- The road to Friday, February 14th, 2020: #Jetman Vince Reffet took off, headed south towards Jumeirah Beach Residence, building speed and height. In 8 seconds he had reached 100 meters height, in 12 seconds 200m, 19 seconds 500m, and reached 1000m in 30 seconds at an average speed of 130 knots. At the end of a 3-minute flight punctuated by a roll and a loop at 1800m altitude, Jetman Vince Reffet opened his parachute at 1500m before landing back at Skydive Dubai.
It is the first time in history that a #JetmanDubai pilot could combine hovering safely at a limited altitude and flying aerobatics at high altitude in the same flight.
Controlled from the ground by the human body, the equipment enables Jetman Dubai to reach speeds of 400kmh, as well as hovering, changing direction and performing loops.
Held under the theme ‘Connecting Minds, Creating the Future’, Expo 2020 will be the first World Expo ever hosted in the Middle East, Africa and South Asia, region since the first edition in London in 1851. What a legend! RIP Vince....history will never forget that you were the first human to truly fly and everything hereafter is thanks to you
Yves is the first though I think
So sad it was for me.....Rest In Peace our hero...
RIP... You lived a great life. It's sad to hear him say... It's just the beginning :(
I'd have to say probably from this
The ending hearing Vince speak now saying that they are just getting started is so heartbreaking. A true legend gone too soon!
When I first saw this video, I could not believe my eyes, it was as if I was actually watching ironman take flight. The amount of skill, talent, dedication and courage it takes to pull something like this off, Vince was legendary, and will forever be a found father of jet suit aviation.
Rest in Peace, Jetman.
Yves Rossy was the first. Vince joined Yves, I believe, a year or two after Yves first flight...
I am literally crying. Beautiful! UA-cam really underrated this video, only 150K views ;(
How does this video have so little views and not making news everywhere on social media? This is absolutely amazing and the future of human flight.
Guys, you are the best! You create the future and you do it greatly! Thank you very much for the new video and all of your work! I wish you all good things!
The stair off icaro. The human flight step by step in direction off the sky! Congractulation all team!! A strong hug from BRASIL!
Rest in peace Vince .... So sad ...

Haha using a Wii Nunchuk is such a good idea, perfect fit for this application
I thought the exact opposite.
A $20 wii nunchuk definitely isn't something they should be risking that much on.
Wii nunchuk isn't exactly the most accurate analog platform. I suppose they don't need fine detail, but those nunchucks have long had drifting deadzones, and have been known to crack and even snap off leaving a sharp stump at best.
They couldn't design anything better.. and despite 'the foolish' commenting, below, it is designed for hundreds of hours use. The flights are short and will never add up to a month of gaming before being replaced.. it is perfectly applicable engineering.
@@SLINGSHOTWORLDTV "They couldn't design anything better" You dont "foolishly" believe that do you? I assure you they could. The controller was designed for hundreds of hours of use using the cheapest parts they could get away with. They weren't designed with someones life on the line. Even if they replaced it every run it wouldn't change anything.
@@SLINGSHOTWORLDTV It's also very cheap, which when considering the value of a human life, I suppose goes hand in hand. ------
.... wtf are you on about? It's a wii nunchuk. Possibly the worst analog application in the entire gallery of console gaming.
Always enjoy every Jetman video.
We will always remember you Vince. You were so passionate and inspiring.Thank you for inspiring us to chase our dreams.Thank you for pushing the boundaries of human flight. Thank you Jetman ♥️
Love all of your vids! Please keep posting!

This is the freakin coolest shiz I’ve ever seen
Legends Never Die
super nice! Vince was super excited about all these new stuff ! RIP Vince
Keep up the great work! Your team inspires us!!
Love and respect your hard work
When he starts to commit to the climb he's got to go full throttle and gain altitude as fast as possible because if the engines fail during that time he won't have enough height to use his parachute. That's the most dangerous part of his flight.
Great Job Mat & Alan and the team!
Good job .... The best is you are an amazing team of people highly motivated.... All the best respect to all of you..!
It is also my dream since my childhood , It is the feeling of freedom , I salute you!!
Keep up the awesome good work I look forward to seeing the future

That's really cool! Amazing, wonderful!))
Wow. Thank you for the video.
Incrível o trabalho desa equipe parabéns
Regards from Colombia, congratulations!
I think their very much underestimating how much of a leap this is in human innovation, in my opinion. Like he was literally just hovering there and then took off like a jet. Literally a flying human!
Absolutely amazing. Great 👍
visit rehan vlogs friend
This the a big step .keep it up.all the best guys
increible! espectacular! no tengo palabras.. bravo!!
You paved the way! RIP!

Thank you for very nice video.
You Dubai folks have All the fun!!! Great Work!
Suggestion: don't use ABC powder based Fire extinguishers on your turbines, the grit in the powder destroys the bearings. Use Halon instead. A few bucks more, but will save your turbine.
Turbine helo pilot 26 years, we only use Halon.
Yes great point!! Im not sure if engineers realize this, im sure they don't want to rebuild the turbines constantly once they get it dialed in.
Brilliant!💪
Absolutely incredible! I can't believe i've lived to the day to see my deepest most desired dream become a reality. Incredibly talented guys.
Super cool!
I use a Wiimote/Nunchuk to play Call of Duty on my PS4. Every year the equipment I need gets rarer and rarer and I fear one day it won’t be supported anymore.
Today, I saw you guys are using a Nunchuk! It gave me renewed hope that my coping mechanism won’t go anywhere anytime soon! Cheers from USA
I've been having a blast with one of these on Microsoft Flight Simulator👍
how does this only have 17k views wtf this is crazy sick
Fantastic
Thank you Vince...may you rest in peace
Just Amazing........
Congrats Sir
Jetman gives me goosebumps lol
You guys are awesome, hope one day to visit you and maybe join your team if possible. Flying has always been my passion and looking forward to help and support you
Nice one guyssss!!!!
Excellent
Intense!!
My guy if i had the chance to fly through the dunes at the sunset with a jet of those my life would automatically be complete
EPIC!!!
"Sir, we got an aircraft in our radar, currently clocking 210 mph"
"What is it? A jet? A chopper? A drone?"
*_"No sir, its a man."_*
A Flying Frog
This just happened in LA. Lol
This is so amazing, i love to watch every video of jetman. If there would be any possibility to join the team i would not hesitate to join!
Good video
Incredible! When is the first landing planned?
Very good 👏👏👏👍💎💎💎👍👍👍
Let's hope that Yves ok. Looking forward to seeing him in flight.
for take-off and landing..seems like the vertical/horizontal should all be automated/programmed. Seems like the computer can adjust must faster than your manual control, no?
Hope you rest and fly until your last dream . Form Việt Nam with love ❤️ 😢
Nice video
On pense à toi, Vince. Là haut à jamais !
My dream is skydiving and I hope to do it one day
Do it! It's a live-changing experience!
Flying like Ironman, but in real life. That’s awesome, congrats
Just crazy
I think Yves Rossy is not part of the Human Flight Project because of the simple fact that this may not be what he had in mind. If you keep adding things to the wing, it will soon become an inside-out airplane. Those thrusters could be easily controlled with a gyro instead of the joystick (safer but less fun).
respect
RIP Vince Fly High 🚀
You created the History , they said you will fail. You proved them wrong. #VTOL #Aerospace
Well now its time to transition from forward flight back to hover and land. no need of parachutes landing.
My thoughts exactly.
The problem is that you can't take more fuel on the flight. And what is - burns out in a couple of minutes
Now he’s dead (;
Probably died trying to land without parachute
I luv you plaid slman sir king of soudi arb🙏🏻😘🙏🏻😘🙏🏻😘🙏🏻
backstory for you: yves rossy the man who invented and started flying this jetsuit, the original jetman, detached himself from jetman dubai because safety issues: the way the jetsuit works, if anything happens between take off up to 250m-300m there's no plan b and the pilot will die. But jetman dubai wanted spectacle, wanted the visual of take off from ground into flight.
RIP Vince Reffet. I wonder what aspect of the "training incident" took this young man's life and if they would ever admit it?
one step closer to make pilot landing without parachute, :)
My thoughts exactly.
RIP mate :(
Rest in peace Vince
First, AMAZING!
Second, anyone know what happened to Yves? It's so weird that he's just randomly not in the picture.
The engineering miniaturization of the wing and jet engines to meet or a blend of etgonomcs continues to elevate humans engenuity from the original ideas of the Swedish Grand Master Yves Rossy.
Wow!!! Malayali💢💥💕💕💕🌷
