The Fire Master! That was cool. I love your channel and all the different things you try David. Love your hobo stove builds too, especially this one from the saucepan.

That is another new one to me. I've been starting fires primitive ways for 20 years and never heard of this! Very nice!

I didn’t know you did this in the past. Last night I was going for a bow drill ember but my fire board has some resin it and it doesn’t want to work. I thought to myself “I wonder if I could make a fire board out of cardboard?” So awesome that you put this out today. I’m going to give it a go

Love that the gasoline jugs are setting within 3 feet of that fire 🔥 gas fumes.😅

Now that was good! Have you tried cardboard spindles? I imagine they wouldn't hold up well. Maybe with right wound string?

David. I've seen claims that it helps to have a channel across the bottom of the hearth board, so that air can get to the coal. Have you tried this, and what's your opinion of it? Thanks.

I used to use it, but I don't think it's worth the effort. You know, the ignited part of the dust pile is way up at the bottom of the spindle. That's about as far away from that chamfer as you can get.

So Dave I notice you seem to be able to make fire out of just about anything I was wondering if you could teach us how to make fire out of Rocks and mud Although I do got admit the cardboard trick here is pretty good

Such the gentleman, apologising for positioning himself awkwardly. Must be for new viewers - those who've seen enough know the ins , outs and wherefores to forgive all transgressions😁

It would have bothered me to see someone else move into the way of a shot like that, such an important shot. It interfered with seeing the trail of smoke that was intensifying as I blew on the bundle.

I still love your channel. Maybe it’s the inner caveman who gets excited about fire making.

Also, has anyone asked about what material that is that you catch your ember on? It looks like thick leather but you got me.

Everybody sitting around a campfire, bonfire, or in front of a fireplace stares into those flames while talking, eating, and laughing with friends

2x your 2x might reveal how fast you would be if you were only 1 and 1/2 feet tall but I'm not sure we needed fire back then.
