Greatest "little" invention for the backpack hunting industry. I LOVE my Slik Sling. Mine went on a MR Metcalf with tons of frustration but the video helped me. Its the best, yet most inexpensive, piece of gear I need.
Ordered 1 for the wife. I could see right away after 1 scouting trip that I needed one for myself. So ordered another. Absolute game changer! If you hike long days in steep back country terrain. And are using Trekking Poles. This will change your life. Being able to use your hands and utilize the Trekking Poles properly made a difference.
Ordered 4 to Canada and things got mixed up in the mail. Josh was great to deal with and got things straightened out. Will post again after field testing.
I am just getting into multi-day hunting and am trying to get the most use I can out of the Osprey backpack that I already own. Once it's worn out, I will probably make the investment in a hunting pack. In the meantime, I am curious if anyone has experience in making this sling work on a non-hunting specific pack, such as an Osprey? Thanks!
Hey Laura, this is Josh with Creative Outdoors, the sling will work with non hunting packs as long as it has a waist belt, vertical webbing on the shoulder strap and an area to attach the barrel webbing.
