Halva Farsalon comes from central Greece and originally from the town of Farsala. Halvas Farsalon is unique in that it’s made with corn starch (not semolina) and the consistency is of a jelly with a buttery caramel flavour.Halva Farsalon is easy to make.Halva Farsalon is one of my favourite desserts.Great recipe for Halvas Farsalon
INGREDIENTS:
120gr. Melted fresh butter (unsalted)
270gr. corn starch
410gr sugar
960ml.water
100gr. blanched almonds
For the Caramel
205gr.sugar
For the Caramel Crust
2 tablespoon sugar
