- As the year comes to a close, Storm has unveiled one of its best releases to date: the Road Warrior. The next iteration from a long and storied line, the Road Warrior is outfitted with all sorts of modern day upgrades inside and out to provide you with an incredible option to ball down to. Ben returns to put it to the test, pitting it against the Hy-Road Pearl and Lightning Blackout.

Nice video Have the Lightning, hy road, hy road pearl and The Road like them all. Can't wait to get this.🤙
Can you do a video of the Origin? I'm really excited about that ball. I need a big skid flip asym. And I think that's it
Terrific video. Thanks for the info.
Much appreciated!
I normally never comment, but excellent ball review. Curious to know your pin to pap length.
Much appreciated! The pin to PAP for this ball was 4.75"
What’s the difference between the hyroad pearl and the lightning blackout
The Lightning flares way less than the HyRoad, and as such it is much smoother down lane, I find
Ok thank you so much I wanted to replace my Hyroad pearl but I don’t know if I want The Road Warrior or Lighting blackout?
Hy road pearl has a weaker cover, and a weaker, albeit more dynamic core. the Hy road will be cleaner and a tad sharper then the LBO, which is stronger in the midlane and smoother overall.
Im yelling at my tv "put the mic on your hat dammit!"
lol, I know, right? I don't know what I was thinking
How would you compare the summit ascent and the road warrior
Summit Ascent will be a fair bit stronger. its got a much lower RG = Early hook, Higher Diff = more flare, and a slightly stronger and smoother cover.
How would you choose between the hy road and the road warrior?
I’m looking for some thing that works well on double burn or after open play. I assume hybrid is better than pearl then
pearls work better than anything on burn. Gives you carry
@@bradyritter2193 I have found that on double burn or after a ton of open play, there's nearly no oil at all unless you're VERY far left. In that situation , I find most pearls read too early because of the friction. Even my IQ Tour Ruby does, but I dont have a high RG ball at all. So I'm not sure which road ball would work better.
@@gc3- exactly right mate. Pearl balls react strongly to the friction. So when there is very little oil on the lane, those balls react really fast upfront and sometimes don’t make a very good choice when the lanes are really torched.
Really well done video. Good job, mate.

The hyroad pearl still looks better. Period
Haha. It's impossible for me to say the Road Warrior is better than the Hy-Road Pearl. the HRP has jus been so perfect for so long, and one of my all-time favorites. But the Road Warrior is a worthy replacement now that Storm no longer makes them
NEW GLASSES ALERT

Road Warrior is a re-release of the overseas Hy Road Punch. I've been bowling with that for a few seasons. Nice ball, good replacement for the Hy Road Pearl. The surface is SLIGHTLY - and I do mean slightly - cleaner through the heads than the original R2S Pearl formulation. On shorter oil it can be "jumpy" since it's going to store energy through the 1st 37 feet and then take off at 40-45 feet. This is why some players are going to prefer things like the Lightning Blackout. The LIBO's ReX Cover is MUCH, MUCH stronger than R2S DEEP Pearl. But by burning off a little energy earlier the downlane change is not as drastic.
line of balls make no sense. the Hyroad was the hybrid T road. so them making a Hyroad pearl makes 0 sense lol. it's just a T road pearl. but this warrior looks good
Yeah, the name was funny when the HyRoad Pearl came out, but the name resonated so well with everyone that it stuck. 🙂
Looks better than The Road. That ball was awful
Really ? What didn't you like about the road ?
The original Road definitely didn't match up well with me. So it was a total surprise how much I love the Road Warrior
