For ordinal numbers (1st, 2nd, 3rd... up through 9th), you take the number handshape and gently twist it inward. For numbers 10 and above, sign the number and then add "-TH". Want a video on this? Comment to let me know you're interested!

This was really helpful for me and for anyone else. To make a long story short, I'm re- learning ASL that I first learned when I was younger. I'm only learning ASL from reading a book of words or phrases that are in ASL and recreating scenes from a few movies and TV shows, and learning songs from off the Radio and going to Church, just to name a few and also I'm teaching some of the employees where I work so they can help any other employees or customers that are either deaf or hard of hearing. I'm not an expert, but I'm still learning :).
Awesomeness, nice work!

I love the way you show from different angles, and explanations are great
Thank you for the positive feedback, Charles! So glad this format is helpful :)
@ASLMeredith
On a personal note.
Are you doing the voice over or are you deaf.
Not that it's any of my business.
Have a nice weekend
@@charleshendricks3627 I do the voiceovers. Thank you, have a lovely holiday.

Thanks, James! :) Hope you're well.
Thank you for this! I always get alone only lonely and always mixed up. I did learn a different “forever” signing alone then the Y but that was 20 years ago 😂 thanks again 😊

Love your videos - thanks!
Thaaank you!!
Glad you found this useful !
Good job on this video, Meredith. But here's one suggestion. If you know there are variations of a sign, then mention that before showing any signs. :)
Thanks for the good suggestion, Aaron!
love your videos!🙂
Thanks so much for your comment! Glad you like them!
Really like vids showing diff between similar signs, shapes.
Thx!
Glad this helps !!! :)
hi thank you for share and explain the words
One thing that would be helpful to me is if the speaker was saying the exact words to your signs. I am relearning as well and I know that the sentence syntax is different than English and it is hard to pick up that while trying to remember signs ment which words when only the English translated sentence is spoken. I love your videos! They keep me challenged and wanting to learn more.
Thanks. This helps alot… more vids please.
Thank YOU! Glad you enjoyed this. I'll keep some coming this fall!
Thanks for all the helpful videos. Love your channel. Just thought I'd ask again...looking for a video full of all kinds of prepositions...I find it hard to learn the signs for them all and to teach them to my daughter. Signs such as....In, out, over, under, on, off, around, about, almost, etc, and then words like many, much? (or not...prepositions are just fine). : ) I wrote you 10 months ago in the comments section of your 'brake vs break' video (mine is at the very top at the moment) re: my daughter and our desire to help her (and us) to become even more proficient in ASL. I am sure you get all kinds of requests...so I understand if creating a video like this is far down your to do list. : ) Again thanks for your help. : )
Thanks so sharing 🙏
I enjoyed this very much
do teach this one on one with classes? Online seminars? Just curious. I love your content and am trying to learn as much
as i can.
Hi! I do offer a self-paced online course :) you can learn about it here: courses.aslmeredith.com
Thank you
Your videos are amazing. I'm learning so much. There's something I'm stuck on, and that's the word 'like'. I understand when it's a preference, but I'm wondering if using it as a comparison of different. For example, that dog is nothing like the others. How would 'like' be used in that sentence??
Hello Meredith
I was waiting for your videos
Hope you enjoyed it!
BRAVO!!!
Glad you found this useful!
