What a coincidence. I too went to see some racing recently. One of those visits will make it in to youtube too. I could swear first time I heard "I mowed myself a brew."
I really must get to a MotoGP race. That really suck with all your restrictions, hopefully they will be lifted for you soon and normality will gradually return!
I was meant to go to MotoGP this year. Was excited that Jack Miller was on a factory Ducati. Sadly, I will be lucky to leave my back yard this year if things keep going they way they are.
Cheers Anthony, I didn't realise before trying, that they have cut off access to a part of the circuit, which is why I didn't do a full lap, I was gonna go around the other way to the corners I missed, but found a beer instead! :D
Cheers TNC 🙂 side of track footage can never compete with the professional footage, so didn't think it would interest folk to show too many blurry bikes zooming past when they can watch better footage on the TV 🙂
Well you and Andy looks like you had a great weekend at brands hatch. I'm of to thruxton this Sunday to watch bsb race meeting so there 🤣🤣🤣 anyway you take care and ride safe TTFN
I feel the same way about sports. I don't really care much for keeping up with the teams and such, I just like watching the competition. I have seen it too many times where people just turn into status-titions (is that a word) where they can quote every stat on most of the teams or players. I can barely name one person and it is mostly the ones who did something dumb and wound up in trouble. I just love being in the moment and watching people give it their all and trying to win. Man I know you had a blast just bebopin around like a kid as probably most everyone was, hell I was getting all giddy just watching. Great video bid
Yeah, I'm def not likely to be able to regurgitate all there names let alone race wins etc, I just love the buzz, the atmosphere and the noise of the bikes tearing past at stupid speeds 😁
Nice little vlog Pete good stuff 👌 I've probably mentioned it before but I remember dominating Brand's Hatch on a racing computer game I had bloody yonks ago I don't even remember what platform it was on maybe Commodore 64 hahaha. I want to make a request, one time you should sing along with your outro tune hehe 👌👌
@@HippoDrones ok please sing along with yourself then lol 😁 I'll do something silly of your wishing in return if it makes you feel any better 😅 PS that's pretty cool tho singing your own theme song 👌
I went 3 years ago for a weekend of BSB and had an amazing time met a few people and it was great I keep meaning to go again but just haven’t been able too unfortunately 😔
Not much camping set up time when you've got a van 👍I've never camped at a race meeting as Donington Park is on my doorstep but I think I've missed out on the atmosphere.
Aye, my old van was pretty much permanently set up for camping as I kept a mattress in the back all the time (used it to lean the bikes against when strapping them down :-) Camping at the race meets is great as you can have a few beers and a BBQ etc, if you just go for the day there is so much more queuing and rush, you should def look into it mate :-)
I don't generally bother watching bikes racing, but 75% proof DIY "Moonshine" makes any video worth a watch(especially on 3rd glass) Hopefully news of new(better)job soon which'll give me cash to stock up on the moonshine & maybe get away to somewhere for a few days(hint: sarf coast lol)Then I reckon a meet-up might be in order.
There is a part of the circuit you can no longer get to on foot which is why I wasn't able to talk about each of the corners, but yes mate, had a cracking time 👍
I mean BSB etc need many sorts of fans, not everyone is going to be a superfan and know everyone by the colour of their helmet and leathers etc :) Good bloody point Pete :) The van looks the proper job for camping :) Ah man wish I could have been there with you it looks so fun. The people are a large part of the reason I like track days so much too! I think people who go to bike events are just sound :P The yellow man! 😁😁 I do need a good poncho too! I do hope Brad makes a full recovery, just shows how lucky some of us are when we go for a slide. It's the luck of the draw. Definitely could get a sense of it man, made me want to be there with you 100%!! And I'm very jealous of the van 😁😁😁 Hahaha squiging around in your own juices 😂 I love a good shower after a few days of that 😂😂 Great video Pete.
Aye, I do feel a bit of a bimbo at times, but when you look this good in a poncho, you can get away with it! :D hahaha I def need to look at insulating it better, and getting some kind of ventilation in it, all on the to do list :D Me too, I think he is still being kept in a coma to help him recover, keeping him in my thoughts. I just love the atmosphere trackside, and yeah, it can be on a trackday too, doesn't need to be racing, it is all a buzz of excitement and happiness :-) I def needed, and enjoyed a long shower when I got home! :D Cheers Michael :-)
@@HippoDrones HAHA, didn’t think about that so yeah, that would be a tricky dance for sure. Just like a 2 man sail boat i suppose where the passenger has a pretty vital job. I’m pretty sure i will be watching side car racing next😁👍
@@HippoDrones pahahah! I did that with my last Trafic but the new one I've got the seat really low. I thinks it's the door card/window size. The new van has larger windows and lower door cards. Real pain in elbow though doing the old one handed steering on the motorway.
Those sounds tho 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻🇬🇧
It is intoxicating to the eardrums isn't it! :D
