Never thought about DIY washi tape. I get quite a lot of Amazon packaging which I throw away but now I will recycle. I have used a lot of your ideas so thank you Nina.🤔🤔xxx
Hello and good day Nina. I'm a new member to your channel. I will be making washi tape today, for I already have the supplies. Thank you so very much for your videos.
This looks like so much fun Nina, I can't wait to have a play. Not that I need washi, I have way to many already. I have to finish my mowing today, I got front yard cut and edged and half of the back cut before I got too hot! Mom has a new friend, a simulation tabby cat. They have a number of the dogs and cats in her memory care and is a great calming influence for her. I hope this finds you enjoying your day and that you have a great week.
Thanks Debbie. Our grass is not growing at all and currently looks like straw as we haven’t had any significant rain for months - very unusual for the U.K. haha! So glad to hear that your Mum is feeling calmer. I think they are using virtual pets in some of our care homes here too. Housework for me today and then hopefully some crafting time during the week. Hope you have a good week too 💕 xo
Good morning nina, this week I have been making backgrounds as well...back to basics, some paint, stamps, stencils and just play. What a good idea to make washitape of them. Cutting them up always gives nice surprises, details of the pattern, that make a new pattern. Today gardentime, it is a cooler day, so time to get actuve.Have a nice sunday and a good week. Love and hugs , lenaxxx
Good morning Lena. My mojo took a walk last week so I decided to go right back to basics. I never tire of making these simple projects. There was no grass cutting for me again yesterday as our grass is still like straw and not growing, although it is starting to come back in patches. They are predicting temperatures in the 30’s again for August. I am not complaining as I love the summer months even though our garden doesn’t. Hope you have a wonderful week. Love and hugs 💕 xxxx
Thank you so much Nina, I really really enjoyed watching you create those amazing and gorgeous washi tape strips. I’m really going to try this out, I really really love ❤️ the results and so useful too.... thank you to for bringing us all these Sunday morning treats, I really really look forward to seeing you and Kylie each week. Please stay safe and well too xxx Mags
I wasn't too sure about this project initially but started getting excited as it progressed. And then the big reveal where they were cut into strips was gorgeous!!! I really liked the color choices you made also. Thanks Nina! Janet💕
Love these Nina. I've made these but not on sticky backed paper. I like coffee themed items so I used stamps and colour pertaining to coffee. I chop them to any size for my journals, easy to stick down with glue stick, great fun. Thank you.
Always a good time to make one’s own washi tape. Frequently, when I don’t know what to do, I’ll make tape for future use. Have a grand ‘ole week, Nina. I started making holiday cards because there are so many to send out these days.
Yes, I wanted a quick project this week as I didn’t have much time on my hands. These would be perfect for doing when your mojo does a runner too. Have s fabulous week 💕 xo
Absolutely stunning as always, I just need to get my mits on some of that double sided stuff. I've got an idea for this weeks prompt, something a bit different, we'll see if I can pull it off. Hope you're having a fabulous weekend, bit rainy here in Lancashire, but at least it's not so hot we can't breathe lol. Tfs xo
These look amazing. I wouldn't use Amazon paper for mine though because I think the paper smells horrible and then it makes me think its dirty. But I do want to spruce up some old painty papers and do this with them sometime. Xxx
Love these Nina, you do make fabulous masterboards and the dbl sided tape is a great idea. Hopefully I can get back to my studio soon and participate!💕🇨🇦
I love these Nina, they're so pretty. I've just completed 2 Steam punk journals, so I'll clear my table tomorrow and start on some homemade washi tape - I hope they turn out as lovely as yours?!! You've certainly given me inspiration. Thank you so much. Take care and have a great week. xx
Haha, I definitely need a good tidy up. I have stuff everywhere. My New Years resolution to keep things neat and tidy has failed miserably! Hope you have a great week too 💕 xx
I'm sorry about my lack of understanding, but how these suppose to adere as a washi tape? The paper on the back can adere in some way? BTW...... Loved the art on Kraft paper! 🥰🤭🤷🏼🌼🐝
No. I stuck the paper to double sided sticky paper which I shared at the beginning of the video. When I am ready to use it, I can just peel the backing off and stick it down to my project 💕
@@NinaRibenaMixedMedia I did see the full video and I saw you stick the sticky paper down, but at the end when you didn't peel it off, I got a little confused and was wondering if maybe you just glue it. I understand now. Can't wait to see a video on how it peels off and is used. Thank you.
Do you iron your packing paper? I have been saving some but it's much more wrinkled. That may add a 'look' but I'm curious if yours are flattened before you start.
Since this morning I’ve been trying to watch your video, but I don’t know why I can’t... it’s spinning, it’s spinning, but it won’t. I have no problems with other youtube videos or with your old videos... I don’t understand. am I the only one?
So glad to see you use all sorts of oddball items in your process. I’m always saving weird things…because it might be handy!
Surprising how nicer they look cut into strips. Great idea
Thanks Jacqueline, I think backgrounds like these always do 💕
Good evening nina, just saw england win ...european champion, well done girls. CONGRATULATIONSxxx lena

This would be such a good idea to get kids involved with too if you have them.. could even use home made potato and ither fruit and veg as the stamps!
Those turned out so cool! Thank you for the idea!
Thank you so much 💕
Love the colours, great washi tapes 😊it's so quick and easy time to get my paints out 😊😊💖
Thanks Elaine. Definitely a good one to do when time is not on your side. I don’t know where last week went 😁💕x

i'll definitley try to do this very soon!
They would make great edgings to craft envelopes, with a card inside in similar colours maybe - I may have a go and add a picture x
Yes, I am thinking cards, envelopes & tags, and little pieces of interest for journal pages 💕
Great idea Nina, I’ve got some ideas in my head! xxx💕
That’s great Susie. Happy Creating 💕 xxx
They are really lovely. Hope you feature some of the tapes in a project so. I’m going to try this. As usual, thanks for the inspiration.

Coffee themed ones would be great for vintage journals. Love how these can be interpreted to fit any colour scheme or style 💕
As always another fantastic tutorial, Nina! I’ve made a note of adding the gold for that extra pizzazz! 🙏🏽

I wonder if storing the Amazon paper with a couple of sheets of tumble dryer papers would help? I notice some packing tapes smell disgusting too! X.
@@paulinewhite3273 ooh I didn't think about that. It might work, I shall give it a try. Thankyou 😃🥰

Thanks Cindy. I didn’t have much time on my hands last week, but I always enjoy this kind of creating 💕
I just had a thought of what to do with the non stick backing you peeled off, I could make a reusable sticker book/journal!

Thanks Nina. Where has Kylie gone? Hope she's okay x
Hello Trish, thanks for your concern. Kylie has some family matters she is dealing with so we’re not sure at the moment when she’ll be back x
I'd call that printed tape, as washi tape uses washi paper, which has its own properties. (Yes, I can be a bit pedantic. 😄)
Haha 😁, yes I suppose it is really just printed tape 😘
