Mine also had a steering wheel cover on it when purchased in 2021. Simply removing it improved the steering feel a great deal. $5k in PA with 125k miles was a steal in this area…but it needed almost nothing

I have the same truck it's beautiful! 22 years old. I got it 2 years ago with 70,000 miles on it. Now it's got 110.000 not a scratch on it!

I have a 1999 Escalade, Love it. Has 191K on it. White with dark tinted windows lol best travel SUV I've had. Rear-end likes to whine but it has been like that for 2 years now. Just had a new steering box put in from blue top made a world of a difference, made it stiff but not to to bad. rest of the parts Rock Auto has been my best friend lol.

Keep in mind those are defrost mirrors so the glass is not exactly the same as the 88-98 SUVs and trucks

I have one of these 150k on it. Love it 👍. Only one thing wrong with it is when in the summer it doesn't want to shift into drive but in the winter it does with no problem so confusing 🤔

@@uptownautogarage6833 ya I did at around 87k and replace the little gadget that's on the steering column that locks you out from putting it in gear unless the ignition is engaged which was no fun to install 🤦‍♂️🤣 so I just put it in natural before starting it 👍

I believe it would be worth the effort to mask and buff the doors where the trim is. Buff with rust removal pad on grinder or drill and airbrush finish. Still not expensive but this is the way to get rid of old rust.

Have plans to clean it up. I know to do it right would have to replace the doors but not trying to go that far with something this old. Just bring it back to a nice daily driver. Picking up a parts truck and hopefully going to be able to finish this build up and enjoy it. Thanks for watching!
