It took me literal months to find all these titles, so I really do hope that you'll find one that piques your interest :) Either way as always, I'm wishing you a wonderful day :) xx Also, CC will be added soon, as per usual ;)
I'm so glad you're back and well.❤️ I loved that you talked about Quiroga. When I was a little girl, my dad used to read me "Tales of the Jungle" sometimes. Now I realized that his stories have some "Poe essence". Thank you for all the recomendations. I loved your video as always!
I read Japanese Tales of Mystery and Imagination in October and omg I loved it! It was sooo creepy! I chose to read it after hearing you recommend it. Thank you! It's now one of my favorites!
Welcome back! :) I think I will try The Attendants Confession. I read Dom Casmurro by the same author. I liked it, but didn't love it. However, the writing was SO beautiful, I am more than happy to read more from him. Talking of Edgar Allan Poe. Does anybody also love his poems? I absolutely LOVE Annabel Lee.
Ahhh you have no idea how excited and happy I was to see your face in my subs box :) So glad to have you back, but equally please don't overwork yourself - you and your own mental health will always be the priority so if you need to take some more time out, don't feel bad about it!
Missed you !!! I always take your recommendations and just put them straight into my wish list. Glade you are back you are a gem in all oh booktube 🥰🥰🥰
Yaaay! So glad you’re feeling better and it’s so nice to see your face again! Also, I’d really like to say, as a Brazilian, that I cannot put into words how much it means to me that you have read so much classic Brazilian literature. It’s so nice that you take the time to invest in diverse literature, and that you actually enjoy it. It’s so nice to have an international booktuber talking about our classics in English so that other people have access to them, because they really are amazing, but so little of it is actually translated. Machado de Assis is one of the few translated Brazilian authors, which is kind of sad, given that we have so many really brilliant authors (but he is definitely my favorite, so I’m really glad he’s the one who is all over the world... if I had to pick one, it would totally be him).
Thank you so much for your very kind words Raquel! I'm very happy to spread information on literature from all over the world including Brazilian :D I think books give so much opportunity for us to learn about other people and their experiences, as well as enjoying the beauty of their words and showing this to others is absolutely one of my favourite things to do :D
I am super happy you are back, and even happier that you are recovering and taking your time away from pressure to make videos, hopefully ❤️ Also, this video gave me life because I love Edgar Allan Poe and short gothic macabre stories ❤️
That's so very kind of you to say and thank you so much for sticking around! I'm so happy to be back into a position where I can do the things I love again :D
SOO HAPPY TO SEE A NEW VIDEO FROM YOU!! 🤍 i'm glad you're feeling better and i hope to see you more around here, even though it's understandable why you took a break. i just love your content and you're always bringing me a lot of cool recommendations. much love from a brazilian viewer that loves to see you talk about brazilian literature!
Really missed you! Glad you’re back and ok! I have to say, I’m not really a horror fiction fan but since starting following you I discovered so many good authors. I’ll definitely check these ones out. I already knew Ranpo and Borges but not the others. Cheers!
Welcome back! These are such interesting recommendations, I want to read more Poe in 2021 so I'd love to check out these books! I love owls so I guess it's not difficult to decide which one I really want to look into :D Hope you continue to feel okay 💖
Yay! She's back! So many good recomendations as always, and I really really like that you present us a little bit of the story of the author. Hope you are feeling well :)
you are my fav booktuber, I'm always so happy when i see a new video ehehe!!! but also if you're ever feeling bad/unwell please take all the time you need to feel better 💗💗💗 Now I'm going to read The Attendant's Confession right away!

You're back!!! I happy to see you back making videos again. I hope you are doing better. I am just finishing the Aleph. Thanks for all the recommendations!
Thank you TJ! Very glad to be back :D I finished The Aleph several months ago -- it was hard to get through in terms of language and lack of knowledge of the references, but really good nevertheless :)
These are some wonderful recommendations -- so excited to add these to my TBR list! Also, I hope you are well, and to echo what others have said: please never feel badly for taking a much needed + deserved break.

Oooh I'm excited for these recommendations! I loved the books you recommended for Fortnight Frights, and I've been getting into Junji Ito as well - I bought Tomie as a Christmas gift to myself. Welcome back, Seji!
Thanks Seji I wrote a lot of these down to look into later. I haven't read any Poe since high school so His Hideous Heart will probably be the first book I check out.
Can we just take a moment to appreciate how much care you take to correctly pronounce the authors’ names. I stan! 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽
Aaah thank you Aisha!! xx :D
