Well done for the perseverance. I know what you mean about older engines, easy to work on. We used to do cortina /escort full clutch in about 40 mins. There will be dome a lot quicker than me too. Enjoying the videos, thanks.
I love your series on the ecoboom😂I have a focus 2013 ecoboost and it has done 100.000km or 60.000 miles untill now, I just changed the oil and I forgot that its been actually 10 years and what I should have done is Change the damn belts also😅My question is, should I change the belt now or should I run for 10000 km and then do it😒! P.S best series ever its very calming and I actually learned things👌🏻
Well from experience whenever I've said oh I'll do that in xx miles. It's usually bite me on the arse and failed before that point. So yes I'd do the belt now.
16.30 - One of the standards ways that they get money from you. "you want this small itty bitty part"? here it comes in this big assembly, ohhh and the price! mortgage time.
Looking forward to the next video. Are you replacing the clutch slave cylinder as they can be a problem? Great series of videos on the Fiesta, your patience is admirable.
18:54 🤣
What a nightmare of a job. I got shot of my Ecoboom Fiesta while it was still ok. Every day I used to think "will it be today?" Great videos.
Yes ticking time bombs

The good old days. When grandpa would stop on route to Cornwall and decoke the cylinder head as part of the annual holiday.
Nice video. The ultrasonic looks good

Working on the video now. Thought I'd lost the files. But found them now.

Thankyou
Any more vids to come in the series or did you just crack on and get it finished?
One more to come with engine going in running. But it's all good and done several thousand miles on new engine.
Where did you buy your reconditioned engine from and is it an eco boost?
Yes eco boost engine. Bought from approved engines. approvedengines.com/?gad_source=1&gclid=Cj0KCQiAoKeuBhCoARIsAB4WxtdHj__Hue3mO_Vc2_4V8npH0dwUIvc2VWwETkLsVAuAfF5PInvUFF4aAri1EALw_wcB
I’m really surprised they are push fit, you think the compression would cause them to pop out 🙈
They are sandwiched between head and fuel rail that is clamped to head. But yes I did wonder that at first you'd expect them to screw in
@@vintagesteelgarage ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh that makes more sense/explains why they don’t just pop out 👍🏻
What actually holds these in place ?
They have o rings either end and are trapped in place by the fuel rail bolted to the top of the engine
@@vintagesteelgarage thanks
