You need to be extremely careful with this method of pressing the bearings in and out using a hydraulic press. The caliper mounting holes can get bent (2:08) and cause the caliper to be out of center with the rotor. You'll only notice this after putting everything back together, If bent enough while pressing in the bearing, the caliper bracket may hit the rotor. Or it could be difficult to fit new pads and rotors if they are bent while pressing out the old bearing.
My C70 had those bent (bearings were replaced before I bought the car) and I discovered it when I saw the uneven wear pattern of the brake pads. Then, I noticed the caliper brackets were grinded down to clear the rotors.

I watched your video again. I made note that the ABS sensor must be removed from the knuckle before pressing the old hub out and the new one back into the knuckle.

The bearing should be pressed from the outer bearing ring to avoid bearing damage

There is a special tool for this which is definitely recommended to do just this!

@@GRat9717 I bought the special tool. It works although I did have to knock out all 5 studs for it to fit snuggly around the outer bearing race.

pressing in this way puts pressure on the inner bearing which could cause damage.

I went with AutoShack to try it out. I've had good experience with their other parts.

Hello. How hard did you pull the bult in the center after? Not in the video. Can not seem to find the correct number for C30 anywhere.

What brand wheel bearing did you use?

I went with AutoShack, it was cheap enough that I didn't mind replacing it twice if it was no good. So far, no issues.

And then replace the lower ball joint that you destroyed the dust boot on during removal.

Wrong way to remove track rod end

I will say the one thing I’ve repeatedly hated about your videos is how unrealistic you are about getting parts off. Yes the lower ball joint is one nut but it’s a lot more difficult than a few “taps” like yours because 99% of ppl doing this job have not already touched that part every 2 weeks like you seem to with how clean everything is. I have been stuck trying to remove the ball joint for 7 hours because the stud faces the opposite way most assemblies do. And the only spot people would need genuine help is how to get it off not the common sense fact that you need to remove the bolt.
