My girlfriend got me the basic, cheaper Masterbuilt electric smoker for my birthday this year and it's been great so far. It doesn't have built in temperature probes like some of the higher end models do but I'd rather use a separate, stand alone meat thermometer anyways. The smoked jalapeno poppers I make on it are always a big hit.
Smokin it for electric, pricey but they are awesome. Uses wood chunks instead of chips you need to feed all the time (unless you do the mail box mod and use pellets with the masterbuilt style). I use a kamado with a flame boss and love it, still plan on adding a smoking it eventually.
