Seph, I'm glad you accepted my request for this song. Some people say that the lyrics are about his brothers. Jermaine and Randy had children with the same woman and when MJ wrote this song Jermaine and Michael didn't have a good relationship. I love this song.❤😂
I only recently heard of this song and I am with you, the lyrics are awesome!! I love how MJ get's down and really funky with this number. Thanks so much for sharing. Big smile on my face.
@@jillturner8680 no. That is wrong. Jermaine's Word To The Badd came out in 91, at the same time or right after Black or White, this song was recorded in 89 I think and wasn't even released until 2004 in a boxset. And the lyrics don't even make sense to be about Jermaine.
I wonder where they got the "I might tell dad about what I saw" from because everytime he says it I only hear "I might drop dead about what I saw", which he says in every chorus, and it's not in the lyric websites I searched either. Good song though.
@@SephPlays yeah some of the lyrics here don't sound right, even on Genius it's just "I might drop dead about what I saw", nothing to do with "dad", but I looked in several lyric websites and apparently it's "even worse the birthday" not anything with "breast" and "I caught your mother she doin a dude" but it sounds more like "I caught your mother she doing the do" I don't know to be honest lol
Thank you for finally doing “Monkey Business” it’s definitely my all time favorite unreleased MJ song hands down it damn near sounds like a finished product it was recorded in 1989 during the Dangerous recording sessions and MJ’s vocals on it are second to none such a groovy track, love the instrumentation of soul & blues atmosphere, and don’t get me started on the message of the song it was written about an affair surrounding Michael’s brothers Jermaine Jackson's relationship with Randy Jackson’s girlfriend, Alejandra Oaziaza. This song should’ve definitely been on the Dangerous album 100% this is why he’s The King Of Music Forever! his unreleased songs are better than artists finished material MJ is unmatched🙌🏽👑🔥🌟(And it sounds the most polished out of any unreleased MJ track ever Period! Also if I were MJ I would’ve made Monkey Business a bonus track for the Dangerous Album this goes to show you how much of a perfectionist MJ truly was/is!)
Some of the lyrics here don't sound accurate 😂 but he does say something about someone's brother having kids with mother in law and all that stuff going on around him, sounds like someone was saying stuff about him and he decided to write this in response or just something he read or heard about and he wanted to show how disgusted he felt with the situation, the song wasn't included on Dangerous, but was released in a boxset in 2004, but I guess it's not fullyy completed and the lyrics are not really defined as being 100% right
Apparently this is about his brother Jermaine dating Randy's girlfriend whom he had kids witth 😂😂😂 this was never confirmed though it's speculation (Randy had kids with her and then a few years later Jermaine did too which makes the kids siblings and cousins at the same time) crazy right?? Edit: BUT it could have been about something that happened with someone else or some general thing that he read about and decided to write about, as this was recorded in 89/90 and at that time Randy and his girlfriend were still together and had a son, the first kid Jermaine and her had together was only born in 95 I think, so it wouldn't make much sense, but still the situation between the brothers and her is weird as hell lol couldn't Jermaine pick another girl?? Willdd
Ughgg really well that explains the motivation and inspiration for Michael to put it in words. As he once said in an radio live Interview -I hope Seph watches it- he said how he is amazed by Stevie wonder making a song about everything on the spot. The first feelings and observations turn into tune and become a song. I see how mj picked it up. As he was a sponge and expressed eagerness to learn
I gather that the song is speculated to have been written about an affair surrounding Jermaine Jackson's relationship with Randy's girlfriend, Alejandra Oaziaza. However, that's contradicted by the lyric, "Your brother's got kids with your mother-in-law." The lyric would need to be "sister-in-law" in order to be accurate. How are you feeling today? You were up super early hearting and replying.
@@Milkers777 the timeline don't match though. This song was recorded in 89/90, during which Randy and his girlfriend were still together and had 2 kids, one at that time in 89 and another one in 92, Jermaine and her only had kids in 96 and then in 2000, doesn't make sense. Now, if Jermaine and her were having an affair when the song was recorded no one knows but it's a fact they did not have kids at that time, which apparently the chorus is the reason why people say it's about Jermaine Randy and the girlfriend and it just makes no sense.
@balovett Oh my goodness. I thought the same when Seph replied to my comment and then another one of my comments last night. I forget what time. But I remember thinking that it had to be something like 2 or 3 in the morning his time. Which then had me hoping that Seph and his family members were okay. So kind of you to ask after Seph's health ❣️
I really like your reactions, and I'm also learning English. I'd love for you to react to Michael Jackson's song Fall Again. It's my favorite song of his because of the peace it conveys. I think it's a song from the Invincible era, so if you're reacting chronologically, I can wait, anyway, Good video. Greetings from Peru.
I think you should react to the unreleased stuff once you have listened to all the albums because when the albums are done what are you going to do next when you have listened to a bunch, if not most, of the unreleased stuff by then?
Yeah I actually really like this song I wouldn't be surprised if it was about a real thing that happened, people do some crazy things, I highly doubt this is about Randy and Jermaine and the girlfriend and them having kids with her because the timeline when this was recorded and when Randy had kids with her and then Jermaine a few years later don't really match but it's certainly crazy and wild coincidence, both their kids are siblings AND cousins, very weird, was Jermaine wanting to steal Randy's girl I don't understand and didn't even think about the kids lol anyway, this song is actually catchy and I love the background vocals (you're dirty dirty dirty baby!)
Fall Again that someone recommended below is a demo of an unreleased song he recorded for his last studio album Invincible, didn't make the album, it's a beautiful song but I'm not sure if you'd still want to react to it right now as you're not in the 2000s yet
Just here to show my support Seph 🙌 "Even burst the breast..." is the line that got me. Breasts aren't water balloons. You can't burst them. Unless they're silicon minted. Then yeah. Medical nightmares happen. So I'm gonna go with my gut here and say that some of those lyrics on the screen can't be right. As an anecdotal aside: Back in the 1960's there was a pink hair gel product that every woman used called "Dippity Do". Apparently you can still buy the stuff. But it dries your hair out so it's not really recommended any more. Oh yeah. I love vintage hair & beard fashions. Gotta go back to work! GRAND REACTION SEPH!
@SephPlays Oh Lord. If that were the case I imagine there would be a lot less obsession with mammaries 😆 And your terribly sleepy humor is no worse than my own, Seph 😉
As a reminder... This was just a demo, incomplete. Lyrics + singing not pristine, polished, etc. This is just a testament to how great his demos were, compare to most artists. I once heard even his demos sounded like complete songs, and that just shows how creative he was in his process. This reminds me of the Earth Song demo.. from how the demo sounded to what the finished product ended up becoming. This was my favorite demo off his Ultimate Collection CD that was released in 2004.
That electric piano part reminds me of John's electric piano melody in "I Am The Walrus" by The Beatles. The audio is slightly offset from the video on this one, Seph.
