improve the graphics, not actually work on how scary the game should be.
In fact, The new jump scare sounds It sounded like they're saying something, But in the extras, I only hear the original jump scare sound. Maybe due to the VIDEO or the game is trying to hide the actual new jumpscare sounds
While I do prefer the jump scares in the new version, there is just a simplicity in the original that makes it so good! The new one just doesn’t give that same nice energy
Its awesome! The only thing i could complain about are the jumpscares. Springtrap is really scary but i wish it could be him grabbing the player and knocking him out.

I‘m honest, the most jumpscares are scarier in the original version
honestly most of the old phantoms were better but some werent better. the only reason i said some of the old is better because the sound and jumpscares. springtrap new was 100x better than springtrap.
old springtrap literallt rizzes you up
Fnaf plus springtrap's eyes when he jumpscares you is a lil sus..
The new springtrap jumpscare looks goofy imo.
One thing I I'll say is that jumpscares are quick, but that is just enough to make it scary and catch you off guard.

On my first playthrough of this, Springtrap stared at me the entire night and I got 6AM for some reason lol

Really needs some audio tempering to make it interesting, as it is one of fnafs main points
From the ambience to the jumpscares, the lack of a proper audio just makes it feel so weak for a horror game
The cameras need some filters to hinder information gathering and some animations can be changed instead of others (don't change the puppet, for example, change the freddy walk at the corridor)
i really like how old fnaf 3 has it so that theyre actually standing in the background, and can even see them coming before the jumpscare, like how foxy stands before jumping at you, instead of just flashing out of nowhere

the jumpscares of the old fnaf are better, cause it makes you feel the panic and the heart beating faster because of the visual things like the red light. And the noise of the animatronics are scarier

lore tip: the reason why springtrap doesnt kill you is beacuse he realizes u as his son micheal and he tries to talk or not go to him but his suit forces him and if he talks he gets the same pain from 30 years ago
Fnaf plus more like fnaf minus with how many times its been dropped and the jumpscares being somehow worse than the original
The new one doesn't even have that feeing of panic and chaos everytime you hear the alarms and everytime a phantom animatronics jumpscares you
The plus is much more advanced and cleaner but the best version would be the original with upgrades with graphics look so it looks better while still having a nostalgic atmosphere and better jumpscares
phantom bonnie? interesting.
There is a very good theory about fnaf3 original springtrap that he is not trying to scare us but instead trying to look closer to the night guard cause he recognized his son and wanted to be sure that it's him
then why do you die when he does so

the main menu of the new one doesn't have the dark mysterious-ness of the original and the Springtrap glitching looks more like a Gmod shitpost than actually being unnerving
The old jumpscares had way more impact. They were louder, more well-animated. The old FNAF 3 could bring an uneasy vibe because of how grim everything look, as the new one just seems to try to improve the graphics, not actually work on how scary the game should be.
I'm pretty sure that's what some Fear fangames are like in modern days. In my opinion, I do really like the old version
*fnaf
In fact, The new jump scare sounds It sounded like they're saying something, But in the extras, I only hear the original jump scare sound. Maybe due to the VIDEO or the game is trying to hide the actual new jumpscare sounds
While I do prefer the jump scares in the new version, there is just a simplicity in the original that makes it so good! The new one just doesn’t give that same nice energy
What the heck they did to the sound effects?
Game was just a test i think and it has its issues yeah
Sometimes, sharper resolution isn't the answer. VHS Horror is a perfect example.
I think this comparison is kinda missing some things… (Phantom Bonnie??)
The game is unfinished and there is no phantom bonnie in the gameplay he is just in the extras
