@ I actually only play on Switch, funny enough. Crashes are very rare, and generally it saves the run because Switch has really good save features. Currently just unlocked mega mush, working on first dead god

According to the wiki, Mysterious Liquid gives a green GLOW around Isaac, not make his tears green. Therefore, you are actually incorrect Matt. >:(
it does also make your tears green as well as a glow, but since there was already a blue glow from Crown of Light, it wasn't visible
