thanks so much for sharing this! I lived in Downtown Sacramento for about 3 years and I loved it! It's the perfect combination of suburbia and city life! I miss my Sac days... can't wait to return. I lived at the corner of 9th and R
rss671 Sacramento is an awesome city! A lot has changed in that area on the R St corridor. Now there’s tons of shops and restaurants. Downtown Sacramento has exploded in the last 5 years.
My nephew and I sometimes drove to Sacramento just for the hell of it. It's a beautiful city, though I know there are rough areas, as with any city. The weather (blast-furnace-hot) in the summer would get me down, but overall it's pleasant to drive to and back from when you want to tell your friends that you "got outta town this weekend."
It's definitely more active downtown now that we're out of the recession, tons of awesome pubs opened up. but other than the main areas like J street or K street, traffic is pretty light, even on weekend nights.
The secret about downtown Sacramento is that on weekends, like this, it is like a quiet suburb. The reason is that most of the jobs are state and government jobs and many of the workers live in the surrounding suburbs so downtown is nice a quiet.
celiactrunc celiactrunc i used to live here in sac 10 years ago, i loved it then, and i love it even more now, i just returned 6 months ago and loving it, we had a very mild summer this year, lovely nights, even in summer.
I have a question can someone please tell me how is the life for an IT specialest there. I want to move there but how should I collect some info to live there in Income.
Are you aware this video was shot at foward speed? People actually drive very decent and ive been here back for 6 months, i haven't seen one car accident NOWHERE.
I'm 19 from Virginia, and might look for job offers after college, how's the experience living there, prefer San Diego but way to expensive but this looks like a nice alternative
My hometown!! I don't know why people say south sac is bad. I live in Manhattan now, but I grew up in the Greenhaven/pocket area. I would def recommend it as well as Curtis Park. Both are easily accessible to downtown-like 15 minutes depending on traffic!
cameron willis- i'm thinking of moving from the manhattan metro (northern new jersey) to sacramento. which do you like better? how did you like sacramento
infoguy1978 i moved here 10 years ago left 3 years ago and just came back 6 months ago, i love it, it's one of the cheapest cities left to live in California, mild summer nights and average winters, you will love it.
Geeze it was edited. Do you see how bike and people move? If course you'll say you know but do you know you can change the playback speed as well? Geeze
I've heard it is fairly dangerous in Sacramento. Any suggestions on what areas to stay away from? I'm going to be relocating there for technical school in a couple of weeks, and I have heard mixed things about it.
Sacramento is a great place! Downtown/ Midtown is where I'd stay. Try to stay out of the south, and away from Del Paso and Garden Highway area. Good luck! I hope you love Sac, just as I did
So far my experience in Sacramento hasn't been too terrible. No one can drive properly here, but no one could drive properly back in Washington either, so I'm used to it.
It depends what part of town you want to live, like everywhere else, midtown sacramento ranges from 1000 - 1600 depending on the building and upgrades you get, good luck.

West Sacramento but it's obvious a bit more expensive .
Definitely South Sac but I guess it's a little too late since it's been six months already ;)

Jesus made this place! Jesus saves, repent and turn to Him!
Jesus doesn't do anything you brainwashed piece of shit, he's dead, he was a criminal who got executed for his crimes of hearsay.
