Great video and fishing session!!!! BTW are you doing the twin rivers bream classic on the 14 an 15 if so it would be awsome to see a video on that because there's not enough bream tournments on UA-cam!! and its great to watch people fishing under a compettive aspect, anyways keep up the awesome vids!!!!!
Thanks Toby! Yes we’ll be there. I probably won’t film that one as it’s an opportunity to fish with my friends that I don’t get to normally fish with - we normally all compete against each other. But I’ll see if I can film some parts, depending on where we are. Hopefully catch you there on the Sunday!
The cranka crabs are a ridiculously effective lure EDIT: anyone wondering if the 24bucks is worth it, it is, but watch those hook sets on the lighter 🦀
Thanks mate! My recommendation would be to focus on structure with no sounder. Doing what I was, especially if in a kayak or boat. If land based, throwing a crab around bridges or rock walls. Any kind of structure you can find. And try to stay in contact with the bottom and use scent
Hey mate. I just find accurate casting really important. The action/technique not as critical as really accurate/deep casts and the fish pick up the lures on the sink or off the bottom
Hey Jack. Just running that medium size so to speak? The 4.6gram one from memory. That’s my usual go to. As water depth was only 1.5-3m. I’ve been a big fan of Majorcraft Dangan braid 8 strand, .8PE. Super thin for 16lb!
What do you reckon to the new Daiwa skeleton grip rods for Bream? I’ve been doing a bit of Breakwall, landbased fishing for Tailor with Arma Metalik metals, with modest results, actually lost I think a really good Jew, as it went shallow and I got cut off. Recently purchased a Stradic in 4000 size which I really like paired with a new Jewel rod for exactly that Breakwall application.
So Bust up fishing, I do mean the Infeet Sks. Have you tried any of them? Apparently those skeleton grip rods a bit of an acquired taste, not for everyone. To me though they look so sexy, I mean mint!!
@PaulMalovFishing yea I have my own, but I don't think I'll bring it.. I was thinking of buying a rod when I get there. Do you know of any good tackle shops in Melbourne?
Great video Paul keep it up 👍
Thanks Tim, appreciate it!
Good stuff mate.
Thanks for watching Steve! Ended up being a great session

Great Vlog Paul 👌another master class on the bream and a feed of pinkies to boot . Well done mate 👊👍
Thanks MDK! Probably butchered those pinks but they were delicious in the end 😃
Great video Paul! Great to see you keeping some fish 🤪
Haha thanks mate! I was kind to a few that really could have got the chop as well! Next time!
Great vid Paul, you have taught me so much about Bream fishing from your vids, Thanks.
You make it look way too easy mate, great vid really enjoyed that one 👌🏽
Nice work, Melbourne sure can turn the weather on.
The weather and the fishing this time!
Great session Paul,,, awesome fishing 🙂
Some good fish there Paul. We should go there one day on the boat😊

Excellent vid Paul, any tips for winter bream fishing without a sounder? Cheers

Some nice bream there Paul, what do you find the most effective way to catch bream on cranka crabs in the yaught clubs and next to pilons.

Great structure bream fishing Paul ! What size muss were you using for those conditions ? What brand braid are you running at the moment ?
haha just saw the end of the video. Dangan braid , what do you think of it ?

I’m not familiar with their line of rods mate sorry! Shame about the lost fish!! Bugger

I’ve tried a mates but I haven’t owned one myself, very light but I don’t think they are for me, I prefer the infeet z grip
@@fmfisho. the skeleton grips aren’t for everyone. Very sensitive. I love my Miller skeletons but dad prefers a conventional style grip
I'll be in Melbourne in 2 weeks. Am looking for great fishing spots.
Hey Sean, you bringing a rod down? Depends what you want to chase. But probably best bet is bridges/jetties in the city for bream/pinkies/EP’s
@PaulMalovFishing yea I have my own, but I don't think I'll bring it.. I was thinking of buying a rod when I get there. Do you know of any good tackle shops in Melbourne?
Hi mate what is the weight of the mussel lure you used? Thanks
Hey mate. I use the regular/mid size weight 99% of the time. Not a huge fan of the UL and only use the heavy in strong current or deep water
What rod is that you are using mate
Hey Matt. Millerods BassFreak XH for the mussels and the Millerods Brawler for the crabs
@@PaulMalovFishing thanks mate
