Yay! I've been following Apollo and he's such a joy. Very happy for his mum and dad. Congratulations! The Daily Mail UK writes about Apollo the Grey today.
I can just imagine how weird it probably is for someone watching this with no knowledge of Apollo watching this guy put a sock on his head and say "What am I doing?"
He's so clever. And he can identify the hat gesture even if something else is used as a hat. Like, he knows what a bowl is, but if Dalton wears it as a hat, Apollo will call it a hat.
There was a video of it raining outside, and Apollo was in shock. He asked what it was and called it "metal," like he was trying to understand and describe the sound rain made.
He didn't make it it up his owner has a pair of shrek crocs that are called shocks so sometimes the bird mixes up shrek with shrock cause their similar words and sometimes he mixes them up with other words
@@duckonaroll1913 He is clearly picking and choosing which ones to separate and which to group, to be fair. Especially if you listen to him saying “bottle”. Sometimes he says a sentence, sometimes he just says the word, but Dalton and Tori didn’t really train him on “bottle” much differently than any other object. Of course, there is a risk that comes with making a sentence the default response, but if we’re being reasonable, I don’t think it’s impacting him much.
@@MatthewDunford-o7l Can also identify Shrek. But the way to find out if that's actual recognition is to give a rock Shrek ears, call it Shrock, give a plant Shrek ears, call it Shplant, and see if he reacts to a Shbell without being taught what it is.
