    My theory is that all these specials are the Toymaker just wanting to play with his favorite toys again. The first special really solidified this for me, with it being a FOURTH Doctor story, but now with 10 in that role. It’s just like a kid pulling out all his favorites to play with one last time … and that being similar to RTD’s situation, getting to play with his favorites again, I think it all makes sense.
    Really enjoyed the first special, but very surprised that many of the scenes we thought might be part of that second special were in this … making me think we know even less about Wild Blue Yonder than we thought we did just a couple days ago.

      Yeah! Theres several moments that feel exactly like that scene from flesh and stone with future 11, I'm not 100% sure but it feels almost like things were too easy? In a suspicious way.

      Well yeah I figure this is all a "prank" by the Toymaker because 1. The 14th Doctor's clothes changed along with his appearance and 2. Donna spilling coffee isnt going to set the TARDIS ablaze. I think the Toymaker is drawing them in.

    Notice also Rose, Donna's Daughter specifically makes toys. Something tells me Toymaker has orchestrated the temporal postponing of metacrisis, but it's not actually gone entirely.

    My prediction is that it'll be a Nostalgia Trap for the Doctor and Donna, letting him keep his face and her memories if they agree to become his toys, would be a good metaphor for trapping tge show in a cycle of the same characters being made to remake stories for eternity, which ends with them making peace with the old days being gone and decide to look to the future with Ncuti taking control. In regards to the Meep, I think it would've been interesting for the Doctor to remember the original comic story and wonder why he's reliving old adventures.

    I honestly don't believe any other Doctor will be showing up now apart from as some sort of archive footage. Although I think 14 & 15 will meet each other at that Regeneration scene.

    Loved the special, ending felt a bit rushed but I figure this is the toymakers doing, I think the trap for the doctor is if he stops the toymaker, Donna will die… ‘I don’t know if I can save your life this time..’
    Dalek Carn said ‘this would always have happened, I only helped, Doctor’ - I like to think he seen this future when he went into the time lock unprotected

    I have a theory and it REALLY makes sense and answers the a big question.
    When The Doctor and Donna have their heart tto heart scene in the new T.A.R.D.I.S, Donna asks him 'Why this face again?'. He shrugs it off and it withdrawn for the rest of the conversation. Even being coy (in the 10th style of doing so) when she says 'Have some friends'. But he says something absolutely crucial in a almost 'odd' way of saying it.
    He pauses and tells Donna 'I really do remember it tho. All those times with you' (I am paraphrasing a bit here). Then he says 'It killed me. It killed me. It killed me.
    This is the key!
    Donna and Rose have both just let go of their meta crisis. The part of 10 energy that lived in them.
    It killed the Doctor twice.
    14 is here as 10 as the energy was linked and could not move on into the Timelord afterlife (as shown in 13's finale) while it was split.
    10 lost his life and he regenerated. But he had to return to retrieve the rest of his 'soul' so to speak. As soon as Donna and Rose let go... 14 has begun recycling his regenertion (almost like a "Let's do this again, but with everyone this time)'.
    He knows it's coming. He figured it out as soon as he and Donna began their moment of remimiscing.
    We have two episofrs left and just like his last regeneration, it's taking it's time to cycle through the process, but completely this time around.
    This shuts the door on the Doctor Donna, completely and is also his trump card agaist The Toymaker as he has the upper hand in knowing he is going to change / die.
    In comes 15 and Seaon 1 (Disney Era) begins without having to tread over the same ground again.
    But like I said, it's just a theory lol

    Would be really neat if, like you said, the Giant Toymaker String scene is the reveal that he's been influencing the Doctor and Donna's actions; A whole flashback montage including the coffee drop scene where we learn that certain actions they made were done by the toymaker pulling their strings. Something about an otherworldly force controlling you with no way of actually knowing you're being controlled is creepy to me.

    I think it would be fitting if "The Boss" was another Doctor Who character who first appeared in the comics. A crime boss who was first seen in the Doctor Who Magazine comic strip "The Moderator" named Josiah W. Dogbolter. He is kinda like kingpin from spiderman except he's a frog man.

No disrespect to any actors who followed him but it's as if he's never been away. I'm almost sad we're only getting this for three episodes after all the hype. It would be nice to see a full season run with maybe Donna stepping aside and the new Rose as main companion. Really enjoyed watching this. Looking forward to the episodes to come

    The 3 specials are alien TV shows for a species that idolises the Doctor (a species from 10's era). They are orchestrated by the Toymaster. The Doctor is not aware, like the Truman Show. RTD will use this to create a meta commentary about toxic fandom and how audiences shouldn't expect to dictate what a TV show does.

    Oh, and also, perhaps the episode will be similar to Journey to the Centre of the TARDIS where 11 and Clara were pursued through the endless maze of corridors and rooms by the villains, only this time it will be the deceiving robots we see on the poster, who are dispatched by 15's TARDIS to take care of the paradox which has been unleashed by 14 being inside the 15th Doctor's TARDIS alongside Donna, though that's just my theory. Perhaps the robots go rogue though and malfunction so that instead of harmlessly returning 14 and Donna to the earlier timeline where their TARDIS has ran off to, they seek to kill them which Donna, 14 and 15 must team up to defeat!

    my belif is that the toymakers story will be a continuation of the original toymaker story. in short the doctor escaped what was meant to be his destruction in episode 4 of the celestial toymaker. the toymaker in his own words is a bad looser. he always destroys the destroyer. given the natural process of destroying the winner failed i assume the toymaker is out to complete the destruction himself. he may put donna in a game to lure the doctor. the toymaker is very relaxed and due to his immortality he knows he will always win with enough time. i assume he has been playing in this time so far and he believes he has improved at games or at least his commands. (in the original story the toymaker was never playing he just commanded the pieces and they auto played to perfection in the set of moves he commanded. given it only responded to his voice the doctor did a really good impression and it obeyed him leading to the doctors victory.) he may even put the doctor into another game that forces the doctor to loose and limits his regenerations and forces him towards the end of the cycle. (it would also be a good call back to what they were going to do in the original toymaker story) and that could lead to us have ncuti. ncuti seems to have a more major role than we are expecting. especially being teased in the trailers as much as he has. (even seeing his doctors outfit in the offical trailer.) if it is any one of these it would still be in line with the toymakers character which i am really hoping they dont make him your generic doctor who baddie because he is so much more than that. and one of the reasons im worried is it seems hes more murderous than his original counterpart. the original toymaker was out to see you loose your life but not exactly die. he was there to make you his toy if you win you did die and were techneclly free to go but the toymaker didnt let you have a fair chance of survival either way. you either lost and became his toy forever or won and died. there was no way out of techneclly loosing who you were. he was also very subtle on movement usually only walking and keeping his hands in similar positions. the only other movements were usually snapping his fingers when using his powers. and his calming voice and calm movements are all but gone so far in the new toymaker. even in the calmer lines there is still so much energy in neil's toymaker that i am still very worried and really hope they dont use that energy and spoil the character. (and the toymaker did have a beard. very much like a goatee in the nightmare fair audio drama)

    I did love TSB, it was nice to see it looks like WBY will be a truly terrifying episode and I cannot wait to see it next weekend, plus seeing Matt Smith back as 11 to team up with David Tennant's 14 would be awesome because 11 had such great chemistry with 10 in TDOTD, I loved it so much. But if Richard E. Grant's Shalka Doctor makes an appearance that would be cool to see as well, and maybe 14 could mistake him for being the Great Intelligence before he tells him who he really is, that sounds really fun. I do think that maybe 14 meeting Ncuti Gatwa's 15 is a strong possibility as well though, and it could be towards the end of his life as he is about to regenerate again so yeah. Maybe 14 asks 15 to tell him what happened, but 15 insists that he does not want to know or it will break him, 14 keeps on demanding to know though until he finally gives in. What 15 tells the 14th Doctor about the cause of his upcoming regeneration is something so horrific that it makes him scream out in anger and bang his hands against the wall which we see in the trailers as you know. So now the Doctor will know what happens in the future, and maybe this is why 15 is crying in the Christmas special footage because he is still shaken by the information as well as knows the awful fate of his current self which cannot be stopped. Sounds very dark I know, but I agree with The Confused Adipose that any one of those theories do sound plausible and could happen, but who knows, we shall find out in the coming weeks!

    I wouldn't look top deep on "the boss". Its probably the Toymaker. The sort of people who make, or comment on, these videos are a small slice of the target audience. The bulk of the audience won't know who the Toymaker is, so any misdirection is lost.
    I do hope there is more classic series reference than just the Toymaker and Mel appearing, that doesn't necessarily require multi-Doctor but it does seem more a "Russell returns" special than a 60th so far.

    Honestly imo the Star Beast was a proper adaptation. It was sumn that already exists. RTD might’ve had some limitations which coulda caused tha lack-luster u guys mighta experienced. What I’m tryna say is please hold on just a sec guys. Don’t judge just yet PLEASE. Wild Blue Yonder is purely RTD. No restrains, ORIGINAL script, full thought put into it.
    This is where it starts. The Star Beast was an obvious regain to consciousness. Reclaim the vibe of the show and setting of this whacky 40 minute adventures to Doctor Who. Back when cosmic horrors happened in 8 minutes then fixed itself by the end of the episode. Naming a few like that could include, The Unicorn and the Wasp, Tooth and Claw, 42, School Reunion, Idiots Lantern.
    With Wild Blue Yonder being a horror means that things are turned UP. Out goes the cringey dialogue of last episode and straight into action. We’ve all seen Series 4s “Midnight.” That was penned by RTD instead of a corny game-show episode. RTD made the conscious decision to make a horror for a filler instead of his original intended idea.
    I think I’ve heard more news about this “Wild Blue Yonder” than I have about any other part to this 3 part story. And ironically it’s the one episode that has had no one from the outside witness. It’s so secret that not even the trailers reveal anything. Remember there’s also the cryptic teasers showing reversed themes, David’s OG TARDIS, etc.
    Something tells me Russell planned all of this from the start. Something is happening behind the scenes and I feel we’re being laughed at jumping to conclusions and attempting to theorise things…

    Doctor Who doesn't need a "Thanos" or need to be anything like marvel ... We already did that big threat with Davros (who Joe can no longer be utilised) we have had the silence as an overall threat too , the timelords themselves also as a major threat twice and the master/missy too ... We just need something good and The Star Beast was just absolutely meh an hour of no actual story scale or stakes was just bizarre to endure last night weakest post Regen story since twin dilemma ... Bar the meeps mannerisms and bar some nice Donna rose moments this wasn't a good episode ...tennsnt isn't a fave doctor if mine and sadly it showed last night , Whittaker I felt was missing massively there which shows her charm I adored so much .... Capaldi and Smith are my faves too ...tennsnt just doesn't connect the same way

    “If the [first] Doctor and his companions had been able to look outside (the scanner was not on) they would have been able to see that the TARDIS was standing in the middle of a large octagonal room, not unlike the interior of the TARDIS itself. From each angle, lines stretched to the centre of the room. The TARDIS was standing at the exact point where the lines intersected. ”

    Maybe the Doctor should meet God as he's already met the Beast (Devil)? Refer to the Most High.
    However, another being with two hearts seems a suggestive line. The Boss obviously has a predilection for dual cardiovascular systems. I really hope it won't be Rassilon or Omega.
    Why would the Celestial Toymaker have a TARDIS? He is an Eternal and not a Timelord?
    Maybe the Boss is actually the Psychic Sun entity like the one in the Star in Rings of Akhenaten? Or maybe the Beast that is trapped in the black hole? Imprisoned but trying to emerge. Maybe through a wormhole?

    The boss is 100% the 15th doctor, you’ll never see it coming, I think he’s playing mysterious behind the scenes because he knows he’s the actual next doctor. Not saying he’s the villain he’s just using villains to get the 14th doctor where he needs him to be so he can finally take his turn as the Doctor

    My prediction is that the boss is the Toymaker/Valeyard. They turned the Meep's sun pyscadellic somehow and will do the same to our sun in The Giggle (hence Kate's line).
    And somehow we will need River Song's help as well, hence why she expected the doctor to recognise her and know about various later events she mentioned in the library. Eventually the doctor will have to regenerare having already lost Donna again.

    What an awful special. Meep is now the jar jar of Dr who. Very annoying and stupid. No respect for the Dr Donna narrative. Tennant and Tate are just nostalgia bate. RTD has lost his mind. Dr Who is still dead.

    • @zocialix
      @zocialix 11 місяців тому

      You quite literally have no idea what you're talking about. First off we all got fooled by Jar Jar Binks in Star Wars being a sithlord and dark side equivalent to Yoda, he's a foil to him in every way. (Hene why it's he that's The Phantom Menace. You can literally see him force manipulating dialogue of several characters with him in the background lip syncing) Second of all coming back to Doctor Who, Beep the Meep's dialogue is almost exactly like the comic and the people who originally wrote them had hands on with the episode production process.

    • @Brandonw55
      @Brandonw55 11 місяців тому

      @@zocialix the comparison was to assert that introducing meep into Whovian canon is as annoying as jarjar of star wars episode 1. The fact RTD reused someone else’s content (a comic no less) on the first episode that was suppose to “revive” a dead show is another indication he’s lost his mind.

    • @zocialix
      @zocialix 11 місяців тому

      @@Brandonw55 The only comparison you could make is that both Beep the Meep and Jar Jar Binks were very successful at pulling the wool over peoples eyes with their seemingly bumbling nature. Furthermore, you do know the point of a Doctor Who ANIVERSARY special right, it's to incorporate older elements and implement it with the new. This is the same for 50th Aniversary (Which I don't like as much for what it did to the Time War and how it undermined how psychotically desperately evil Time-Lords became towards the end) with multiple Doctor's crossing their time-lines and use of classic monsters such as Zygons. Beep the Meep is a classic Doctor Who villian from a comic of Tom Baker's era that's been finally brought to life on the television screens with masterful use of practical and CGI effects. This is like spilitting hairs and asking why do showrunners bring back other classic Doctor Who characters such as The Master and Daleks or reinvent the Cybermen which Rusell T Davies knocked out of the park, why not?

    • @Brandonw55
      @Brandonw55 11 місяців тому

      1. Jarjar in star wars was universally hated to the point the actor contemplated suicide at the time. Meep was similarly stupid and annoying. 2. The 50th involved the best marketing and writing and was the climax of the modern Who paradigm. Several highly followed Whovian commentators (that aren’t a shill for the BBC) have stated similar statements about this first special being cow manure compared to the glorious 50th

    • @zocialix
      @zocialix 11 місяців тому

      @@Brandonw55 Yeah, cause the Star Wars fandom is full of internet obssessed weirdos that drive people to hurt. Truth is you got duped by Jar Jar Binks, you can tell in hindsight he was meant to be a foil to Yoda and would've explaind why Yoda reacted in kind to first meeting Luke. As Lucas said it rhymes like poetry. We were just to stupid to see it. Meep was similarly devious in his perceived stupidity and seemingly harmless apperance.
      The 50th special of Doctor Who was wasted on focusing too much on a single Zygon whilst randomly flipping through one moment to the next till eventually Time War is reversed yet no set up to showing how Doctor's all knew what to do at that specific point in time (It could've been excellent if more was done to set this up but it just comes across as under developed to me instead Moffat opts to use that time to focus on a joke 10 made in End of Time Part 1 about being married to Queen Elizabeth... Least the Meep's ship acts as a reason for Doctor-Donna to follow.), problem with a lot of Moffat's stories is they don't give time for a story beat to breath. They skip along in order to quickly get to the next plot point without regards for the potential consequence of the broader narrative that's being told. Characters are rarely developed and he creates so many plot threads of which the large bulk of them don't even get resolved clearly. (Such as was crack in the wall from Tardis exploding or Time-Lords trying to make contact with The Doctor to give him more regeneration cycles? Seems to be whatever Moffat wants x plot device to be in spur of the moment the further he wrote himself into a corner. Also the plot detail of Trenzalore essentially being The Tardis manifesting a graveyard is just dropped in the Time of the Doctor. Matt Smith's final episode doing him an absolute disservice.)
      Literally my favourite episodes of Matt Smith and Capaldi Era are from writers that weren't Moffat. For Matt Smith, A Town Called Mercy by Toby Whithouse. In addition Jamie Mathieson is another such example in Capaldi's era with Mummy on the Orient Express and Flatline) Moffat works better when he allows himself to focus on a single environment like Skaro in The Witch's Familiar where Doctor, Davros have a conversation about their ideologies, Blink, and Empty Child. He loses the plot the moment he tries to jump back n' forth timelines without their seemingly being a reason to do so. (The Magician's Apprentice.) Why is The Doctor on a tank playing electric guitar in medieval England times? (Who cares now we're on Skaro) Things just happen in Moffat's era of Doctor Who and it becomes increasingly clear the more you watch it. Moffat is overated. Also, this special wasn't the 60th final it's a piece of the story, the second and thrid episode directly follow on from it.
      Anyway to end on Moffat. His characters are 2-Dimensional plot devices, his plot lines are more often than not needlessly contrived and his story arcs are all over the place. Oh and his fans are really obnoxiously annoying who are under the impression they've solved some of the most complicated Doctor Who stories when a lot of them are a random mess of contradictions...
