I bought two 1100 gph bilge pumps to make a DIY trolling motor. This is a review of the initial performance and the amount of water it actually pumps out per hour.
Made me homesick seeing the Filipino streetscape through your gate and hearing the rooster... my retirement's going to take me back to Davao City... if I ever manage to retire. :) I have the same type of pump in my boat though it's a 500GPH one. It's marketed in Australia as a "Bowline" brand... though that probably means nothing. They're quite popular here... all the boat shops stock them. Quite a bit more expensive than in Phils though... of course.
looking for a pump which has good amount of flow but low head. Found this one ! You know what ? I am going to build a dish washer with this. Any inputs?
@@kentgerman3992 The 2 red wires from the 2 pumps go to one connector on the switch. Then you attach a separate wire on the other connector on the switch which goes to the positive on your battery. The other 2 wires from the pumps go straight to the negative terminal on the battery. Just search on youtube how to wire a toggle switch. It's easy once you watch it.
To test the flow of the bilge pumps to see if they'd work for powering my kayak. I have them mounted to my kayak in another video. They work but I need bigger pumps to go faster.

how long does the battery AGM 12V run for a long time?
What is the maximum current when the pump is running in water?
That was a 25ah 12v battery. It ran both pumps for about an hour the last time I used it.
Are you located somewhere in Asia? Could you share the link in Lazada?

That switch you used in your next video hooked up to these, what kind was it? Looking to try this out myself. Was the wiring complicated? Cheers
I just used a switch that was available at a local electronics store. I'm in the Philippines...slim pickings. Super easy to wire it up.

@@kentgerman3992 The switch only has 3 connection points on it. You only need a toggle switch with 2 connection points, though .
The switch and wiring was easy. Look up videos on UA-cam on how to wire.
