Thanks for the video man sounds great!!! Hey do you have to recalibrate the exhaust vavles to avoid CEL when installing Borla Atak Catbakc system? I know the C8 can be a lil picky with putting the valve Actuators back on.
Great review question please, i have installed same this borla Exhaust but sport mode is the same sound like normal, doesn't mean not properly installed and where is the wrong step so i can fixing it Highly appreciated if you replied me back
Great video, I just put this same exact system on my C8 and the tip alignment was by biggest beef!! You mentioned it but didn't show how to do the micro adjustments to the tips without taking the whole bumper off again. PLEASE SHOW US how to do this!! Thanks in advance!
Great overview video......While leaving out the intricacies of bumper removal, exhaust removal and reinstall of those pieces all other parts. Must be a company who obviously wants to make it look like a mystery, instead of providing an instructional video. But thats cool, plenty of other videos on YT that show the step by step.
There are lots of videos that are a comprehensive demonstration of doing the installation. This was designed to demonstrate the approximate time of the what it takes to do it.
THIS IS DIFFERENT BUT I NEED YOUR HELP ,I'M LIVING IN FLORIDA SO I SHOULD USE THE CHEAP CAT BECAUSE YES WAS STOLEN AND I HAVE NOT MONEY TO PAY MORE THAN 2000 $ , NOW ; I USED THIS UNIVERSAL CAT BUT MY PRIUS IS 2010 AND I HAD TO CONNECT THE TWO HOSES OF THE COOLER SYSTEM BECOUSE THE UNIVERSAL CAT HAS NOT CONECTION BUT NOW THE CAR ENGINE IS REHEATED ; HOW CAN I PURGE THE SISTEM??? THANK YOU FOR YOUR INFORMATION.
How did you align the tips? I had my exhaust installed and it sticks out on the right 1/2 inch. The installer said there was no way to adjust forward and back, only right to left.
@@mufflertech Thank you, I ended up doing exactly that, was able to drop both sides by 3/8 inch using spacers on the exhaust hangers. Then loosened the cat/x-pipe clamps to adjust left to right. I was able to do all of this without removing the bumper.
Can you tell me how you rotated the tips. Mine don't stick out but the passengers side needs to rotate clockwise about 1/4". As far as I can see there are 2 clamps on the input side of the muffler. Is that all it would take to rotate the tip? Thanks!
6 plus hrs!!! Ive seen many videos where do it yourselfers do it in 3 at the most 4 hrs. I'm sure you do a good job but you are charging way too much labor! Its work but its not that intensive! Seriously!
We did this with one person’s time. We can do it faster with two tech’s. Keep in mind this includes the rack time as well. We are systematical in our process. All of the hardware is organized, the shims for the rear bumper are counted and returned their factory locations, and we spend time adjusting and shimming the rear mounts to make sure the tips are as symmetrical as possible. Our goal isn’t to be the lowest price on the install, it is to continue to do a 5 star job as our review’s reflect and make sure our customer is 100% satisfied. All of our customers know what we charge before we do the work.
@mufflertech Like I said I'm sure you do good work. I know it is very expensive to put aftermarket exhaust on a C8. I should be getting mine pretty soon and definitely want it done. So are you charging about $250 an hour!
Dealer just quoted me 7hrs labor so I guess they are perfectly in line. Sounded high to me but this video proves I was wrong.

There’s a lot of reasons valves may not be functioning properly. Have they been recalibrated?
Sir thank you for sharing this video. I have the same Rapid Blue HTC, and I am going to install paragon exhaust system.

The tips being high or low in the hole can be fixed by putting washers between the rear muffler hanger and the subframe.

Hi Kobe, what is the easiest way to find Honda engine family number if the emissions sticker is missing due to the hood being aftermarket?
Great video

You have to do it with hanger adjustment.
