Kind of wierd how honor releases flagship phones but when it comes to tablets it keeps releasing these low/mid range underpowered devices with weak cpu's. Not sure why they don't put better cpu's in their tablets as well and compete with the better devices on the market.

Im specifically looking a tablet for 4k video editing as a portable solution as phone screen is too small to work with. Aoart from exoort times whats your thoughts on how the editor scrubs thriugh footage etc did you notice much lag etc
Hi, I loaded 20 minutes of 4K video into InShot editor to test and I didn’t notice any notable lag when scrubbing. If you jump really fast from say 1 minute to 10 minutes then there was a 1-2 load time. But generally scrubbing through the footage was absolutely fine with barely any lag at all. Hope this helps, anything else please let me know 👍
Hey, no idea at the moment, I had read March somewhere and I contacted Xiaomi and asked them but they said they can’t provide a release date but to keep an eye on their website
Hey buddy, thanks for the awesome review. You explained all the details very well, especially the video playback part about 1080p/4k playback. At the beginning of the video in the display specs, it was mentioned that HDR was supported but in UA-cam, it's not. Could this be a software issue and do you think it can be resolved with an update? Also, why does the video stutter on 2160p60fps? The display refresh rate is 120 Hz so I thought it could handle 60 fps. Thanks for your inputs.
Hey man, thank you for the kind words I’m glad you enjoyed 👍 It seems that may be an error, I was using Antutu device details feature to showcase the display specs and seems it got it wrong with the HDR support as the display does not actually support HDR, apologies for that, an oversight there by me. Regarding why the video stutters the only thing I can think that would be causing that is because of the limitations of the CPU/GPU and not being able to handle playback at that setting
@@typicaltechlad Thanks a lot for your inputs. It's a bit of a bummer for this tablet as I was hoping it could do HDR/Dolby Vision for watching movies/TV Shows. Do you think HDR makes much difference in watching videos? If not, I can consider this tablet. Thanks again for your video. Subscribed!
@@JeniferAJ-h6g HDR is pointless on a display that only goes up to 400 nits brightness. Everything will just look too dark. The only way to be sure is to check it out yourself on an OLED panel or something like that.
You’re right Mark, it is, I was just making the point that the Pad X9 is such good value for money at £169 and that the Pad 9 offers only minor upgrades over the X9 and for me personally doesn’t justify the price difference of £130 between the 2 tablets, maybe if it had come with the anti-glare display and a stylus included then it would have been worth that price
