Hey I have a 09 Sonata V6 as well, just hit 163k and it's still running like new. It's such a underrated car that's slept on, I'm glad though bc then the kid's nowadays aren't beating them up.
I do have one too over 200 000 same color same engine

Charming is a bit of an understatement. For me at least. Had one as my first car. It was a GLS with the 2.4. Not fast off the line, but I got it up to 140 racing a 2011 V6 Camaro one night on my way home from work. I was a bit smug when I sailed passed him after he hit his limiter somewhere around 130. Lot of good memories I made in that car. Lost my virginity in the back seat too. Good old days!

I was SERIOUSLY surprised by how fast it'd go, too.
I brushed right up against 140 mph as well....unbelievable in a base- spec'd model.
...Can't help but wonder how fast the 3.3 V6 would be....🤔

I have that car I've owned it since 2009, it now has 163k I've never had any major issues with it. It's not fast, but it's not slow. It keeps up with the traffic. I like it, I'm never gonna stop driving it.
I drive a 2008 Hyundai Sonata with a 3.3L V6. It’s a fun and zippy little car. Also very reliable. Definitely recommend it for anyone looking for a first car.

Nothing to complain here. Classic three box midsize sedan.No blingbling, nothing to impress the neighbours, just reliable comfy transportation.
I still have my 2010 Sonata Limited V6 with the navigation system, quite the package for the time. Still drives beautifully at 200,000km on the odometer.

I've got an '09 (base model- I know- oh well 😒) with 265K miles.
It's STILL the most reliable vehicle I have ever owned.

2006 to 2009 Hyundai v6 are great engine
We have a 09 limited. The navigation system has a error window. Trying to figure out how to fix it

Great review. I own a 2009 Sonata Limited V6. Fantastic car. 150k miles. Mine is a unique and beautiful light blue with chrome accents. Super clean still and it will get up and go with anything.

This classic car makes the 2021 Hyundai look BIZARRE. Beautiful car, and probably collectible if always garaged and kept in this condition.
I just bought a 2008 SE V6. Not a limited though but I don’t even like leather seats anyway and I don’t care about heated seats or the fake wood. I love driving it.
I got a 2009 Hyundai Sonata limited 3 years ago and it only had 32,000 miles and in perfect condition, no rust, nothing, it sat in an elderly woman’s garage for years, long enough to make the metal beads deform, I’m only 20 and I plan on keeping that car as long as possible. She’s a beautiful sky blue color.
Surprisingly it's quicker than the 2021 Hyundai Sonata as well.
I beat one the other day, dude wasn't too happy.
150k and still going strong!

I have the exact same car with 125, mi. I bought it new and it’s been the best car I’ve ever owned, my wife drives it to work everyday. I have a wrangler. I would buy the Hyundai again if I could get the same car new.

Shit just put michelins on it. It will surprise you.
Even Hyundai's diesel engines are whisper quiet!

@@nothing9271 it depends on country's specs ! in some countries they electronically limit the speed and others don't, you can see vids on UA-cam of the v6 sonatas going 250kmh

Iv got same car. But touch screen has a error window. Wondering if anyone knows how to get past this ? I believe it was fine a few years ago and then all the sudden it has this error window

You have a 2006-08 model which was the complete overhaul design from the previous generation to the generation you see in this video. The 09-10 were a facelift design which is what is being reviewed here. Bump in HP a few cosmetic touches and a few tech additions. So you have the model before the facelift. Same 3.3 LT V6, just a few tuning changes to bring the extra HP. Your 2008 Should still be very peppy though. Just a more dated interior and less HP but it doesn't make much difference. I personally prefer the 2006-08 models. They were still cusping upper brand but had a subtle enough design. The model displayed here I feel is trying too hard to be a luxury vehicle when it's definitely not so. Still a great mid size tho and honestly holds up pretty well to today's standards.

the year before 2011 the sonatas where like a 10 in relibility,had a 2009 over 200,000 miles lot of the original parts,than hyundai went to the GDI engine nothing but problems!!!

You can opt for a manual too.

Well today, Hyundai & Kia are giving the Japanese a run for their money while Genesis, even in its infancy, looks to ko to most European luxury brands in their cash-cow models. Have y'all seen the new GV80 & G80? You know a brand is doing well when the resale value of their 10+ year old models suddenly jumps by 40%.
Honda will out last these 2 year throw away cars, there’s few years where they where good but not reliable at all

but the rust is real. worst seats I've ever sat in. weird smelling plastic. door handles break EASILY. try replacing 3rd tail light. I think I've proved my point.
