[SIGMA fp] Minimum configuration for CinemaDNG shooting

- I thought of the minimum configuration for shooting 4KCinemaDNG with SIGMA fp.
Although it cannot be used for long-term shooting, it can be used for street snapshots without any problems.
Handheld video shooting with SIGMA fp is a battle against camera shake
Note: This is different from the normal usage of SSD. Use at your own risk. Please be careful when using this as a reference.

Hi! How about recording 1080p 12bit? Does it handle it fine or similar to 4k?
Thanks for your comment!
It is possible to record for long periods of time in 12bit if it is 1080p and not 4K.
Thanks for this information. I just bought this set up and clocked at 16 minutes at UHD 12bit 24fps. I was using it with the EVF-11 and so it’s possible removing the drive from the heat of the camera could help
Thank you for introducing the channel!
Cool, i was looking for this. Did you test long recordings yet? Like 60mins+? I would be also interested to see how the port could be protected. Sigma has its own port protector, would it fit?
And thank you!
Thanks for the comment!
The 12-bit DNG recording stops after about 3 minutes. It stops due to heat.
If I use MOV format, I could record for a long time. If you use the port protector, it seems to work if you use a straight-compatible extension connector
Thanks for creating this video. It's interesting to see a different SSD approach. As for shake, have you try Lumix lenses with OIS? I have found it useful for CDNG recording.
Thanks for your comments.
I have not tried LUMIX lenses. I would like to try them if they are effective for camera shake.
Maybe tear apart the shell for the USB adapter and storage drive, then put on the copper fin..
but you might want to just try an USB-C drive
Thanks for your comment.
I'll give it a try next time.
Hello, fyi you may be interested in the Tokyo UA-camr Virtual Japan as he has just setup himself with the Zoom F3. With his Sony full frame camera, but I don’t know which mics he is using. I found your channel a few days ago regards the Zoom F3 and I also have a Sigma fp camera. Just a hobbyist here. Regards. Laurie. New Zealand. 😊
Thank you for your comment.
I watched the Virtual Japan video. Many beautiful images and informative!
ooh nice
I tried a 1T flash drive. Camara didn't read it.
A possible cause may be that the adapter standard for the connection is not compatible with high speed. I am using a 10 Gbps connector
Do you have a link to the heat sink. Thanks.
The heat sinks were purchased from a PC shop with a suitable selection.
Thanks this was interesting to see. Laurie. NZ
