    Don’t turn off your camera after you performed the cleaning mode. By keeping the camera turned on the IBIS is still locked in place which is much better when you add pressure on the sensor while cleaning.

    Curious to why you only did one pass? Usually you do 2 passes, 1 in one direction and 1 in the other

      There’s a chance you could scratch the sensor if you did another pass because of the residue from the first. I play it safe. If it’s still dirty, I’d use a fresh swab 😊

      There is no problem making multiple paths. I once had a tough spot, I had to do like 10 paths before it was gone. And, btw, you are not cleaning the sensor, you cleaning the cover glass. Just don't use bad wipes or liquid, Amazon has lots of that.

    How often should I clean my camera sensor?

    • @MisterHenry
      @MisterHenry  9 місяців тому +3

      Only clean if you can see marks on your sensor. You'll see small blotches in you footage if the senor is dirty.

    how does auto cleaning work?

    • @vitherman5705
      @vitherman5705 11 місяців тому +1

      It shakes off the dust by vibrating the sensor, your camera must be facing downwards so gravity can do its job. In my experience (I use sony alpha A7III) it only shakes off about 60% off the dust so i have to use a cleaning kit anyways.

    So wrong! #1 don't turn camera off when cleaning after using self clean mode so it stays in place and #2 you didn't swipe it to clean the wet residue with other side of swab

    • @MisterHenry
      @MisterHenry  Місяць тому +1

      Yeah, at the time I didn't realise that by keeping the camera turned on the IBIS is still locked in place which is much better when you add pressure on the sensor while cleaning. As for the "swipe", the small amount of residue evaporates quickly so I'm not too worried about that. Thanks for your comment
