Wowza, I'm going to have to look for some mini vases, love the lamp shade in the living room, and the chandelier was a surprise, when you first started it, I admit I doubted how it was gonna look, silly me, it looked fantastic, Pink ones looked great in the pink apt. If I had to choose a favorite it's a tie between bedside lamp and tassle chandelier. great music choices.

Ginger, I love the lights. I never would have thought of using the eggs. You are soooooooooooooooooo talented and a wonderful craftsperson. You make it look sooooooo easy. I love how you tell us exactly what you are doing so we can try to duplicate it. (Notice I said "try" because I always have to go back and look at your video to duplicate it.) All your lightes are beautiful. I went to see Barbie the Movie, so my fav is your pink light (at 30:38) . By the way, I finally say you in gloves, my friend. Way to go!!!! Your kitchen is absolutely beautiful I'm singing now "Maybe I try it- Maybe will". (ja, ja) I am working on a Barbie the Movie house for my little grand niece, so I think I am going to make a smaller version using your ideas for lighting. Be blessed.

Planning to wire my daughters dollhouse to switches she would have me turning on all these lights otherwise but love the fixtures definitely gonna be trying my hand at recreating these
that's cool, i'm not confident on working with electrical wire stuff :) these bulbs are so easy to use and they're small enough to make lamps and chandeliers with :) cool!

Thank you so much :) i got the bulbs from amazon, search for 'party light' 'lantern lights' etc... if you can't find them, let me know and i'll send you a link, my little thingamajig really helps making tassels, i find the hardest part is getting a tight knot around the tassel :) thank you
I have a question for you Ginger. I am new. I'm not sure how to get started with a different Barbie house. Should I start to try to paint plastic furniture I have first like a kitchen stove I have it's blue plastic and the kitchen sink was the same one you have. I'd like you to show me how to make lamps for the Barbie house not sure how to get started. Hooe you can help me with some ideals.What kind of paint do you use on plastic Barbie furniture. Thanks. Hi Kathleen, I like to paint the dollhouse first, and then decide how to paint the furniture, if you're not sure what colours or style, check out pinterest for inspo pictures on real interiors... I made a couple of lamps in this video, I think having the little bulbs help. I always sand the plastic before I paint, so it doesn't need primer, and I just use dollar store craft acrylic paint... hope this helps, let me know if you have any more questions :) have fun!

best and modern, sounds cool, i have 3 other collector barbies, a marilyn monroe and elizabeth taylor, my keith harring doll already has an apartment, the pink pop inspired diorama.... i'm thinking maybe a modern one for elizabeth?? i see marilyn in a glam diorama .... white....diamonds.... luxurious.... what do you think?

First of all, I do want to say that I think your pink dollhouse is gorgeous. I love how you kept a lot of the original wall color and integrity of the house but amped it way up. It's one of my favorite makeovers.
But I have to say that your videos are just waaaaayyyyy too long. This should've been 15 minutes instead of 40 (plus ads). We don't need to watch the entire process. Look at Froggy's videos. You don't sit through half an hour of her fast-forwarding hands. She shows you the important steps. You gotta learn what to edit out. If you're wondering why this vid has 5.3K views but only 300 likes, I would bet it's because a lot of people got bored and bailed, or just didn't have time to watch. People are busy. There's a million videos being put out, stuff on Insta. Plus all the non-Barbie stuff I do online. If every person I followed made 40 minute videos, I could do nothing but watch videos all day, not eat or sleep, and still not be able to watch them all.
And speaking of all the videos, there are a lot that do things like make lights. This is the way *you* do it. It's not perfect. For instance, the side table lamp in the bedroom was my least favorite, because the shade was too bulky. You used too much fabric for a base of paper to handle, so the edges bunched up when rolled. Cut some darts/tabs into the fabric on the inside so that it doesn't bunch up.
Anyway, what I'm trying to say is that your way is not the best way. When you title a video "How to Make DIY Lights," you're saying that this is how people should do it. You should title this vid, "How I Make DIY Lights" or "Making Some Lights for my Barbie Rooms" or "Making Barbie House Lights with Thrift Store Finds." Don't try to make yourself sound like the definitive expert. Then the expectations might not be so high.
I do think you are good at this and have great taste, so I'm writing this to give you some advice on improving because I think you should keep going.
