This song really shows how The Royal Concept admiring The Srokes. Not only because they mention The Strokes in their lyrics, but also the intro, the bass played just like the intro of Reptilia by The Strokes. I don't wanna call it as plagiarism, but the beauty of inspiring and inspired by each other! Love it!!

i read the comments and i can't help but wonder does phoenix have the royalty for this kind of music? don't get me wrong i love phoenix 1st time i heard them they blew my mind, and hearing this song for the first time i also thought it was a phoenix song but apparently it is not, now for those whose outcry is that they should be ashamed for sounding like phoenix my thought is, is it really that bad? i am just here listening and happy that another phoenix like sounding song is out there cause if you are a phoenix fan you know that there are not that many bands that has the sound that phoenix makes (as far as i know) and i love that kind of sound and i am happy that there is another band that has that kind of sound now there are 2 bands that i know so far that makes this kind of sound and i am loving it....

Good God this sounds like Phoenix. O_O I was listening to Pandora Radio and this came on and I thought for sure this was them. While the sound may seem familiar, it's still a really good song and sounding like Phoenix is far from a bad thing.
DannyOf Philly No, Phoenix > The Royal Concept; Phoenix was there before them, and The Royal Concept was for sure influenced by them (listen to Liztomania or Lasso from Phoenix and you will see the similarities). But The Royal Concept is also great.

I am so impressed with the Royal Concept. I've been playing them sometimes exclusively since discovery. I really think their Goldrushed album is has a nice high quality consistency throughout. I don't feel like you have to skip any songs, they all hold a lot of meaning to me. Honestly I'd really like to pick these guys brains sometime! Seriously guys, I play it to sleep some nights. It just provides a me a lot of healing, because the situations you're singing about are so close to my own. Keep it up! The vocals and guitar licks are already so incredible combined with good bass and drums. I'll be keeping up with them!

Nah it was more of a joke. I just read comment after comment of people saying they sounded like someone else so I tried to be really funny. But yeah, they do really sound like them in this song. My favorite song by them, "World On Fire", definitely has their own unique sound though.
