JKR has said she was thinking about killing Ron and originally wanted Harry and Hermione to be together. She finds them a better fit for each other, I see her point but I'm so glad she wrote it how it ended up coming out cuz it's just perfect.

The way things worked out was indeed perfect. All the moments Ron and Hermione had over the years; Made the kiss they shared in the end that much better. And I know there's people shipping all kinds of couples but when it comes to books and movies, the scenes and bits where Ron and Hermione get closer or show signs that they like each other, work so well. In Chamber of Secrets Hermione had no trouble hugging Harry at the end because he was/is like a brother to her, so giving him a quick hug or kiss on the forehead(GoF) is no big deal at all. But hugging Ron, essentially her crush, was simply something she was too nervous to do. So the way things turned out was perfect considering how they were built! Cause as I've said, Ron and Hermione showed signs of interest very early on, so it would have been very weird to have her end up with Harry all of a sudden. In all the movies, Harry is the biggest shipper of Ron and Hermione. And Harry and Hermione talk to each other like they're actually brother and sister, they never really have any huge fights besides a minor one in the book version of PoA about the fire bolt.
I think she should have ended up with Harry. They had such great chemistry

I literally can't see Hermione and Harry like in a relationship, I like them a lot as a friends (and I also like their friendship a lot)

The trio are all such intelligent, brilliant, talented young people! I love these guys (and girl) and I've had SO MUCH FUN growing up with them. Half Blood Prince was amazing and I can't wait to see Deathly Hallows!!!

Megzy Pritchard dementors don't hate Harry, they just have to feed on life and happiness, so I don't think of them as bad, I think of them as the physical form of depression, they have no choice but to feed on what they are told to, I reckon that they were looking for Serius Black, and I guess in the wizarding world a god father is a binding contract, so the dementors found the closest link to Serius Black, AKA Harry Potter
