i'm old so bear with me, this is going to be long-winded. First of all, love your reactions. Your enthusiasm is infectious. Checked out Spy x Family because it was heavily promoted here and on Crunchyroll. Figured it couldn't possibly live up to the hype, but I gave it a chance anyway. First episode got me hooked. Loid and Anya are just so cute together. Second episode sold the deal. Opening was reminiscent of one of those classic Saul Bass openings (think West Side Story 1961 version) an in fact the whole epiode was reminiscent of a classic spy series from that era (Mission Impossible/Man from U.N.C.L.E, the OGs not the reboots) mixed with familiar rom-com tropes (mistaken identity/miscommunication) and I'm all for it. Yor is such a cutesy character and not at all what I expected from her description as a top assassin and I love her all the more for it. Loid is just too cool to be true, and then he slips up and shows he's human after all. Not nearly enough Anya in this episode though. Also Frankie. Kinda makes me want to see what the Shopkeeper looks like. Anyway, I'm loving this show, glad you love it too, can't wait for Saturdays and experiencing this show with you and your viewers.

She’s perfection as Yor! Aside from SPYxFamily this season, she’s also costarring in Heroines Run The Show along with fellow Demon Slayer alum Kouki Uchiyama (Rui) and Inori Minase (Jeanne the Hellfire Witch, and a certain oni maid named whose name escapes me at the moment…) And I’m not sure if that was Natsuki Hanae as Yuri, but it sure sounded like Tanjiro…
Haha I hereby appoint you OtakuMai's "Anya is cute" counter :) I agree with you, she's amazing and I love her as Yor, fits so well! As for Yuri I actually searched it up after the episode and found he's voiced by the same VA as Floch from AoT, his name escapes me though
She also voices Himawari from Boruto, Yumeko from Kakegurui and Saori from My Senpai is Annoying. I think her playing Yor will confirm her as one of my fave VAs.
The real question is if Anya can balance the two of them to both ensure they don't know of the other and to protect them from the dangers they will face. (Also loid's mission and schoolwork)
What I love about this show is that it doesn't bullshit or trick us. Right out of the gate it is pretty clear that this family will end up together, hopefully with a little sister/brother for Anya on the way.

The opening vibe & style reminds me a lot of classic Cartoon Network series opening or another spy/action thriller anime like Cowboy Bebop or Lupin The 3rd. Overall, we are in for a long rollercoaster ride (it's a two cours, 25 episodes series btw).
Don't worry too much about the two countries in the show, they are both fictional countries that don't exist in real life. That being said, they do somewhat parallel east and west Germany back in the 1950's. All you need to know about the countries is that they were at war with each other 20-ish years ago and although they are currently at peace, the grudges left behind by that war have yet to fully heal.
The Opening is banger!!! it's so good, expect from Official HIGE Dandism, their song is so good. 2:34 love the way that from unique and cartoon looking style to their real style and badass animation. Those two literally BADASS!
Why do I feel that this is within the same universe as AoT? Marley should be around the corner somewhere and I would not be surprised if they reveal later that Yor is an Ackerman. Loid: No ring, no problem

The only reason it can possibly be 2, is cuz I'm a manga reader of Chainsaw Man coming out October, and I love that series but anyway, I can't wait to get on this journey with u Mai, I'll watch every reaction.
Huh, so Episode 2 really did cover just Chapter 2 as well, understandable since Chapter 2 i think is probably the second longest Manga Chapter i ever read with 55 Pages, but now leaves the Question of how many Chapters Episode 3 and any future Episode will cover since Chapter 3 is only 27 Pages and pretty much all of the Chapters from here on out is usually somewhere around 25 Pages, based on the Preview it seems Episode 3 will also only cover Chapter 3, like Episode 1 only covered Chapter 1 and Episode 2 only covered Chapter 2, so that really just leaves any Future Episode after 3 in the dark, at least for now, I really wonder how they intend to cover the rest of the Manga from here on out, i also wonder if any of the Extra Chapters will be covered at some point as well, i can’t wait to find out how they’ve done it.
