This just shows that Brock did everything he could to prepare, and it literally took seeing something from the chiefs they hadn't done all year to throw him off and he still started to figure it out by the 4th quarter. it was just that 3rd where he was a bit confused. He will get better with more experience, more time playing against all the different exotic looks he's going to get over the years. I think Brock is the type that will find answers moving forward. Outlook is still bright

he is a game manager with a weak arm.....with the aging weapons....Kittle and Deebo are on the way out.....Purdy is going to be mediocre soon.
He will outperform mahomes if he has an average OL. Just average. No need above average. Not even elite OL. Just average dammit! He just need an extra second!

Ah yes Brock Purdy is a franchise QB, but also, having 5 pro bowlers on offense isn’t enough talent to prop him up, he needs more help to be able to score 20 points in regulation to win a Super Bowl

@@erikdayne5429 been in the league 1.5 years and doing more than some people do in their entire careers. Give the kid a break, he knows how to play his team! its not always about being the best player, sometimes its about how to play your team in a way that lets you win. And Purdy took Mahomes to the last play of the game, and it wasn't even him that lost the game.
Unblocked pressure is something we should have audibles for. Purdy is 24 years old and in year 2..he gave us a shot to win

The next decade is going to be the Mahomes vs Purdy Super Bowl Era. Purdy is so good. The more freedom Kyle gives him the more he will help offset Kyle’s deficiencies the way that Kyle helps offset Brocks. It’s a perfect player coach relationship. Like Andy and Patrick… who have done the same. Andy reeled Patrick in, Purdy will need to loosen up Kyle. That’s how they win these big games.

Oh yeah Brock is a great player. I mean he almost had more TD passes than their third string WR. I don’t really care that they weren’t able to score 20 points in regulation to win the game, “Mr Irrelevant” is such as fun story and Brock is a great guy, they should let the little guy be the starting QB until the end of time, no matter how many seasons he ruins for the rest of the team and all the fans.

The loss still hurts, but the silver lining is this: Brock looks really good, Shanahan has HIS quarterback for the first time in his coaching career. Truly his QB, that he wanted.
Most of our core team will be back, and we can make some changes to beef up our deficiencies.
Could trade Deebo for picks, or Armstead, or Hargrave, etc. we NEED O line help desperately.
I agree with that, i would look at upgrading D.C , look at getting some picks for deebo or kittle, definitely keep hold of aiyuk and jennings. Then get that o line rebuilt. If we can get somewhere near the playoffs on a rebuild year great, but I would say now we have our quarterback, let's rebuild now.

According to the NFL official site, the winner is the team who is in lead at the end of OT. So if the Chiefs had scored a TD and there were to be time left on the clock, the 49ers would have gotten the ball back,
Appenently the Chiefs knew the rule, which was the reason why they wanted to run down the clock to not give the ball back to the Niners.
So time is of the essence.
What the Niners could have done,. give the Chiefs the TD and then try to score a TD on their own with the time that is left.
As soon as the Chiefs were in Field Goal range, give away the TD and save time..
If I`m right, Shanahan should be fired for lack of preparation.

It’s pretty clear at this point, it’s Kyle’s overrated scheme. Sean McVay won the SB two seasons after converting it to a pass variant. Heck, a rookie Puka Nucea set a record, while it takes Shannahan’s rookies damn near 2 seasons to even learn the stupid WR blocking fits.

I wish Kyle would have run the ball a lot more in the 3rd quater. 3.3-3.5 yards a carry is all you need in three downs to move the chains. Why are you not focused on the run game when it was productive. Every run play doesnt need to hit your head on the goal post, there is so much value is just keeping the opposing side's defense on the field, and pushing them back against their will. I think there is more psychological damage when a team is running on you and you can't stop them. Kyle is a genius offensive guy without seeming to be a great tactician.
Purdy will only succeed if Shanahan gets a new pair!😂

Positives are irrelevant. This was the best shot that this group of guys will ever have. Period.
They blew their BEST SHOT, that doesn't mean they can't win one going forward, but it will never be better than their shot was this year.
Greenlaw has a serious injury, kittle is going to be pushing 35, cmc is approaching 30, aiyuk may not be back, Jennings may not be back, Trent and Juice could retire anytime and soon you have to pay Purdy.
There is not silver lining to take away from this loss bc they will never have a better shot than the one they just blew.

@@Jonesocinco Bill Belichick. Elevate the QB coach Brian Griese to offensive coordinator, keep Steve Wilkes. Emphasize on offensive lineman during the draft. Jed must cut Kyle Shanahan out of this team and get Bella check on the same page as John Lynch immediately. Let's be honest he hasn't had the roster since 2019. Imagine what he'd be able to do here. And he'd have the players ready. Not this crap when they didn't know the new overtime rules. You maintain the continuity of the locker room while holding the players accountable. Bella check will absolutely love Brock Purdy. Belichick comes from a military family and respects those who give respect and Brock is a very respectful young man.

This game should have been won and like always Kyle starts passing a ton instead of running the ball when he has the lead. No jordan mason at all.
Kyle sucks in the big games! They ran the ball half as much as they passed. The chiefs defense weakness was against the run. That’s all you need to know. Genius my ass.
I dont get it. Kyle is an elite coach YET the Niners consistently appear under prepared, outschemed, have the wrong play called, and/or fail to execute in the most critical moments. Its mind blowing how bad he has been in the Superbowl

The morning after Buffalo got eliminated again Allen said the next morning, the sun came up. KC has a wicked defense. They took out Allen and Lamar on the road.

One reason is that not all OC/DCs can make the leap to head coach.
Purdy playoff totals. 3 tds and 1 int. That's not a single game stat. That's over 3 games. Let's be honest the 49ers should've been 0-3. Packers and the lions blew those games and obviously kc won the super bowl. And Jimmy G didn't have CMC.
