My prayer request: I didn't get amazing grades in GCSEs. The ones that matter; triple sciences and maths, I got three 7s and one 8. Bottom line is, everyone else applying has like straight 8-9s. The only assurance I have right now is faith. I would really love to go to Oxford (or Cambridge) but my chances are looking very bleak, please pray for me, thank you!
Don't worry! 7s and 8s in GCSEs show that you a still a hard worker- I'm sure whatever university that God leads you to you will be able to shine for Him and witness to those around you- its so great that your dream is Oxbridge but remember its not the only university which will enable you to glorify God in your studies and outside of your studies!!
Can you talk a bit about how you approach a module, how you divide and conquer, study techniques, how you manage slump days, etc.? I’m sure our mutual friend, Jesus, will good take care of you. Have a good time with your family!
thank you soo much Mathew!!! At the moment I'm 'scoping the subject' (in the words of Ali abdaal) like organising my revision resources, and plans for the Easter. I think in terms of slump days, something interesting that I've heard before is either work or rest, if your body is giving up and telling you to rest then you should!!! i'm trying to use more active studying techniques, and also take some notes. I don't have many weeks to go till the exams so i think my time would be best used trying to prepare for the exam. but im still very confused on what works best for me, maybe by the time my second year starts i will have better techniques!!
