Have a friend who had a couple of turtles in a big fish tank. I asked one day if they had names. He said yah. That one's " bitey " and the other one is " snappy " lol.
My cousin's grandfather had a yearling buck that hung around the farm that started living in the pasture one year. He followed the cows into the barn at night until his discovery one morning when Grandpa Ludwig came out to feed kittens a little deer wobbled up to him, he fed it and took care of him, and he became like a dog roaming the farm. Harassing us kids when we stayed away from the house too close to the woods. He would try and chase us back toward the yard and out of the 6 acre pasture lol During deer season uncle Jason would put an orange dog collar on him and buck would follow him up the ledge road. It was hilarious to see Jason in full hunting gear with buck following walking down the farm road people driving by would laugh and take pictures, this went on for a few years till buck eventually went his separate way back into the woods, once in a while we see him walking the tree line checking up on the property.
@@vanessabriggs-firmin2820 yw I feel very blessed to have gotten to know such a majestic creature and witness how the miracle of life really is the perfect probability of the most incredible sequence of events to have had to take place in order for something so miniscule in the grand scheme of things to exist on such a large level in something sooo small as a baby deer... Buck really had a special impact in all of us getting to interact with such a fragile life in its most vulnerable moment.
there are lots of stories of deer living with people and then when they grow up and leave, they come back to check on their human parents now and then, making sure to visit as often as they can :)
They have the most beautiful bodies/feathers, but definitely got the short end of the stick in the facial region. Their heads literally look like old saggy lady bits.

Turkeys are basically feather puppies. They will peck and they will harass you but they do it cuz they love ya. I had two that were exactly like this and they were my best friends
As do most other species..they also know the bad ones & that’s why many of them fear humans..not many truly good people around nowadays, unfortunately.
A week in such company would cure most types of sadness. You'd just laugh your socks off most of the time and forget why you were sad in the first place

He is next to the last person I would want to be exalted as an example of a turkey handler! The only thing worse would be if he reaction escalated into him abusing them, because they became more aggressive.

I had a Basenji (dog) who messed with my Dad. I think she stole one of his tools and ran around the yard with it. When I told him that Micha would run around the yard, playing, and when I leaned over, she had a knack for biting a nipple...and would keep running. It would was so painful that I would look down my shirt, fully expecting to see a missing nipple and lots of blood. My Dad would laugh when I told this story...till after it happened to him. But, he really loved Micha.
