In part of the video Rich mentions "What are you doing when you get home from your job?" I can relate. A few years ago, I realized that I hated my job. I also decided to upgrade jobs. As a result, after a hard day of work, I would sit there at my desk at home hating life learning a new skillset. Every time I felt unmotivated and did not want to learn anything more for the night, I just remembered to myself "You hate your fucking job and you are going to be there forever if you do not improve" I then continued to study. So basically I used my hatred of my current situation to study instead of watch TV at night.
Damn, I need to change some things. I hate my job to...well I don't actually hate the work but I hate that I don't get paid enough to do it which is reason enough to make me resentful. Been fighting tooth and nail for four years only to get minor raises every time (the sad part is that I'm still the guy in our dept getting the best raises which is just pathetic)...anyways, my way of dealing with it is that I go home and lift weights and then I cook and drink and watch TV/UA-cam and go to bed (sometimes play video games too). I also waste my weekends away drinking with the boys at the bar or drinking at home all day (nothing out of control but just sipping beers all day)...I literally don't do anything productive with my "off time" besides putting a lot of hours and mental effort into weight lifting and eating right (besides the booze). It's just a decision. I think I feel like I deserve to indulge in simple pleasures after work because I work my ass off and don't get paid enough so somehow I'm earning my night at the local with the boys or the 2-3 brandy than I drink on week nights after I work and go to the gym. I seriously need to do what you're doing. Focus my hate/resentment about my salary into leveling up and moving on. Part of it I think too is that all us guys in our department bitch and complain together and bond with each other over it. That can be addicting in of itself, if not pathetic. I actually try to make it a goal not to talk about work when we go out but it always ends up coming up. Rich always says that if you're the smartest guy in the room, then you're in the wrong room. I've felt like the smartest guy in the room for about the last 2 years now and I'm just not making any effort to change things. At least I have a great sex life with my wife and have a good home life with my kids. And tbh, between my wife and me we make plenty of money to live comfortably but I'm still not happy with my situation. I want to really move up in life. I'm 33 and in my prime. I'm physically stronger and look better than I ever have and I'm the smartest I've ever been. This is the time in life I need to be pushing and moving you know..
Props to Rich for selling a course. The reality is people who buy courses think there is an easy cheat code to being an entrepreneur, and that does not exist. All the info is free online or in cheap audiobooks if you really want it. The truth is most people are meant to be employees and do what they are told and a small majority can't stand the 9 to 5 and will work day and night to get out of that rat race.
I also recently took a package after 10 years in the corporate world. Well over 6 figure income, won all of the National sales awards, went to the company recognition events on the beach, etc. Still wasn’t fulfilling or truly challenging. Fortunately, I began my side hustle in real estate during the pandemic once I no longer had to commute everyday and could WFH. In year 2, I earned more on my side hustle than I ever did in 10 years in the corporate space. Took the package in Dec and now looking to maximize my extra time away from the 9-5. Love Rich’s content. I’d add a quote “Never beg for a seat when you can build your own table.”
I remember watching Rich's first performance on stage all nervous but you did a great job. This year you warned us for the jab and you did a great job. I shuold have listened, I took it anyway and got a small heart attack. I'm happy I am alive but never again.
Someone told you to stick an experimental drug in your vein for an illness you didnt have symptoms for, and you said yes. Why are people so careless? Its obvious it was a money making agenda, and now Bill Gates is STILL FREE after trying to monopolise the internets services, after having sex with underage girls and after coconspiring the pandemic. World is truly fucked if Billionaires can do all that with clear evidence and get 0 jail time.
Brothers, if at ever you feel down that you are not where you want/meant to be remember that you have a community of like minded men that are where you would like to be or at the same place you are. Reach out. Read up. Get those gym gains, and seek wisdom form men like Rich that genuinely give a f*@k and are leaving their mark on the world by doing so. God bless you gentlemen, God bless you and your family Rich, and onward 2023!!
I fall in the licensed profession category…. I saw my boss and friend get screwed out of his shares in the business. They got external managers who basically screwed over the partners with lower shareholdings in the company. After 20 years plus he was sacked as he stood up to the BS … he was offered 40cents on the dollar and has to wait 3 years to see the money they owe him. Mean while the new MBA management keep shrinking the business and end up in legal conflict with staff and shareholders. We have a new ‘diverse’ leadership group who are currently sinking a 100 year plus old business… it’s taught me a massive lesson.
Wished I had the advice from this guy or someone like it years ago. I've read the book and heartily recommend it - especially to young men 18-25 who are unsure of where to go and what to do in life. As Rich says "Do the WORK!"
I agree 100% with Rich on this but I do want to point some things out I’ve learned in my own personal experience. I make just over $22k per month. (That’s what I actually take home after paying a plethora of tax entities) Mix of investing, pension, va comp, rental income come and my salary as a firefighter medic. I think it’s hard to keep up the kind of motivation needed to get to that number if your talking $84k/mo. I live in one of the most expensive markets in the country in San Diego and live a very comfy existence. Also I would argue that a passive $10k/month is more valuable than a hard earned $84k/month. Lastly I would take a page out of Robert Kiyosaki’s book. Never say you can’t afford it but rather how can I afford it. Keep grinding gentlemen!
Understand that it will never be completely passive. Running any company is going to be extremely hard. The "easier" it is to do just means more competition down the line. You don't become an entrepreneur because it's easier than a 9-5, quite the opposite
@@alexanderfardella8709 the more passive you can generate income, the more effective it is. If you can make enough to cover your needs through interest or dividends, you have it made
@@Savvynomad225 Let's focus on income before we focus on passive. everyone wants the easy way out, must be very easy for the man willing to put in 12-16 hours a day to conquer
Entrepreneurs and 9-5 workers are symbiotic. Some people like to create a vision from the ground up while others are happy to punch a time card to maintain that vision. The brain and the heart are what keep the body functioning as do the entrepreneur and the worker to keep society functioning.
@@gregjohnson8285 The world will collapse, women's standards will go back down, fugly people will die off, and then men will once again have enough incentive to try to rebuild things in a world with skinnier, less demanding, less entitled, less Government subsidized women.
@@gregjohnson8285 BTW I was a self made millionaire by age 29 in 1999. Currently making $200,000 a year. We need to lower women's standards and men will naturally work harder.
@Kirk Patrick We are close to the same age. I started a business in 1999 at age 29!. I am married and have been for 29 years. I am a little out of that game with worrying about women. My business is 23 years old. Hard to sell the goose that laid the golden egg.
Chasing excellence means FOCUS! While everyone goes out and blows their money, FOCUS on your goals. Save your money and put it to work for YOU. Swag doesn’t build a business that buys you the bling that provides freedom to truly enjoy your life. Invest in the tools that provide income. Everything you want will come with time and hard work. People tend to be like water, they choose the path of least resistance. I learned the right thing to do is probably the hardest thing to do, but the reward is worth it. And most importantly, don’t surround yourself and listen to losers; they will drag you down. I love the fact that Rich encourages everyone to go for it. Losers are a crab pot, and winners encourage and lead by example. Don’t be jealous, get your own. The wealth, the babes, the freedom is worth it. I lost everything I owned in the 2018 lava flow in Hawaii and with good choices, hard work, and sacrifice, I took the skills I had (and learned some new ones) and created 3 businesses and now have revenue streams that provide everything I need and want. Believe in yourself, even when nobody else does, and realize most can’t see because they’re just mice on the treadmill. I wish you all success.
I'm thrilled you were able to rebound after losing everything in 2018, and I especially appreciate your emphasis on FOCUS. Saving money and putting it to work can be tough with a social network of friends who invite me out to do fun stuff every week. Saying no to paid activities more often could really help me make more strides in the new year!
I know a lot of people who never recovered from the lava flow, so I'm stoked to hear about people coming out of that better than ever. You run your business on the Islands, or did you move stateside?
@@evilratchet777 I still live here, right across from fissure 8 now! 20 years here, 10 in the Virgin Islands before that and have several blue collar trades under my belt. I lost everything and yet ‘when God shuts a door, he opens a window’ but it was hell in the hallway. 🤙🏼🤙🏼
If you can work full time and make $150K it's probably better to wait until that ends before you focus 100% on your side hustle. I built a business between jobs so I was comfortable. Don't quit your day job.
@@hessayli1 Its not about finding time it’s about making it. There’s 24 hours in a day and if you’re sleeping and working 8 hours, there’s 8 more hours left. Most people that say they don’t have time, are doing useless things that fill their time like watching tv or scrolling on social media. You have to create that time to work on your business by cutting out the bs.
I have a service business now in construction. Its VERY labor intensive!! STRESSFUL. The most I've ever made a year is $ 120k gross. You lose at least half of that in expenses. IF your gonna do it that way: 1. Read Rich's book. 2. Read E-Myth by Gerber. There are MUCH better ways to run a business. Getting the book, Co of 1. The Toyota plant in Huntsville labor force is mostly maintenance. Its about 80% machines.
Great Content Rich, Back in 2020 during the Pandemic I started a Gaming and Hookah Lounge, Which is doing extremely well. I now have a manager and employees now not at a Million in revenue as of yet but with good plan especially with plans to open another I should definitely get there.
Your dry sense of humor gets me everytime😂 couldn’t stop laughing when you said: “look Rich, Becky doesn’t like your use of pronouns so we need to send your ass to HR.” Had me rolling😂
Many years ago I started at a company that I thought was really good. I was talking about how great of an opportunity I felt it was. This guy that ended up being one of my best friends, but I really didn't know at the time, turned and said just remember, this is a great company to work for as long as you remember that you are just an employee. That hit me hard but I have never forgotten it.
I fell into the job trap for a while. It was only when a sharp entrepreneur tapped me on the shoulder and offered me an opportunity did I get off that hamster wheel. Never look back. Yes it's hard work, but there's no avoiding that whether employee or entrepreneur. For me it's well worth it and suits my authentic character. I'm a much better entrepreneur than I am an employee.
Men do not need this as a false and unrealistic goal. They need to stand in their own individual sovereign power. This is the key and the path to contentment.
9-5 jobs are not bad if you utilize the job for you not for the company. Learning valuable skill, networking with people opens up a lot of opportunities, less risk for failure you can be more aggressive. Just use your 9-5 to prepare you for the next thing….which may be starting your own business.
Well it's the New Years Eve where I'm at. I started a business late this year and I have been pouring all my money, time and energy into it. This was after quitting freelancing and then working on the tech behind the business fulltime. Well glad to say the tech is almost done and looking forward to accelerating it's growth in the coming year even as I sit here alone, broke as everyone around me welcomes the new year, in the most festive time of the annum. All I can say is that, It isn't easy but I know I'm gonna make it.
Rich love the book and your content. How does one join the channel or become a member to post to the live chat? It just said members only mode when I clicked on the live chat. Thanks
Hey Rich I run a small tree service out of Durham Region. (yes Durham Region). Appreciate the wisdom you've given in this video. This year I need to figure out how to use my income as leverage into another business. While profits are good, I need to stop exchanging my time for money.
A few years ago I heard of a study which was done to determine what annul income would be your peak of "Happiness". I do not know what metrics or scale was used to determine this. It appeared that people who earned $150,000 per year had reached the peak of their happiness. Those who earned above this amount were not any more happier. Of course, everyone is different, but this may be something worthwhile to consider.
This school is desperately needed in the west. MLM's have done a fantastic job with this education as well. We need more people teaching people how to think and to be self reliant. College education, even in business and finance, seems to do the opposite and beds to be unloaded before you can be successful outside of the corporate world. There's a theory that socioeconomic theorists talk about that says that an economic system only tends to pay for 3 generations. First generation thrives in it (our grandparents in the 50s were able to raise a family in a single income and still afford some luxuries), next generation needed to get the wives involved to maintain that lifestyle. This generation struggled even with the dual income. The age of corporate career employment has reached the end of the 3rd generation. It's at an end and a new economic system needs to happen.
@@CluelessEngineer that's a loaded question but if I had to bet, I'd put my money on what Rich is talking about. Entrepreneurship and gigs supplementing jobs and eventually taking over for them. Entrepreneurship had kinda been the one way to make money that had worked in almost every economic era and system. It's just difficult and risky.
If you are not in the financial market space right now, you are making a huge mistake. I understand that it could be due to ignorance, but if you want to make your money work for you, prevent inflation from eroding your savings, build generational wealth, and cultivate good habits and financial knowledge, you must be in the market.
NOBODY BECOMES A MILLIONAIRE OR BILLIONAIRE BY WORKING FOR OTHERS AND DEPENDING ON THEM, GOOD INVESTMENT BRINGS MILLIONS OF DOLLARS AND CONSISTENCY BRINGS BILLIONS. THE MARKET IS ALL ABOUT CRYPTO NOW YOU MIGHT WANT TO LOOK INTO IT
Investing in Stocks and Forex is the wisest, it's a place where millionaires and future billionaires come to get inspired. If you've not been involved in any you're missing out. Most importantly If you know how to trade you can make a ton of money no matter where you find yourself
As a beginner who don't understand how Bitcoin trade/forex trading really works and you really want to make profit from it. I will advise you to first start working with a professional broker
If you do happen to be a 9-5 guy and you’re just more comfortable with that life…. You can still make it happen Budget well, take on minimal debt load and put yourself in a position where you have cash left every month Learn the financial markets. Invest. Even with a safe investing approach… it’s a long game but you can still build a healthy net worth over time as things compound. Something as simple as dollar cost averaging into the SPY will slowly over time build your net worth Consider real estate. And if you don’t want the hassle of long term tenants… vacation homes in places like the outer banks for example is nice. You can buy a turn key property on or near the beach and have a property management company handle the weekly bookings and cleanup each weekend after the tenant leaves. You don’t have to take on the brunt of the load yourself if you don’t want to If you’re not the type to dive head first into your own venture… these are definitely more casual ways to get in the game. You won’t make a million next year, but over time it can definitely add up
The online revenue sources that I currently focus on: UA-cam advertisements (and all the other revenue methods that the UA-cam Partner Program provides), affiliate marketing under my videos, affiliate marketing on my blog website, online personal coaching, sponsorships for digital or online products. And sometimes some good profits while trading stocks. Although the latter one isn't a very long term reliable online income source. But it helps. I ran my own physical product business a few years ago. I sold sex toys online and it skyrocketed (we live in a individualistic and introverted society. That's why e.g. p*rn is so popular). But selling physical products like that is indeed what Rich said: a headache. Glad I learned that lesson at a young age. The focus is now completely on location independent and online revenue sources. You taught me a lot about business (and about female nature in particular!!!). So thanks for that. Do-the-work. Great advice and great content man!
You're completely right about the influencers and corporate managers. They all have to comply with the system. I formerly worked as a nurse in the University of California medical system. During my time there, I personally vaccinated the top corporate officers with flu shots, etc. These peoples' salaries were in the 7-figure range.
You're definitely not. Look at Robert Kiyosaki. He just got red pilled. It was sparked by his divorce of his 35+ year marriage and he is in his 70s. He admits to becoming beta. Never too late. For all you know, you're barely halfway through your time on earth.
You've got time friend. KFC...Colonel Sanders was 62 when he started. Grey Goose Vodka, Sidney Frank, 78 years old when he invented it. Future is bright. Never too late.
Great content Rich as always. I read your book cover to cover last year. I'm 57, divorced, live alone and rent a small house in Austin, Texas, Usa. I immediately ordered the book "Company of One from Amazon. I quit my day job driving a para support city bus back in May, I now returned to driving rideshare (Lyft) full time so I can make my own hours and hit the gym 5 days a week with my trainer 3 days a week with my gym membership. I'm behind on rent due to illness earlier in the year. I would like to take this course. Why is it not available for like 4 payments of $500? I have no credit cards or savings. (Only a debit card from my credit union.) Keep doing the work.
Eventually, however, now you can be self employed yourself. If you need an extra hand or assistance then hire a young "helper" which you will pay with the money from your own gigs. You have to crawl before you walk, then run. You've been crawling by working in HVAC for the past 6 years, time to get up and start walking.
Props. I started my hvac biz over 10 years ago. You can start small and yes, get a helper and hire subcontractors for your installations to free you up to sell more jobs. The toughest part is hiring and keeping one or two good techs. Be prepared to work 12 plus hours a day (when its busy) until you're able to hire an office person and a bookkeeper.
Rich, am 45 years old, self employed. I buy, sell and repair, in my field. Should I start an internet business on the side, or continue what I am doing, getting to the point where I hire employees? My guess is your answer is internet business, due to the scalability.
hey Rich hope your well would love to invest in your course as i truely believe you are investable, however unfortunately i dont currently have those expendable funds at this moment in time however i have invested in your book so i am on the path my friend.
Same excuse evvvvvery 9-5er uses lol. Quit spending on useless shit every week. WRITE DOWN EVERYTHING you spend on. You'll notice you buy a bunch of useless shit you don't need. It ads up. Most purposely ignore it because they don't have the discipline to sacrifice.
I get in arguments all the time that the house with a mortgage was just a tool to free you of your hard earned money. Long term most people lose money on a home. Would love to hear you chat on this.
So sad but true that having a $1m net worth in America is still relatively meaningless. Ongoing income stand always meant more than net worth but I know people that are in the top 1% in America that are complaining about the cost of living anymore.
Hey Rich where can I get a 1 on 1 advice/consulting with you, I am a young man 22 years old getting/ currently working on a business in the healthcare industry.
If you can be one of the 10% that succeeds, futures day trading is well worthwhile. The few successful traders make more thant he best surgeons spending a fraction of the thousands of hours and 13 years of training. It is like teaching oneself a very foreign language with no outside help. You have to be able to see and recall patterns, and spend countless hundreds of hours in simulated trading. Great self discipline and some intelligence are essential.
Bottoms line is once the rug gets pulled you are on borrowed time. If they control the medium of your “stored value”, your ability to secure, spend, accumulate is lower than a jabbed up brokee. You can not accumulate outside of the matrix. You pay for pleasure with pain.
Product-based business vs service-based business is a good debate. Had someone tell me the former is better as it's easier to automate. But then I guess the latter comes with less issues as Rich said. You don't deal with bs shipping, refunds etc.
I sell used volvo parts, and what rich is saying is dead on, this is not the business i will keep doing. its fun for now. but it will NEVER make F you money Thanks Rich. I plan to continue my film making career but how many people make F you money with that either lol Maybe I should find a niche and create content too. so much to think about.
hello richard, i am a big fan. i need your help and advice. i am at a crossroad in my life, i am 36, single, never married. i am struggling with women, and i have a hard time attracting females to my life. i have spent the last 8 years accumulating money and developing my business, in the hope that being successful and rich will help me attract a good mate. now that i have money, i dont know how to use it to attract females, it is just lying in my bank account. it really frustrates me, because i am "successful" now, but the situation is the same as before, no women. i am average looking, 178 cm, not overweight. what should i do ? buy an expensive car (i dont feel its me) ? also: what should be my path forward ? keep chasing money, i am afraid i will be over 50, and then it will be impossible to get women even if ur rich.
Personal story: I went into STEM. Specifically - electrical engineering, Silicon Valley. Pay has been good - I've been at or above the top5% of earners nationwide for the last 25 years. BUT: even though you can get fat salary, bonuses and stock options (back in the day), you still needed luck to be with a company that would have a stock pop and split (especially more than once.) I did, but again - it was uncommon. My goal was to get technologically savvy enough (takes a LOT of work and risk taking too) to get into or create a technology startup. PROBLEM: such startups are costly, and it only got worse over time (today a chip startup is extremely rare because it takes at least $30M-$50M to get it off the ground.) Getting access to that kind of funding takes connections that come from family in High Finance. Also - your chances of success are low, perhaps 20-1 against (Harvard says 10-1, but their study is flawed.) Lesson I learned: if you want to start a business, it's best to find one where capitalization requirements are very low and potential return very high. Yes, that's quite rare. But the internet is still a possibility in that regard. I'm not a believer in Rent Seeking. People who own rental property (commercial or residential) can obviously make money. BUT - the capital investment is astounding, especially because you need to favor more urbanized areas. Also, you are subject to taxation and, even worse, rent control. "Antifragile" was written by Nassim Taleb. Extremely interesting and insightful. He's a great contrarian thinker. "Antifragile" means something which prospers when times are tough. Think weight training - you stress your muscles, they get stronger. There are limits - if you lift too much too soon, something breaks or tears. Same thing with other stuff - you can stress something to the breaking point. But the principle stands regardless. Antifragile things prosper under conditions where fragile things break and robust things endure but can also be overcome.
If I had a dollar for every time someone around SF said they were making bank... "top 5% earners nationwide" LOL also top 1% most expensive place nationwide.
@@CommoditySC Despite the cost of living there, I was still well ahead of the game. It worked out. I don't live there anymore and absolutely do NOT miss the place. But I'm still making the same level of money. Things are good - the long hours over many years have paid off. It hasn't been easy, but in the end it's been worth it.
Fellow EE here... been in Hardware product design for a long time. Like you, I wanted to try to find a way to do my own tech startup but came to similar conclusions about insane levels of capital required and high risk of failure. Successful electronics startups these days are not only right place right time but also years and years of doing the right thing to be in that particularly situation... AND knowing the right people. For example, let's say you're a researcher specializing in a particular area of Applied Physics , and you've been working on ypur experiments for many years and you finally get a breakthrough and can patent the technology and build a company around it. That's not just something you can sit down and come up with in a few weeks or even months, and even if you would like to get started you may not even have access to the tools to do it. And having a good idea is only one piece of the puzzle, then you've got to raise the funding and know how to find the right people and yada yada... it's just very difficult. I'm not saying starting your own business in Hardware is impossible but it's 10,000 times more difficult than say starting a successful UA-cam channel.
"weird guy from the mail room who gives you the side eye because you're dating the girl he wants" Even if it's not a weird guy it's a guy you got on pretty well with, watch them turn on you in an instant even just because a girl they like wants you through no fault of your own. It's sad.
Don't generalise too much about borrowing. My property rentals have been very dependent on borrowed money. Gearing up has been very profitable. £20k in 1997 now worth over £1m in equity by drawing down up to 85% LTV to raise deposits for other flats & nice income for not much effort. End result 15 rental properties half paid for with rent. My tenants bought my properties 1:01:33
Been working for the same people for 2,5 years, got several promotions & bonusses along the way, that's why I stuck around. I make decent money (peanuts compared to you, still got a fair amount of excess money). Truthfully? I wanted to quit after a year, I tried to look for something decent, I couldn't find anything decent. Few weeks ago, at my previous workplace, this dude I know, he just quit, told the boss: look I've been complaining about problems for months, this whole even we did was shit, here's some online reviews that prove my point, bye, I'm out. This guy who quit, he's damn right and you are right too. ATM, I'm prepping to quit. I won't quit instantly, I'll stick around some extra time to get some final bonuses, but even if I don't find the next best thing, I'm moving on. I'd rather be without a job some some time than stay in this job that doesn't make me happy, my wallet is happy, but I am not happy and there's no way in hell that I can do this for another year. I took a risk with this job, but it wasn't worth, ok, I saved up a bit at least, this was always supposed to be temporary, I just stuck around for too long. It's not a 9 to 5 job, but I got plenty of free time, I make decent money, but that just isn't enough. I'm not free on days I want and workhours are too long, some periods of the year are just hell.
Talking about antifragility - many times politicians have wanted to implement digital identity access to the internet. So you have to get a license if you want to start an online business. The internet is free - for now - but we don't know how long it's going to act as an anti-fragile thing. In the end the most anti fragile is when you do have influence in a niche area in the physical world, with governments working for you.
It's amazing that people still feel the whole system will collapse if more people become entrepreneurs. Most people don't have the attention span, grit and intelligence to work for themselves. 9-5 workers are not going anywhere; might as well lay out the information for some people to take it.

You just being 58 and wanting to do something new are a huge inspiration to me. I'm 36,clueless and like to think often that I'm too old to start something new,a new career. Well guess what? Heeeeere's Johnny!
Would you recommend getting your degree if you're in the military? It's technically free so why not? I have about 80 credits would you think it's worth to finish it or start a new one. Ps it's a history bachelor's degree.
A lot of military degrees will not transfer to the outside. I took electronics engineering and physics and had 2 people in my electronics class that had just came out of the military and couldn't get a job because their training didnt transfer. Check on it beforehand. Some do and some don't.
The comments about taking more risks in one's 20s and 30s are spot on. Even if it's just a promising investment, like putting $1k into Bitcoin in 2010. The comments about college apply unless one needs access to heavy-duty lab space, which is a must for certain specialized areas of study in chemical, civil, mechanical, electrical, and nuclear engineering.

Countdown to your Coffeezilla video

Agree. It's really hard work. I haven't found a shortcut.
Yeah idk about real estate moving forward my guy
I'd love to shadow u for a week
I would love to talk to you about a small cap program paying up 800 percent
Good for you. All the best to you.
That is not a job requirement. You provide your own meaning. A job provides a service for which you are paid. Nothing more.
I remember watching Rich's first performance on stage all nervous but you did a great job. This year you warned us for the jab and you did a great job. I shuold have listened, I took it anyway and got a small heart attack. I'm happy I am alive but never again.

The challenge is finding the niche you can provide value doing and make it passive
Exactly
Understand that it will never be completely passive. Running any company is going to be extremely hard. The "easier" it is to do just means more competition down the line. You don't become an entrepreneur because it's easier than a 9-5, quite the opposite
@@alexanderfardella8709 the more passive you can generate income, the more effective it is. If you can make enough to cover your needs through interest or dividends, you have it made
@@alexanderfardella8709 Couldn't disagree more.
Rich, I have done this for 10 years, not many people are willing to work that hard. You have to grind to get it.
Why would men work hard if they can never afford a home and are 95% likely not to be found attractive by women?
@@bigneiltoo Whatever you say, you are correct. We all create our own situations. 100% agreed.
This guy that ended up being one of my best friends, but I really didn't know at the time, turned and said just remember, this is a great company to work for as long as you remember that you are just an employee.

And what do you propose the next generation/new economic system will be?
@@CluelessEngineer that's a loaded question but if I had to bet, I'd put my money on what Rich is talking about. Entrepreneurship and gigs supplementing jobs and eventually taking over for them. Entrepreneurship had kinda been the one way to make money that had worked in almost every economic era and system. It's just difficult and risky.

Consider real estate. And if you don’t want the hassle of long term tenants… vacation homes in places like the outer banks for example is nice.
You can buy a turn key property on or near the beach and have a property management company handle the weekly bookings and cleanup each weekend after the tenant leaves. You don’t have to take on the brunt of the load yourself if you don’t want to

Eventually, however, now you can be self employed yourself. If you need an extra hand or assistance then hire a young "helper" which you will pay with the money from your own gigs. You have to crawl before you walk, then run. You've been crawling by working in HVAC for the past 6 years, time to get up and start walking.

Also - your chances of success are low, perhaps 20-1 against (Harvard says 10-1, but their study is flawed.)
Lesson I learned: if you want to start a business, it's best to find one where capitalization requirements are very low and potential return very high.

If you have this wealth, the mindset changes from what you make per month…that’s just not how being incredibly wealthy works.
I will start a pressure cleaning business now. Such a great idea.
In Germany it's not possible to study and make money on your side hustle without paying a shit load of taxes, so it's not worth it anymore
Try to get out. I did and 10 years in, no regrets.
@@getdealtwithquick to get a starting capital I could easily make I have to make it without tax 😅
To obtain financial freedom, one must either be a business owner, an investor or both, generating passive income, particularly on a weekly and monthly basis. That's the key to living a financially stable life. This trick has never failed. I pray that anyone who reads this will be successful in life and put this basis to work and practice. Jessica Darrell have been a great manager, mentor and guide. Her support and advice have helped shaped my crypto trading career.
I get a lot of recommendations for Jessica Darrell from friends. Her strategy must be good for people to testify a lot about her.
For real she's very profitable

First rule of entrepreneurship according to Robert Kiyosaki is the ability to SELL.. NO SALES = NO BUSINESS! The biggest thing to overcome is FEAR of rejection,...
Great video Rich I have set my sights to be anti fragile this year Love your content so valuable
Thank you Richard❤ If it wasn't for you, I would have been a very sad 30 years old today; divorced with kids an ocean away that I could not even see despite me paying for them. You and Gonzalo, RIP, are the male role models I am emulating successfully.
What about buying businesses instead of starting them?
Rich, the new setup looks great
In my country we have so much trouble finding jobs that its a privilege to have a 9 to 5 job. Just to get by many of us have to work 10 hours for 30$ and we are not even registered as workers so we dont get social security. Where you were born matters and its really hard to have dreams and ambitions, they have crushed us entirely here.
this is some next level coping from a guy who can afford to play video games such as new world and has access to the internet
@@rise7056 I don't think coping means what you think it means, other than that I am weirded out by you taking the time to check my history and lastly how is this relevant with my comment about where you were born matters regarding the financial advices?

What about being a service plumber and working for yourself in Toronto GTA
Great advice. You can retire off of $1m in the bank at 7% return annual interest. Got a friend of mine who walked away with $700k in his Roth IRA at 35 just working in a restaurant
Be very careful with that strategy
Until the market crashes and he s broke
@@turkyturky6274 agreed!
The subtext of that photo of the people on the train or bus might as well be “Waiting To Die”. It’s very dystopian.
Thanks for taking the time to create such amazing content Rich! I agree with most of what you have to say...However, as a seasoned Entrepreneur, I only encourage those with the skillset and mindset to become successful entrepreneurs (maybe 3% of the population) to do so...otherwise, it can be the fastest way to screw up your future. I totally agree with your comments on traditional education, it's a complete waste of time. Self-education and finding a seasoned-compotent and resourceful mentor is the way to go. I'd also recommend reading the book the E-Myth.
What’s the E-myth all about and why do you recommend it?
How can someone know if they fall into that three percent or are capable of getting there?
@@our.secret1130 The E-Myth is a foundational book for all Entrepreneurs...I'd also recommend, Marketing Made Simple by Donald Miller. Both are excellent reads.
@@stevecory6503 putting it on my list. Huge thanks for the help
Living in Australia, 58 and starting again from zero after supporting my failed marriage partner to a successful business. Had a franchise in the past for 10 years, and been self employed for almost 10 years as a relief manager. Unsure what my next move should be. How applicable would this course be as my next move?
Hoping to start something working from a laptop
You just being 58 and wanting to do something new are a huge inspiration to me. I'm 36,clueless and like to think often that I'm too old to start something new,a new career. Well guess what? Heeeeere's Johnny!

Well done, Rich.
Totally agree with the $10 million figure.
And that’s not fuck you money.
Good material. Thank you.
