Manfrotto MT055XPRO3 055 Aluminium 3-Section Tripod w/ Horizontal 90 Degree Centre Column | Overview
I ordered this tripod yesterday! My new nikon p1000 on order and my binos will love it !
Enjoy them Wesley!
I just bought this. For the price (with head), you would expect the padded tripod bag from Manfrotto would be included but no, you have to purchase it for an extra $200. I think that's the only disappointing part.
Thank you ! Bought it ( You guys rock ! )
Thank you Mike, enjoy it!
Great video as always and thanks again today for all your help in the showroom
It's always a pleasure Dennis! Hope to see you again soon!
If the center column was another foot longer that would a very useful horizontal function
sorry, if you have the time... I don't get how you are supposed to mount a camera on when the centre column is horizontal. Is there another mount again (to make the head horizontal instead of vertical?) Or do you just use a ballhead with it? would really appreciate some help with this
Hi, the best would be just to use a ball head.
Can you help me ? I'm a bit confused.
What is the difference between 055 and 190 series ? which is better ?
also whats the difference in MK, MH and MT series in them?
Hi Gaurang, the 055 series is taller, sturdier and can take more weight than the 190 series so it all depends on your equipment and needs. MK, MH and MT are different codes used by Manfrotto for their products.
Ty for this video! Can’t wait for mine to come in ☺️
Thanks for watching! Congrats, it's a great tripod :)
Hello! Looking for a first tripod for my Nikon D5500 with 18-300 lens. But Im a little bit confused about this one. Is it possible to add more weight for better stability? Also I am thinking about buying Nikon D810A camera so I have to be sure that tripod would not fall over doing night timelapse in windy conditions. Thank you and have a nice day!
Hi, this is a great choice and you can add more weight on it for more stability.
Wow, you guys have grown!!! When did you guys get a showroom? I started buying accessories for my camera back in 2013, and at the time I lived in Miami. Great review, Thanks
We could not have done it without our loyal subscribers and customers! :)
Thanks a lot! Very use full
Thank you!
Hi! Does this come with a ball head or is this something I have to buy separately? I'm an amateur photographer!
Hi, you need to get a separate ball head for this tripod.
Also, what is "Power Lock" about it? I thought it's supposed to open all sections at once, but not sure why they all it power lock. It was not clear even in the Manfrotto official video. Thanks for any explanation of what makes the power lock special.
The "Power Lock" system: "Is a strong, ultra fast and ergonomic locking system that allows for quick, complete extension of the legs with operation of all locks, on each leg, possible with one hand."
Super job!!
Thank you Roxanne!
Thank you - very good .
my question is can you reverse insert the center column so you can keep the legs extended and lower the camera to the ground level and then use the lcd on the back of the camera as a viewfinder... The 3021 allowed you to do this from what I'm seeing on Google.
I'm not sure if that would work, but I would suggest purchasing the Manfrotto 055XSCC Shorter Center Column. I believe that using a shorter column would work better for what you are trying to achieve.
Does the camera attach directly to this tripod or does it require a separate head?
You can attach it directly but it is better used with a ball head between.
Hi thanks for your video. I just got a very good Manfrotto MT055XPRO3 with Manfrotto MVH502AH Professional Fluid Video Head. When I open it up and set it up on a perfectly level floor (already pre-measured with a builder's level) there is still a slight tilt of the camera (noticeable to the eye). Furthermore, when I remove the fluid head, I notice that the quick release slider part of the head that attaches to the camera is also slightly off level from the rest of the head, as if it is not a precise snug fit in the track, even when it is clamped tight. And it wobbles slightly, as if it's warped, when I rest the quick release slider on a level kitchen granite countertop. Is this normal? When you look at the setup the camera looks a little cockeyed sitting on the mounted fluid head. How level are good quality tripods supposed to be right out of the box, or is it assumed, that, no matter what, even on a perfectly level floor, you are supposed to level the tripod anyway. Being that I just got it and it was a pricey setup, I am thinking of asking for an exchange. What would you do?
We would recommend getting in touch with the seller for an exchange.
very good review, thank you.
Thank you!
Hi Izzy. You helped me with Cannon 5Div question nicely thank you. Now I just got this tripod you have. Are the MTO55x Pro 3 and the 055X Pro 3 the exact same tripod? It's confusing because even within the same camera dealers, i.e Adorama or other, both numbers may be used with and without the MT, or someone else like B&H only uses MT055xPro3 only with the MT. I want to make sure I was not sold an outdated version of the MT055xPRO3 (because mine does not say MT on the tripod (only 055 on the leg) and not in the included instruction sheet either. Does the leg of your tripod have a 055 large logo on it or a MT055 logo? I just got it this week. Thanks for any reply.
Hi there! As you can see in the video, the most noticeable upgrade on the latest version of the MT055xPro3 is the rubber grip on the legs for a better and safer handling. The leg has a the word "Manfrotto" followed by a "055" large logo. Always make sure to purchase your products from Authorized dealers. ;)
suite for canon 700d vs sigma 150- 600mm... possible to shake or fit
They will fit as the tripod can take up to 19.8lbs.
thank u
Thank you!
Thank you for the video very informative! Do you think that this is a good choice for Real State and architecture photography?
We appreciate your feedback Albert. This would be a solid choice for real estate and architecture photography. The tripod supports up to 20lbs, it is quick to set up, has a maximum height of 67", it's very sturdy and It could definitely handle a lot of use.
I have a Manfrotto with a ballhead( don’t know what number) and bought a Manfrotto 90 degree arm. But it didnt come with instructions so I don’t know how to put it on. How can I take off the ballhead?
Hello Creative Cheers of Fashion Laura Flohr. Typically if you tighten the pan lock mechanism on the ball head, you should be able to rotate it counter clockwise to remove it. If the head still won't rotate off, I would suggest looking underneath the mounting base where there the ball head is attached to. If you see any type of set screw, make sure to loosen them up to release the head from the tripod. You my need a small flat head screwdriver to complete the task. Let me know if that helps. Take care.
Digital Goja thanks a lot !!! Gonna try !!
Thank you for this! Your video helped me make a very informed purchase. #Subbed
We are glad to read that you found it helpful! :)
Would this tripod work with a slider and the 502 head?
It is compatible with them.
Thanks, is there any flex/bending that you know of as the head and camera reaches the end?
Hi, we did not notice any, Manfrotto products are of high quality so those things should not happen.
What is the maximum support weight...?
It can support up to 19.8lb.
Titre et description en français et vidéo en anglais ? Je suis le seul surpris?
Hi, UA-cam automatically translates all the titles, depending on your language settings.
Only for your vidéo...? And I have many vidéo in english in my list...
@@Mortylius UA-cam does it for all videos.
@@DigitalGojaUSA not for me. Only your vidéo for me
@@Mortylius It depends on the settings of each video, ours have the translation enabled.
What's your height? Just for reference!
Hello Shivam Pareek. Izzy is about 6'1".
B&H has some terrible reviews of this tripod. Has anyone experienced problems who has this product?
Hi, we did not have any problems with it, but we did not use it so much.
Then those ppl can go fuck themselves. This tripond and the 190x are the best tripods I've ever used. They are heavy, sturdy, the pro3 3-way heads grips the camera like fucking cement. I've been using them since 2014 and I couldn't be happier. Of course they are heavy and not really portable, so maybe that's why those idiots on BH were complaining. But it is what it is, you want sturdy cement-like tripod? get the heaviest one, it's a fucking tripod, not a rocket, simple rules: Large and Heavy = Sharp Images.
