Hammer Scorpion Strike versus Scorpion Low Flare // Ball Review
Yea that’s a good ball but I don’t need it cause I have the One Reverb, Widow Ghost, Effect Pearl and so many other great pearls.
Bought my widow today
Very quickly became a favorite of mine!!!!!!!
Great video and comparison. Was waiting for someone to do this. Just had mine punched up and I already love it. I agree that the Effect is a a bit earlier and a tad less downlane, so I start with the Effect and move to the Mania later on. Great compliment to eachother.
Glad you enjoy it! The Mania is an amazing ball. Hope you bowl well with it.
Im a 2h bowler i ended up buying the mania would the mania pair well with the subzero forge for heavier oil lanes and use the mania on medium oil or can the mania just be used on all of it as my main ball before i buy a second ball
Depending on your style the mania could be used as a main ball. I used this in a house that puts out a slightly less oil pattern than tested in the video and it responded very well. Again, I would check with your local pro shop and confirm but without knowing how you bowl I can’t officially say.
@@hammersomd thank you
Wonderful comparison video! Just picked up my Mania today and Ive got the Effect and really like it but, the Mania will help me by not reading the mids as soon as the Effect does :)
Awesome!!! Enjoy
Longer and stronger is contradicting. Weak balls go long, early balls are the strong ones. If it has "pop" off the breakpoint, that means the ball is in fact weaker...not stronger.
If that’s how you Interpret stronger - sure. My explanation was in regards to being stronger Downlane. Thanks
So would you say a Tropical Storm is stronger than a Physx if you took it to 500 grit and it dumped all its energy in the first 15 feet? Because that wouldn't be the case, but would fit exactly what you said.
@@SireScroticus I’m saying it’s stronger reaction downlane because it’s storing more energy. The ball may be weaker or stronger but the reaction downlane is all I’m referring to.
Oh, my bad! I was replying to the initial commenter because his determination of "strong" is... broken.
@ lol. No worries. Appreciate you. Thanks for watching. Hope you enjoy our videos.
So what is the difference between mania and 2.0 hybrid?
@@miketoops4176 covers are different. 2.0 was a hybrid the Mania is a pearl. The 2.0 also is just HK22 and Mania has HK22C which is faster absorbing.
I would be interested in some thoughts around Vaporize vs the Widow Mania. I find the Vaporize to be very good at moving left and opening the lane up when the Envy Tour starts to become too much. The Vaporize seems to get down the lane and gives just a touch of smoothness and predictability along with the strong continuation on the backend.
I would say the Vaporize is a pinch earlier than the Mania. The. Approve could handle oil a little better based on reaction shape.
Yup, definitely gonna have to get one.
Told you!!
Whaaat? I did not expect the widow to be longer. I was actually gonna buy one tomorrow but nevermind. I dont think it'll work for me
Wtf is that above your fingers?
Excellent question!
Im also curious...
On the effect? That is the phasing on the ball. Just the colors coming together
@@hammersomd No, there is a visual Circle or spot Just above the fingers. You can clearly see it when its laying on the ball return. It has nothing to do with the ball roll and ball colors.
@ on the effect?
Blue ball good
BLUE BALLS DON’T ROLL BAD????
Could I continue to move left with the Effect and just loft it?
You can always do that lol
This is the exact comparison I wanted.Thank you
Glad you enjoyed it
Road Warrior is a re-release of the overseas Hy Road Punch. I've been bowling with that for a few seasons. Nice ball, good replacement for the Hy Road Pearl. The surface is SLIGHTLY - and I do mean slightly - cleaner through the heads than the original R2S Pearl formulation. On shorter oil it can be "jumpy" since it's going to store energy through the 1st 37 feet and then take off at 40-45 feet. This is why some players are going to prefer things like the Lightning Blackout. The LIBO's ReX Cover is MUCH, MUCH stronger than R2S DEEP Pearl. But by burning off a little energy earlier the downlane change is not as drastic.
How do they compare to the effect tour?
"Thank you Jesus" 😂
Fresh out the box no practice I shot 630 series
Do you have to play that deep because of the topography?
I have an envy tour, extreme envy and an emerge hybrid. Would a pure envy be better or an effect tour? I bowl predominantly on a late night house shot so mysterious box. And lots of challenge/sport shots. Thank you.
Thank you , just purchased the anger and it is exactly as you describe. Great tip! I'm a stroker and I'm enjoying this ball . Thanks.👍
I had a Hammer Raw Anger like 12-13 years ago. It was blue and it was nice!
Effect Tour just looks beautiful. It's probably the closest ball to the IQ Tour that I've seen from Hammer. I was contemplating getting an IQ, but I may get an Effect Tour instead after watching this and Luke Rosdahl's videos. Thanks for the comparison!
I have the radioactive vibe and the tundra blue fire and a lo flare. Which one would fit?
The league I'm about to join let's you choose one of these 3 balls to take as part of the league. I normally use an IQ ruby and am a low speed 12-13mph, lower rev bowler. Which do you think would be the best for me out of the ion max, harsh reality, or x cell?
Great review with many vantage points. You guys rock!
Great 6 ball line up!
Hey you talked about making your balls with power edge. What do you sand your ball to before applying that 500-1000 grit?
Guys from WEST SEATTLE PRO SHOP, I salute you on your end of year rating of your favorite bowling balls of 2024. Very good explanation on characteristics of each ball and reasons for their place in your field.
14# balls?
Joe, great jog the video. I love my Envy Tour! It has a ton of games on it on leagues and tournaments. Keep it up b
Ben’s second ball on “his” left looks familiar
Everyone I know is using the effect tour and then the effect as the step down. Why are you doing opposite?
I asked myself the same question. I think he drilled 2 of them and the 1st one was stronger. Mine is 70x41/2x20 so it's very angular downlane
I have the tour as the smoother option and for our shots that we see typically on the lanes we need to be able to control the middle and back end and for me that’s what my effect offers
The Conspiracy HK22 is an insanely good ball! I can't believe more people don't have this. If it got the hype of the 3.0 I feel more people would be throwing this ball.
Agree 100%. Definitely a ball that has been slept on IMO
What’s your recommendation, Pure Envy or Ethos Hybrid?
I love the way the Ricochet shapes for your game!
hello, what is the layout?
All I want to know is which one drives through carry down better
The effect gets the nod
Didn't seem like the compound finish on the Real Time agreed with you. Seemed like it was going too long when it hit oil, but crossing the head pin when it hit the dry. A bit of surface might blend that out.
I agree with that assessment! I ended up knocking the polish off, and it made my favorite balls of 2024 list.
Can’t wait to get my Ricochet next week. Definitely is a good ball 🔥
Sick!
Is there an overlap with the Sublime Focus and the X Cell? Can they fit in the bag together?
For me, even the XCell likes to get down the lane a little further, which makes it a more versatile option
Ricochet would be the better core...
I just got this ball for Christmas, out of.all the reviews I've watched this one was the best! Keep up the good work!
Much appreciated! Let us know how you like your new Christmas present...
Boy does that thing hook, even as an upderpin. My PR was 200 on the dot, second game with it and I got 227!
I just ordered the violent but they sent me the wicked idk if idk if should sent it back or keep it
To my(Ben) eye, I'd just keep the Wicked. I liked the look of Joe throwing the Violent, a lot, but there might be a tad more versatility with what one could do surface-wise with the Wicked. Maybe Joe can chime in too, haha
@@wsbproshopI want the violent cuz it was a pearl and breaks later but idk what to to and I look nobody has the violent in a 15
Nice Kegel Placement! :)
Holy shit dude that hook is crazy I’m getting my 900 in two weeks I got the black widow 3.0 magic gem and hammer hazmat hybrid
Yeah, the ball is a total monster. I'm going to be trying it on older/high-friction lanes at another center this week to see if its polish is enough to keep it in play. West Seattle Bowl is a fair bit cleaner/newer than a lot of other places
@@wsbproshopima add a iq tour ruby with it
I just ordered the hammer anger. Can't wait to use it!!!
Sick--skid-snap time!
I love this ball so much, I have it pin down, that I ordered a 2nd ball now that it's discontinued. Doing a pin up layout, maybe something weaker.
To my(Ben) eye, pin-up could be pretty decent. I enjoyed that core pin-up when I wasn't on staff with Storm... seemed roll great
would you carry both
Hammer anger looks good! Would fit perfectly in the middle of my bag
Yes it would. It’s got some pop but very clean.
