- In her first TV interview since losing an eye and hand after colliding with a plane propeller, Lauren Scruggs speaks with TODAY's Savannah Guthrie about her recovery, saying she hopes her story will inspire others. She also meets gymnast Gabby Douglas, whom she calls an inspiration.
Clearly if you don't believe in God then hold your tongue. She is thankful to be alive which is why she praises God. It was obviously a freak accident so she is lucky to be alive and she can thank God for that considering her injuries were life threatening. People are quick to judge people's beliefs when they don't believe in anything. God bless Lauren and her story is remarkable.
You have to be stupid to a religious degree to not hear a fucking propeller; I have flown a lot and the sound of a propeller is not something you can easily miss or not hear, and it doesn't take a genius to know that you shouldn't walk towards the propeller especially in the dark, there's a reason that nobody walks within 30 feet of a rotating propeller, it's really dangerous and anyone with a functioning brain knows to stay the fuck away until it's safe and even then if someone is in the plane don't go near it.
There are a load of, mostly women, who have had injuries or died from walking into propellers, I'm not sure why people think it's safe to walk near one - it's not like it spins really fast and is also super strong and sharp or anything, it's not like it needs to produce a lot of thrust to move something like an aircraft. A bunch of deaths and injuries are from women who want to get a good selfie and just walk into the propeller, like the propeller isn't made of foam or something.
So long story short, I am not surprised she's religious considering how much of an idiot she is for doing that to herself; at least she's too stupid to accept all blame for it happening so she doesn't wake up every day filled with regret.
You have to look at the bigger picture, everyone came into earth with a purpose, sometimes people have to go through something horrific and come out stronger in order to inspire others. She is brave, beautiful and very strong to be able to keep shining and even be able to share her story with people. It shows that you can go through the worst and yet you can still come out stronger. Never give up.
And her purpose was to be a fucking idiot for walking into a propeller, anyone who has been around a plane knows that propellers are extremely dangerous and it takes a retard to ignore basic instinct and stay away; you will never see a professional walk closer than 30 feet to one and they will be fully aware of where the propeller is and what the pilot is going to do because it's fucking dangerous. Propellers aren't made out of foam and you can't just brush it off, it will destroy you.
The bigger picture is that god is a sick fuck who loves to see blood, gore, and psychological damage; and I have no idea why anyone would want god to exist.
Through it all, she has maintained her uncommonly high cuteness factor. Absolute perfection!
Everything is a blessing, a miracle, and part of God's plan.
What god's plan? She stupidly walked into a propeller. god doesn't play this game with making plans for people's lives... I think he has better things to do than that...

I really can’t stand cynical and intolerant people that contribute nothing but negativity to society. Honestly, what do your negative comments do for people? Do they help anyone live a better life? Will they help someone that has gone thru something this devastating?
I actually did think about that when I was living in that apartment. I couldn’t leave the blinds open when I slept because I thought what if somebody tried to shoot me through the window? I also thought about people shooting me through the ceiling

Plane propellers should have illuminated lights while running. This type of accident is not that uncommon.

And all that for the false hope they're given, It's nice and all to have the faith everything happens for a reason and is gonna end with rainbows, sunshine and unicorns but you just can't fool yourself forever. And the truth is gonna end up hitting you right in your face.
Those aren't false hope :) because things here on earth doesn't last. Rather, things eternal lasts and God has a plan for lauren. Lauren understood that outer beauty fades, and inner beauty lasts! Loving people, kind, etc. Because in the Lord, He has plans to give you hope and a future and not to harm you it's in Jeremiah 29:11.
Without that accident, maybe she wouldn't understand what BEAUTY truly is.
I have read pieces of the conversations here and it doesn't surprise me. Yet it still hurts reading these comments. I can't say I have the right answers or what I say will be liked. So here is my two cents. That probably won't be popular, but here goes. If you have read the Bible. You know that the world wasn't filled with problems until after Adam and Eve sinned (yes I know saying this could have a debate by its self ) So why blame God for the bad that's in the world? Because He didn't stop something bad from happening? I know if He is so good why did He let this happen? Because God gave Adam and Eve free choice to obey Him, you can guess thechoice. So everyone is a born sinner (yes I can guess I'll be getting comments on that alone) there are consciences for doing wrong. Bad things happening to ever body (that includes me) . As for proof that God exists you have to have an open mind. The proof is everywhere you just have to look.(but if you want look up Ken Ham and Jonathan Park radio series they'll give you the info ) In Isaiah 55 : 8,9 it says" For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord. For as the heavens. Are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts." So it comes to no surprise He doesn't do things the way we think He should do it (me included ). And if I sound cocky I don't mean to be I just want to say my opinion (although I have a feeling it's not going to be liked here) . (Sorry if periods. Are in the wrong places you can thank my phone)
