Beautifull dimming of the day at the first part of this video. I absolutely love the drone footage in this video!! One question for you: what do you thing about BMW's choice for the connected ride app and the fact that your phone constantly needs to be connected to use navigation? (Personally I think it's a crap solution)

I totally agree with you in regards to the navigation being dependent on the phone to work. I think a bike like the K1600 should have a proper navigation system as a stand alone unit. And being connected the whole time is one thing, but the app itself also have to be active the whole time. If you lock the screen or open another app then the navigation is no longer working. That is, to use your own words; a crap solution! I hope they can fix this in a future update so at least the app can run in the background. Having said all that, I am quite pleased with how the navigation system is working. It threw me off course once or twice but I believe that was due to slow cellular service in some rural hills in Italy far from people… So I took the wrong turn due to the navigation being slow.
Thank you very much, my friend!
Hope you have a great weekend! 👍🏻😎

@@MotorcycleCameraDrone Thank you for your detailed answer. It is clear that we have the same opinion about the connected ride app and navigation. Today I did a 200 kilometer ride on my R1200RT LC. It is currently very warm in the Netherlands, 32 degrees! I hope you have a wonderful weekend too!
