I appreciate a man (and woman) who is not afraid of hard work and who finds the easiest and cheapest way to carry out his work projects. Kudos to both you and Hillary. Oh, I also appreciate a person who can laugh at himself. 👍🏻👍🏻
Pete, you are that rare combination of human who actually employs the ability to reason, problem solve and take action. All the while remaining calm and kind. It’s what’s most lacking in the world today. Please carry on for many years.
Pete, my wife made a great analogy to you and your channel last week: she said that you remind her of Fred Rogers. A calming influence, with common sense and enjoyment of the simplicity of life at the forefront. I can’t think of any better compliment that anyone could give. I think that’s why your videos are so popular.
Pete... you should tell your wife, "I dont care how many chicks show up at this farm, YOU're the most beautiful by far!" Love your vidos, my friend! I wish the people on the farm i grew up on were half as kind and gentle as you! Keep up the good work!
Thanks for sharing your "Wonderland" with all of us. You both are so kind to your animals...and you create a calming atmosphere for your audience. Love your farm!! 😁
Pete, your wagon for transporting and unloading the brooders is simply amazing. Hillary your gentleness the way you handle the broader is so nice to see. You both are very respective of all your animals. It's a big reason IMHO of why your channel is so successful.
Yes, I agree. It is very noticeable how much you both care A LOT for your animals...and they return the favour. It is very noticeable and healing to watch. Marcel from Saskatchewan.
I love you, channel Pete and Hillary!! I love seeing the two of you working together on the farm. My mom and dad would the same way... if it was a job to do they shared it to get it done quicker. I agree with you. Also Pete on Keeping things simple. I think wisdom comes with aging and I know for myself I have definitely simplified my life in the last 15-20 years…. just for example when I had guests coming for a meal or weekend, everything had to be perfect and everything had to be beautiful and artistic on the table when I served the food and so forth. I realize at some point I was exhausting myself unnecessarily because everybody else was visiting and laughing, and I was cleaning up and working or getting ready for the next round. I don’t do that anymore. I might at Christmas time, but for the most part throughout the year, I keep my meals simple and I’ll tell you what, Pete I want you grilled those pork chops and less than 10 minutes and I’m thinking that’s how I should be food in a short amount of time. God bless you both and we’ll see you next time on a wonderful video… By the way, Pete, I love to laugh at your jokes…. Apollo - G.😀❣️😁 ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I agree with you on dandelions, I like them on my property and so does my cattle. I use the back rub as well as the fly traps around my waterer. I enjoyed watching, nothing better than putting your cows on fresh grass, keeps them content. Thanks Pete, have a great day!
Good morning Pete. We just love watching how well you and Hillary work together. As always thank you for taking the time to make the videos you make, we enjoy them all.😊
The cows must be in heaven. Dandelions to gorge on, flies alleviated, and the weather is not too hot. I noticed the little chicks going to town on the dandelions also. As for the dad joke... Pete, you're best in short form. 🙂 Love the channel, adore you and Hil.
Good evening, Pete and Hillary, working to hard. All your animals look really good and healthy. Unfortunately, I don't like dealing with Dandelions or Flies. Have a great day-
Hillary, my hat is off to you! Your physical strength is very apparent in hauling, lifting and sorting those bags of chicken feed, not to mention everything else you do in the employment of their care. Good work!
I just realized that you are the new Johnny Carson for the nation but on Sunday morning. A calming light hearted dose of medicine needed by Americans that are overwhelmed by the stresses heaped upon us daily by the left. Thank you for salving or sores
Lol Pete, when my husband was alive, God rest his soul, we would go places where people knew us, grocery store, etc, he would tell people that he didn't know me and our kids! He would say he just picked us up on the side of the road (all in good, clean fun). Of course everyone knew who we were!😂
I remember you guys having the feed deliveries for the chickens and the pigs. You guys have down size quit a bit! I like how you guys are balancing work and personal time.
Meat birds, very satisfying process. They have a wonderfull life for 8 weeks. They provide us with special heart felt dinners . Bless their hearts 🐔🐔🐔🐔🐔
The first batch of chicks are out and will be putting on weight. The new season is now underway. I enjoy this so much this time of year as you can see growth and replenishment that starts off with a bang and the Weber grill. Thank you Hillary and Pete.❤
I've found over the years that if I aerate the pasture once every four years it helps our fields tremendously with yields. Lime every third year. Multi mixture fertilizer once in a while. We add manure to our fields so we only use commercial just to even put our fields.
I'd bet that many of your viewers are saying "Salt potatoes??". Also dandelions are an early and favored source for honey bees and the big boys tell me that dandelions also make a decent wine. Your channel is terrific!
My Mom went to Cornell and we used to go up in the summer when I was a kid. One of the highlights was the Chicken BBQ at the Big Red Barn. That was probably 45+ years ago but I can close my eyes and still see the smoke coming off the grills🍗
Another enriching class from Prof. Pete and Hillarie par excellence! Everything just clicked on this video, Pete. Nicely done! It was fun to come along with you as you set out the broilers as you have yearly. Every year you hone your skills just a bit more and it's always a fun watch. Thanks for bringing us along and I for one would have bought one of your grain scoops - a good honest design! Take care...
Pete, I think what you are onto is that the die of life is made up of many sides. Balance, Happiness, and Contentment are all sides that make up the overall well being of a persons life. I reckon there are more but we come across them in time or by heeding the wisdom from those trying to share the knowledge. Thank you for sharing! Addendum: I also have a favor fencing pliers. I thought the joke was so bad it had killed your tripod.
I liked watching Hilary put the Chickens on grass 'what's this'! I like greens, I think they do too! nice team work! Dandelions are beautiful! and liked your conversation of the plant.
Umm..We will be calling you Pete soon ..NASA...Lol😂😅😅 Never A Straight Answer club. Good one Pete.. If a big light shows up in your pasture.. The welcome mat is out.. Oh, yeah that lady that keeps following you around...Is big keeper..
Thank you for posting your waterers and your chicken tractor dolly. I spent around 4 - 6 hours last week trying to find some photos or videos of a dolly design and couldn't find any like I remembered seeing of yours that I wanted to duplicate. We got another week or two before the broilers go out side so it should be ready for the season. Thanks for the video.
We are getting the kids ready to end the school year and a perfect video to show to get them excited about what they'll be doing in the fall, especially since we ordered their chicks today! Some of them screamed ( as usual) when you once again electrocuted yourself. It's really cool for them to see you and Hilarie setting up the chicken paddock just like they do! The alien joke? Mercy, the groans... But we're still your extended classroom! Blessings on you both!
Pee and Hilary, Thank You Both for taking along on your active work schedule of setting up the 3 week broilers on the grass to finish them up in 6 weeks. Electrifying the perimeter fence to keep the racoons and foxes at bay. Good pasture management with the cattle works great and soon the calving will begin in earnest. Enjoy your week from Pete from New Brunswick Canada
Hi Pete & Hilarie. Thanks for letting us hang with you on your farm. Dandelion greens are delicious! In my very young days Nonna would come to visit and we would walk down one side and back up the other side our country road picking dandelions. You have to get them before they flower. She was equipped with a long knife and my job was to carry the large bowl. She would circle the dandelion with her knife, pull it out, shake the soil off and toss it in the bowl. Once back home she washed them off outside with the garden hose. For dinner Nonna dressed the greens with a simple olive oil, vinegar and salt & pepper. When I tell people they can eat dandelion greens, they look at me very strangely. I use no chemicals on my lawn and love the greens. I’m wondering, isn’t dandelion wine made with the flowers? Thanks for sparking my childhood memory🥬🥗🙂
My wife has 6 hens and a rooster. She donates all her eggs except what we eat to the Helmer Lutheran Pantry. She has named them all and treats them like they were her children . I know it’s too late for Mothers Day but I’d buy one of those feed scoops if you would sell one. Name your price! I wait with bated breath for all of your videos. They make me feel good. Thank you.
"Idealism needs to be tempered with realism." Good words right there!
The value of this information is beyond compare.
Folksy. Direct. Simple. Served with authenticity and genuine caring.
I appreciate a man (and woman) who is not afraid of hard work and who finds the easiest and cheapest way to carry out his work projects. Kudos to both you and Hillary. Oh, I also appreciate a person who can laugh at himself. 👍🏻👍🏻
Watching and listening to the cattle grazing on the fresh green grass is such a peaceful- soothing experience for your viewers.
Pete, you are that rare combination of human who actually employs the ability to reason, problem solve and take action. All the while remaining calm and kind.
It’s what’s most lacking in the world today. Please carry on for many years.
U nailed it ,well put sir!
🎯❗
I like hanging out on the farm days
Covering the manure pile like last year was the second part of that no fly equation

Right on!

Mrs Hilary deserves a raise! 😂 . Love the way you both work together.
Thanks for sharing your "Wonderland" with all of us. You both are so kind to your animals...and you create a calming atmosphere for your audience. Love your farm!! 😁
never gets old you acting like you are getting shocked, always enjoy you and Hillary!!
♥️ drama free wholesome content
I love this couple. You such a beautiful inspiration to me here in Africa Kenya 🇰🇪 big love
Oh a new video! Time for a fresh cup of coffee and a sit down.
Pete, your wagon for transporting and unloading the brooders is simply amazing. Hillary your gentleness the way you handle the broader is so nice to see. You both are very respective of all your animals. It's a big reason IMHO of why your channel is so successful.

Good morning Pete. We just love watching how well you and Hillary work together. As always thank you for taking the time to make the videos you make, we enjoy them all.😊
I'm not the only one who thinks dandelions are tasty! And they are good for live stock to eat too. I actually wish I had more of them in my fields.
As we, you needed that jolt to better your day....from an alien Canadian neighbor 😂
I LOVE your viedos pete! You look happier these days and that makes me smile. You (and your family) are such kind souls. Keep up the good work!
Thanks Cory!
The cows must be in heaven. Dandelions to gorge on, flies alleviated, and the weather is not too hot.
I noticed the little chicks going to town on the dandelions also.
As for the dad joke... Pete, you're best in short form. 🙂 Love the channel, adore you and Hil.
That super c must be your most used tractor on the farm Pete someone did a great job restoring it its PURDY!!!!
Thank you. I love driving it, it's so handy for most everything I do and it runs so nice.
Man, I love this channel! It brings back so many memories of days on the farm in years, many years past.
Good evening, Pete and Hillary, working to hard. All your animals look really good and healthy. Unfortunately, I don't like dealing with Dandelions or Flies. Have a great day-
Good lookin’ T-shirt you got there, Pete! Gig ‘Em!
The two of you put in a lot of hard work on your farm but I can see its very rewarding for both of you.
Pete you and Hillary are such a good team… your cows are so happy 😊as always thanks for bringing us along 😁 we even look forward to your lame jokes 😉
Glad you’re liking the new chicken pens….and dandelions are the best!! They taste good in breads and pancakes 🥞
Thanks for sharing your day with us.
Hillary, my hat is off to you! Your physical strength is very apparent in hauling, lifting and sorting those bags of chicken feed, not to mention everything else you do in the employment of their care. Good work!
You have it down pat Pete. Routines are a blessing not a curse.
Hello happy Hillary, who takes such good care of "Hello I'm Pete.
That Hillary is such a good partner. You guys make such a good team. 🙏🏻✌🏻
I just realized that you are the new Johnny Carson for the nation but on Sunday morning. A calming light hearted dose of medicine needed by Americans that are overwhelmed by the stresses heaped upon us daily by the left. Thank you for salving or sores
Love it when "flies drop like flies," Pete! Great video! 🤗 Always a pleasure to watch. 👀❤
I really enjoy your channel Pete. I’m not a farmer but I like watching you & Hillary farm. Have a great week.
You’re an incredible human Mr Pete with a very blessed family.
Good morning Mr. Pete and Mrs. Pete
Great job.
Dandelion is edible, the whole plant! Anxiously waiting on your spring calves!! Enjoy Sunday mornings with Hilarie and Pete.
Thanks for the video Pete and Hilarie .👍
Pete, once i got the 'Dad Joke' I laughed so hard it hurt! 🤣 Keep them coming! 🤭
A very easy going and enjoyable video, in spite of the NASA joke. 👍👍👍
Lol Pete, when my husband was alive, God rest his soul, we would go places where people knew us, grocery store, etc, he would tell people that he didn't know me and our kids! He would say he just picked us up on the side of the road (all in good, clean fun). Of course everyone knew who we were!😂

We have downsized, except for cattle. I reached 55 last year and decided it was time.
Meat birds, very satisfying process. They have a wonderfull life for 8 weeks. They provide us with special heart felt dinners . Bless their hearts 🐔🐔🐔🐔🐔
Thank you farmer Pete and Hillary for all you do, these videos keep us motivated 🎉❤
Thanks again guys for another enjoyable video!
Hi pete i love red tractors and your restorations are magnificent keep up the great work
Nice pastures you have there, I won't take afence to it but you can. lol
Thanks Pete, have a great week!!!
Good looking broilers. They look lively.
That was such a dad joke even the camera couldn’t stand it😂😂😂
The first batch of chicks are out and will be putting on weight. The new season is now underway. I enjoy this so much this time of year as you can see growth and replenishment that starts off with a bang and the Weber grill. Thank you Hillary and Pete.❤
I love Pete's explanation of the "chicken or egg" conundrum: feed scoop.
Bird seed!!
The correct answer is the rooster 🐓 came first lol😂😅
Dandelion greens with hot bacon dressing was our spring go to at my grandparents house along with ham and boiled and browned potatoes
That sounds really good!
Lots of Arm Chair Quarterbacks who have never raised cattle or any farm animals. Pete I learn a lot from you and Hillary. Keep on keeping on.
Thanks for the video time, Pete!

Pick those dandelions and make wine! My great great uncle made the best dandelion wine around from what I've been told.
My Mom went to Cornell and we used to go up in the summer when I was a kid. One of the highlights was the Chicken BBQ at the Big Red Barn. That was probably 45+ years ago but I can close my eyes and still see the smoke coming off the grills🍗

Pete! What are salt potatoes?
Keep those dad jokes coming!
Thank you to you both😎

Ty for the video having a bad few days this picked up my spirits ty all so much
Love your jokes and videos with Hillary as well.
I laugh every time you pretend to get shocked. It reminds me of my dad. He would do the same thing.
The right mix, "when you know then you know". Some other channel shared the same words. 20:20 👌
Wow, even the camera groaned at that one😂😂😂
Haha! Good comment!
Pete you're a hoot. Hillary is a gem. ❤️

Y'all are living the dream, keep up the good works
Thank you for sharing Just a few acres farm daily chores.
It’s comforting to see a guy like you, you know, principal architect and all; you and I do spring hoses the same! 😅

The way the camera fell over during his alien dad joke, right as the punch line struck is pure comedy gold😂

Good job guys and Ladies
Funny how you mentioned "Cornell Chicken BBQ sauce" as my wife and I were just talking about that yesterday. Love that stuff! Signs of Summer!
I'm on my way on a slow trek thru NE to Nova Scotia. Was going to DRIVE DELAWARE WATER GAP, but may have to skew west to find some of that bbq sauce!
@@allentowngal4769 I make my own. Just Google and try it out. Enjoy!
Thanks Pete and Hilary. Enjoyed the video. "Apollo-gee"! Terrible! HaHa.
I love your philosophy on life. Thanks for sharing and I'll see you later.
Loving the tshirt! Texas A&M WHOOP!! 😅
Love watching and listening to the cows enjoying their Dandy lions, I always called them that. Yes, I have picked them and eaten them with fiddleheads
Pete, as everybody knows, farm work for chickens and cows keeps u guy's staying young. The body might show the age, butt boy is it a ride.
Don't let the Jibber-Jabber get you down Pete.
Lol, I made the same grain scoop, in grade 8 shop class, for my horse feed. I don't know where it went but I loved it. Mmmh BarBQ...nothing better!
The Chickens have their "Eat more beef and pork!" Signs out again lol😅!!
Just the simple life - Great Video
Good to see you as always!! Have a great day Pete!!
Pete, we enjoy watching your video and having our coffee. I appreciate you sharing the farming life with us. Thank you.
Nicely done Pete !
