Now that I’m older - I realize that Taylor was about to take advantage of Ryce, he had her away from the party and the other guests and he had her in a locked room. Beethoven rescued her from being sexually assaulted.

Yes i also realized that much later that's the genius of these family comedies, these situations are subtle to not offend children. I tought at first that she's just wasn't feeling comfortable being locked up and not ready to really give this guy a lot of kisses. Then as an adult i realized it was way more serious and about sexual assaulting like you said

I remember this scene. As a man, we always knew guys like this in our circles. They were manipulative and narcissistic but blessed with good looks. They used their natural assets to allure unsuspecting and naive women to their peril. I also have known women with the same attributes. Let's just say, naive and innocent people are always their targets. Ryce had a sheltered, middle-class lifestyle. Growing up in the American Dream. She valued her family and education, and she had strong moral principles. She romanticized about finding the ideal man to marry. She was innocent and was about to be exploited by this teenage boy. He knew who to target. He dehumanized her from the get-go. Thankfully, Beethoven saved her from what was about to happen.
I know it's a fictitious movie, but finding teenagers as innocent as this is hard to find nowadays.

I've remembered watching this at my Grandma's house many times as a kid when I come over to visit. I really liked it almost as much as the first Beethoven movie. Because it expands on the Beethoven mythos and it has compelling characters and a great villain. Not only that the first two films are all about the original cast. Compare to the other Beethoven movies in the series they are all not that bad all of them are just misguided because all of the other Beethoven movies in the series uses a different cast which many people including myself seem to have a problem with.
That's why I prefer to stick to the first two Beethoven films.

It really hurts to have alcohol poured in your eyeballs (I know from surviving human trafficking) so I feel bad for Beethoven whose eyes were stinging and burning and on fire. I'm glad he saved Ryce from being raped. I loved this scene when it came out when I was being raped as a child, and I wanted my own St. Bernard to rescue me from pedophiles and rip their houses in half. Would have been awesome. I think I was 11 or so and had been raped my entire life with no one to help me or save me from the bloody torture, so it was just so great to see Beethoven save her from a fate worse than death. The day before I saw an episode of Degrassi The Next Generation where Paige goes to a party to hang out with a boy she had a crush on, only to be lured to an upstairs bedroom where he raped her. My parents had to explain to me the context of what happened to Paige, so when this scene came up, I was terrified because I understood what was about to go down.
