This is one of the best makeup videos I have ever seen. Most people just say do this, shade that, but you explain why we're shading and offer tips for those with different types of faces than you- that makes a lot of sense.

your complexion is very incredible. Very beautiful. The highlight looks wonderful as well and the contour is very soft and light and effortless looking. I just wanna add this: contour isn't necessarily supposed to look "natural"; it's completely up to you, many people find contours to be highly unnatural looking, as it points out and carves your face depending on how sharp/deep you contour, but people love that look as well. The blush comes off quite dark and has the ability to age your face on someone as young as you with such a fair and clear complexion. Usually artists will suggest a lighter/pink/soft red tone for such a porcelain complexion but like I said you can do anything-that's what makes makeup an art. The whole look is quite conservative here, until the blush. But you go girl, you have skills for certain. Thank you for this and explaining all of it

Can you help me clarify why do you use mac emphasize to highlight if you top it with macs soft and gentle?? also have you ever tried macs harmony blush to contour with? That is what was rec to me when I went there (we have the same skin tone) but I trust YOUR opinion!! YOU'RE the BEST
The contour was perfect, the highlight was perfect, I almost loved the third powder but the blush ruined this entire look completely
Yeah you have to be so careful with Sin, I have that blush and it's crazy crazy pigmented

Natalie Melendez if you think thats bad youi should see the looks by Mary Kay makeup company, they think everyone should wear that much blush,, its crazy not to mention waaaay too powerful
+Natalie Melendez see I'm not sure because I'm sure we're all subbed to Jaclyn Hill but she didn't tap off the excess powder product before she applied it to her face. I'm not a makeup artist yet but I do have an art degree and one of the most valuable lessons we learned is you can always add more but it is much more difficult sometimes impossible to take away.

how have I not heard about u it makeup skills r amazing and beautiful I now feel like all I knew about contouring and makeup as a hole was wrong guess I'm going spend my night glued to you tube
I watch a lot of these you tube make-up tips. The problem is they are all young with perfect skin. No offense you're beautiful but I'm 40 with large pores,oily skin, puffy eyes, and my jawls are starting to sag. I want to see a middle age woman with imperfect skin do this so I can really see a difference.
Then watch a video from someone in your age group. They exist

Very nice tutorial and well explained! It always looks so easy when someone else is doing it, but when i do it myself it leaves some like kinda patches on my cheeks and i really try to blend it well and also use Mac products and brushes. It also seems that it goes on smoother on my right cheek when the product doesn't seem to "stick" to my left one. What is going on??? Help guys!

Thanks for the simple steps. I've been wanting to try contouring but doing it with cream is intimidating lol. I kind of feel like the blush would be a little much for a day look but either way, very pretty :)
This really helped with what to do to get results with powder contour and highlighting I just bought a palette and tried to use it but I couldn't see any types of contours, sculpt, or highlight but this helped hopefully I can get it right
