I’ll have you know that the gun puns in enter the gungeon are actually the best part about the game and are all amazing so how dare you call it “atrocious”
Just like a skilled marksman, these puns never miss
Agreed. He might as well holster his words if he can’t chamber a pun.
never mind that. He should stick to his guns. It's a tough load to bear when you can't ignore people firing them off so often.
we never had a shot to win this argument. Stop being so shellf-centered. You just have to barrel through it.
Even if you take damage thats your fault
Me: looks at ammoconda
Also high priest
@@abysslegend Those goddamned stray bullets that you're expected to see at all times.
@@abysslegend High Priest is seriously the only thing in the game that I think is bullshit. I don't think there are any other bosses/enemies in the game that just spawn bullets from the walls with no indication.
More like randomconda
@Alex Bachynsky He has this habit of spawning bullets from the walls with no indication. They just float in lol. But I haven't played in a while, they could have patched him
While i do agree with a lot of the points, I think something you didn't really touch on is how being an apple arcade game first limited the scope for the game. Since apple arcade games are meant to be playable on all apple platforms, it needed to be optimized for mobile, which is far more limiting than the vast array of controls offered by pc or console. This is probably why they went with a blessed default gun (less options to keep track of), removed active items (no easy method of activation for mobile), and made a lot of the enemies far easier (mobile players are often gonna be more casual, after all.) I think they also made it really clear its meant as more of a spin-off than a sequel, which is why I think they gave it far less content overall.
If isaac managed to put all the features on mobile, gungeon should be able to.
@@theoverseer1775 wait Isaac is on Mobile
@@terjelantinga1933 on apple arcade only, and it's only rebirth, no dlc. Still a good deal if I'm able to harass a single mother while on an 8 hour road trip.
@@theoverseer1775 i mean in gungeon you need to be able to see the bullets well and having 3 icons plus your fingers covering the screen it wouldnt be very good
@@theoverseer1775 I dont want to be mean, but ask Isaac mobile players how well it runs... I heard it can get really bad
This is a very good, straightforward and informative video, thank you for making it!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Im playing Exit the Gungeon now that i get the 100% in Enter the Gungeon.
Is very less deeper than Enter the Gungeon but it have also a nice and fast gameplay, also some character comebacks from the original game are great and make u love more the little pixel friends.
Enter the Gungeon is by far superior but i will also enjoy getting the 100% on this, the world of the Gungeon is amazing one of the best videogames imo.
How can i win winchester game? Help me please i Aced 2/3
@@aspirant9303 tbh it's just a matter of calculating your shoot and angle timings right
But if whenever possible, if you have flight or some way to go over the pits, utilize it and cheese the game.
When you said that it takes about 150 hours to 100% gungeon I nearly cried. I am no where near that and have 120 hours currently. Yay
I got mine at 90 hours
Great Video! Exit always felt like a weird spinoff rather than a true sequel to me. I'm looking forward to see what Dodge Roll will be working on once they're finished with House of the Gundead.
agreed
Finally someone says it! I got exit and IMMEDIATELY after ten minutes legit out loud said “I hate this?” it’s just… no the same, it doesn’t have to be, but almost every is the same in the bad way, and every thing new in the bad way also! I just don’t really like exit as much.
If you want a “better” exit the gungeon, i recommend soul knight. Although you can tell its an indie title though…. Its still “better” than exit the gungeon
I just feel like it’s an arcade spinoff which isn’t really supposed to be a full new game so I really don’t mind it
@@granthefato340 soul knight’s pretty good, but it is way more similar to enter than exit, and comes with the terrible, truly awful addition of making you play on mobile.
@@nikonei well i mean that why i reccomended it
Exit the gungeon kinda feels like super meat boy forever where both games do alot of things wrong that their other game does right
I never even heard of exit the gungeon lol
You're not missing out on much
I 100%ed both games and I thought that XTG was alright
I thought it was way too easy though
Like I'm pretty sure that I won on my first or second run lmao
I still liked it tho and the hello to arms update made me come back to it and play it way more
Also I really liked how jumping around in XTG too
"Way too easy" might be one of the strongest draws for me. I'd like for difficulty to be at some good middle ground, but between too hard and too easy, I'd rather it be the latter. Which platform did you play XTG for? I played it on Apple Arcade. There, when you swipe and hold, it shows the jump trajectory, and you go into "bullet time"/slow motion. Release the touch input and you perform the jump, and game resume regular speed. I guess having physical buttons doesn't necessitate that.
I think both of the games are both so amaizng and cool video man :]
Enter the gungeon is one of my favorite games of all time - nice video man :)
This was very interesting & well put together. It was a little off-putting to see Exit on screen while you were talking about Enter & it will probably put off anyone who hasn't played it before. Aside from that I hope to see more from your channel in the future.
The drop rate is sensible and by design
Thank you sir, very informative
I love enter the Gungeon but whenever i am bored on steam i will always pick up exit the gungeon over enter the Gungeon because its just fun to pick up and play
FWIW, it's easier to distinguish here since overhead view vs. sideview are quite distinct. Still, I was thrown off for a few parts there!
I don’t think there wallowing in enter the gungeon this is just a spin off title to show off Apple Arcade probably
him: damage feels justified
Me: SPAMMOCONDA IS A BOSS
That snake can go choke on one of it’s turret towers of you ask me 🐍
I suggest showing related clips as to what your talking about, i sometimes dont catch up and realize it later on that you are already talking about the Exit the gungeon rather than the Enter the Gungeon, it confuses me at times when your showing clips from enter the gungeon but talking about exit the gungeon at the same time, i need to catch up to see the full context as to what your trying to say.
Great video
Remember me when you are famous
Thanks!
For the homing part have you ever seen the low priest
nice vid
To be fair exit the gungeon was made by the developers to rest from developing enter the gungeon
my main problem is that their are one or two new enemies in exit that don't have enterys
Noice
I like this video.
I dream of the day Enter the gungeon 2 comes out
It won't they already said so
“If you’re hurt it always feels deserved”
Wall corners
Whatever happened to the enter the gungeon arcade light gun game?
This is a great video and hits all the key points, but for someone who might not have played either games I think would find it confusing. The reason is because the clips don't match which game you are talking about. Not trying to hate, just something to think about. Great video though 👌
Nah I completely agree haha, I’m trying to put a bit more effort into the visual editing nowadays, I’ve just never enjoyed that bit much lol
I honestly want to play exit the gungeon more
I might be the weird one here but I actually prefer Exit to Enter. By design exit is a shorter game, so I can finish a run in 20 mins instead of 40-50 mins that enter usually take me (yes this is a bonus for me). I'm also a "filthy casual", aka lazy and dumb, so I actually prefer forced blessed run from Exit than Enter since it take some of the decision making stress away from my ape brain :P (like I don't have to think about how to spend my keys). I probably just have OCD but every time I play Enter, I always do things that in some way kinda take enjoyment away for me - I always try to go to the Oblituary, which mean i almost always never ever get a chest on floor 1, which i guess is fine, perfecting boss is still doable but it slower and depend on the character range and accuracy can get really annoying. I also try to save my blank so i can search for secret room. Then after oblituary i try to not get hit so i can get that damn shield for an extra stage (god i hate this the most). It just, Enter stress me out too much. Yeah yeah I don't have to do it but by having it alone it make me feel like I *have* to. So I lowkey enjoy Exit more just because it take most of my options away and I can just focus on the part that I enjoy the most - dodging bullet hell and kicking ass.
This isn't to say that Enter is a bad game mind you, it's freaking great. I just personally prefer Exit.
Edit: There are also mechanic in Exit I prefer also. Being able to dodge roll again mid air (effectively double roll) is just super satisfying for example
Cool beans.
Enter the gungeon took me around 324 hours to 100%
I don't think it's a sequel... It's considered a spin-off of the original game
I noticed a nod to Tetris in there.
I just think etg wasn’t meant to be put into a side scroller
Yes, exit the gungeon is a great game. But not as great and Enter the gungeon. I think ETG would have been a better roguelike if at least we had 8 stages that get randomized depending of the character, instead of the main four elevators they gave us. It would be more fun.
Ps: excellent video 😁
Ps2: I came from reddit
Ps3: Im from Ecuador
I couldn't agree more. I tried my best to make sure I criticized the game, while still making it clear I liked it, so I'm glad that got across.
I agree with your points but I don’t know why you had to specify your nationality.

My Brain in this shop: Bro, Bro- secret room- bro- don’t walk away- COME BACK NOOOOOO-
For anyone that dosent play, when a shop has a little spot/cube in the wall like that about 90% of the time means there’s a secret room there
maybe he didnt want to waste his blank
@@fernandomoraga5683 blanks come back every floor, and using it on a secret room is NEVER wasting a blank
Woops, missed it! haha
Its not 90 percent, its actually not even that common
Bruh this room type isn't likely to have a secret room
Unpopular opinion, but between the 2, I'd rather spring for Exit. *Oh, both Enter and Exit are on sale for Switch until the end of Jan. 15th, 2023!*
It's not top-down, but I can't remember the correct name. It's like 3/4 perspective or something...
The only gameplay I saw of exit the gungeon was the mode that mimics its predecessor, thank god steam accepts refunds
Great video but exit didn't try to be better than enter and you did say that 4 minutes in but exaggerated in the beginning saying exit is worse in every way when it didn't try to be better.
Okay your comment tho on every time you get hit it feels deserved I'd say that's fifty fifty for enter the gungeon cause sometimes you'll walk in a room and only be two enemy then you walk into the next and there's three small bullet two bullet bats and four shotgun shells and they fire at the same time now half the screen is covered and you can dodge cause there all surrounding you so unless you use a blank your litterly gonna take damage cause of an unfair advantage in numbers
I played gungeon so much my r1 button stopped working
It's a spin off not a sequel
which other legends found out about Enter the Gungeon through Apple Arcade
You see, exit is a more casual approach on enter
Therefore it's bad
I love entire more than exit
Exit the gungeon is a spin off not a sequel
Whoever said that Exit the Gungeon is Easier than Enter the Gungeon has either Tunnel Vision or brain damage.
I was an idiot for getting enter the Gungeon
major thing for me is that it kinda feels more like a mobile game and less like a true sequel, also the game forcing you to take the blessing is infruiating.
it just feels rushed and like its not meant to be played more then a few hours at most
i dont really feel like its a terrible game considering everything but they couldve patched it up a little considering its been 3 years since it came out
One reason I think exit the gungeon flop was the fact they changed the whole perspective
Enter the gungeon was a top down fame whilst exit the gungeon is side on
I feel like they could make a game that’s a side on, but they shouldn’t have made it a sequel/spin off and connected it to enter the gungeon
This is just my opinion tho, so take it with a grain of salt
Have you heard of risk of rain 2?
Excuse me, did you call enter the gungeon a "free game"?
No, sorry for the confusion, I said that the team previously developed a free game before enter the gungeon. Hope that cleared things up!
4:46 quick correction, gungeon is a rougeLITE. Rougelikes are turn based (mostly, there are some exceptions), and don’t give any achievements that help in future runs, every run is completely from the start. RougeLITES are games that take the rougelike formula and add achievements, progression and 100%-ing to the game, and also remove turn based stuff (mostly, there are once again exceptions).
Why did this person just talk about it for like 4 minutes
You lost me at insulting the puns.
I don't think I have ever hated a sequel more? Boss fights in the littlest rooms possible? instant delete. As angry Joe would say "Y'ALL DONE F*CKED IT UP"
no
I hate exit the gungeon
