So happy to see Rocky n Mayur in Chikmagalur.. Looking at them describe Malnad delicacies was a treat. Just to add on a little more about Malnad cusine or food.. its an exclusive cuisine with no relation to either of the neighbouring regions such as Coorg cuisine n Mangalore cuisine which have their own niche.
Malnad food too is exclusive to Chikmagalur.
It is adequately spiced. If you can enjoy Andhra or Chettinad, this would be a breeze. The use of pepper makes it different.

'Highway on my plate' has always been my most loved food travel show ever. I miss the punch lines, the humour, the wit.. it was one amazing show. Please bring back that show. There are many shows which review food seriously. You guys are the best.. don't waste your talent by doing such no fun food shows.

@@sharmadashetty2189 I entirely agree with you. As avid follower of both I also feel that they are cute. But they are also treasure trove of food that is marketed all over India. Full real information without any bias is given to those who closely follow them. After Highway on my plate we thought they lost their steam. Luckily for us they used new platform to entertain us with new style. As a strict vegetarian I did enjoy all the episodes. In fact I used to wait egerly for their show. I am more than happy ( rather immensely happy ) to see them cover Karnataka , and that also with those cute Kannada pronunciations. Affectionately I called it hilarious. Most of the old ones were dedicated to Hindi heartland.

Not sure about Hassan, Kodagu and Uttara Kannada being part of the malnad region... This region particularly comprises the places surrounding Chikmagalur and those in Chikmagalur - Mangalore route... Sringeri, Balehonnur, Koppa, Mudigere to name a few..
